Your thoughts and feelings on ACOMAF are the same as mine. Absolutely loved it and excited to see your thoughts on the rest of the series. I’m currently halfway through the 2nd Crescent City book and enjoying it, but ACOMAF has my heart

Love your reading vlogs! I also loved Fourth Wing. I pre-ordered Iron Flame, but I am kind of afraid to pick it up because of all the reviews I've heard that are in line with yours. I am wondering if book 2 came out too soon after book 1. Hopefully she will take more time with book 3 and it will have a better edit. I read the first book in the ACOTAR series and I felt just "meh" about it, but hearing you talk about ACOMAF makes me want to try again. :)
thank you!! and I agree with Iron Flame - I would have waited longer if it meant it got some proper editing. and stick with it on ACOTAR! book one is very 'meh', I felt the same way. but trust me...it's worth getting through book one to get to the other books in the series!!
I enjoyed Iron Flame, but I keep telling people: it's not good, but I found it entertaining. 😅 It absolutely could have been two books, too. Parts 1 + 2 just felt like two separate things.
Ok, I’m late to this, but holy moly. First, what I wouldn’t give to be able to read ACOMAF for the first time again😭I think it was my favorite in the series.
And two, get ready for my rant: Thank you for validating all my feelings about Iron Flame! I thought I was the only one! What a freaking bummer that turned out to be. I DNFd it around 450 about a month ago after slogging through it for weeks. When I finally decide to just let it go and look up spoilers to at least know what happened, I didn’t even care about the cliffhanger at that point. Like, I was emotionally unattached to every character. How Yarros managed to make me loathe Violet at that point still amazes me. The whole book was a character and plot line salad with bad fat-free dressing.
It could’ve been half as long. It could’ve had a heck of a lot less infantile miscommunication junk between Violet and Xaden (who both got completely on my nerves)
I’m sorry, you want me to believe Xaden, the confident badass dude , needs to hear “three little words”? As if. Puhleeeze🙄😂 and then part two adds 45 new characters I don’t care enough about. I was so crazy hyped about this book and it’s not just that it didn’t deliver, it just did NOTHING😢
I listened to fourth wing and iron flame and honestly iron flame was just not giving as much. Is she rushing thru the series?
