Oh my word! As a young lad living there from 1970-1998 this video tugged at so many nostalgic strings!!!!! Most of those older buildings had the ready-mix poured by my dad's concrete company which was located on Tatton road in the 105. We lived just off of the property on (you guessed it) Scuffi Road. Thank you for taking the time to make this. :)
Hi This is my 1st time watching your video. Your video is awesome. Your very detailed, informative, and a clear speaker about everything and you DON'T HAVE LOAD MUSIC in the background like everyone else does..... Had a Trucking Company all over North America but I have picked up and dropped freight in 100 mile house BC for like 40 years. Its been a while and nice to see what 100 mile has. Again fantastic video. I will be subscribing after I watch a couple more of your videos. Thank you kindly for sharing. Cheers Dave Calgary Alberta Canada 😊
@@TinagirlTravels their food should be good! I live in Korea and I haven't seen them over 5 yrs. I hope COVID end soon and I'll be able to visit them :'( I was going to visit them last summer.. and pandemic broke
Trading area is 20,000 , We have 3 car truck dealerships here, Ford, GM AND DODGE CRYSLER...I MOVED HEAR FROM VANCOUVER 48 YEARS ago I still love this town. I was one of the contracters that restored the old Watson Mansion when it became circle J
5:44 that blue building is the art gallery! Also somewhere near there is the entrance to centennial park where there is a river that people go swimming in. Ive also seen some car shows in the parking lot of the park. Also in the mall there is a clinic, a dentist office, and some sort of miscellaneous store? I was going to the highschool when you posted this. Not the greatest place in the world but its ok. On weekdays at noon the town is flooded with teenagers because they can leave during lunch time. Long lines at the freshco lol. Also the tim Hortons gets such a long line it gets to the highway!
Hi Tina, Great video and love the use of Google maps. Keep up the good work! If you can give a tour of Abbotsford, BC it would be great. Have a good one...
Lol, thanks for the vid - but '20,000 ppl'? The actual town of 100 Mile House has a population of about a 10th that size at around 2000 ppl last I checked, and the twenty-thousand is if you were to include ALL the surrounding areas - Lone Butte, Buffalo Creek, Forest Grove, and the list goes on. Still though, always nice seeing video of my little hometown in BC - thanks. :)

@@TinagirlTravels yes I have family there still couple uncle's and a cousin they all live near Forrest Grove. Got a a&w dairy Queen I think is still there might have closed though and a Tim Hortons. Mills have shut down though and OSB plant unfortunately that hurt the economy of 100 mile.

Such a great story! Thanks for watching!
I was born and raised here! So many changes every time I visit!
My friend has a bookstore there, “Nuthatch Books” Mile House 104, Birch Ave #100, just where you turned right at the Laundromat
I’ll make sure to stop in there next time we drive through!

Hi Dave, thanks so much for watching my videos and for your kind comments!
Hi! My mom runs the SUSHI restaurant in 100mile house lol so funny to look at it from your clip lmao nice work!
Maybe we’ll stop there and try it out on our way home!!

@@stephaniesonyoun2225 I hope you get a chance to see them soon!
Funny how this place wasn’t converted to 161 Kilometer House in the 1970s. Seriously, wouldn’t have surprised me knowing Canadian govt.
Nice video of 100 mile house, a bit fast, but it was a pleasure to see some of the main buildings and surroundings. Family is still on watch lake.
I grew up there and it was always so nice.
Always stop for donuts at BJs Doughnuts!!! The best you ever had!! Usually sold out by noon so get there early.
Thanks for the tip!
I live in the area for over 40 years. In the Cariboo Mall there is a ICBC Insurance Hub, Pharmasave, and dentist's office
Seems like a great little community! My cousin and his wife just moved there.
Hi Tina this was a great little travelogue! One little correction though: the population is 2000 not 20000 lol
😂, thanks for the correction!

Yes, many people have pointed out my mistake.
Ayyy, I live here!! Love the representation
It’s a great little town!
@@TinagirlTravels not really lol. Our water is pretty much undrinkable due to the calcium build up.

Thank you for the video! What are the people like in 100 Mile?
The people of 100 Mile are kind, hard working people with a great sense of community.
We always stop at the DQ when driving through!
nice drive......
Thanks for watching!!
Did you say the population is 20,000? (at the 1:50 mark of your video) I'm sure you meant 2000, at least that's what it says if you google it.
Yes, my mistake, I think I mentioned it in my description.
I had no idea that downtown area was there. I always drive through on the highway going to PG or Van. I never stop in 100 Mile.
I know right!!! I was surprised as well!
I was born in 100 mile lived there for 13 year's until we moved.
Have you been back since you moved? What’s changed?

warning! the red coach inn is not an operating business, it is a disastrous wreck of an abandoned building o_0
Thanks for the warning.
I was also born there
Lucky you, 100 Mile is a great community!
I think more people live at 108 then there are in 100 mile house.
Probably

Yes, it could be a bad year for many communities. Hopefully we get some rain soon.
