Repeat this for 20 minutes is what the boss fight experience like. They had to pull the game back to redo the combat system and I still don't see any chance it is going to be anywhere near Wukong at all.

To anyone here that reads this msg, I just played the game for 2 days (the chinese version btw). Combat is kind of similar to a mix of mmo's button mashing, black myth wukong's dodge, and sekiro's parry. Graphics is ACTUALLY amazing, so good that older graphics cards might struggle to keep up. Plants as well can be chopped and fall when u slice with blades, which is a cool visual mechanic. NPCs from all over can be talked to, and they use AI so u can "chat" with NPCs like chat bots, to get rewards when u please the AI. Minigames scattered all over the map, plenty to do. The chinese version is also free to play, and monetised with cosmetics only. So yeah good game if they can translate it successfully for global

I'll be happy, but like 5-10 USD not 20+.
I'll pay attention to this when it's a month from a global release. After tracking Korean games for many years only to see them never release overseas, it's frustrating seeing this happen over and over again.
I find very unlikely that big Korean and Chinese games will remain stuck forever in their regions nowadays. Most games I've played in 2024 were from those regions.

The Wu Xia genre is always a good choice when making a game! Looks like a good game...just hope the UI isn't bogged down by a tremendous amount of keys/buttons for moves, combos, and utilities which is usually typical of these genres for the last 12+ years.

Really hyped for this one, Where Winds Meet looks very interesting, the whole combat system combining martial arts and swordplay could be very engaging. The environment and world design looks incredible. Black Myth (Xbox release pls), AC Shadows I'm also really excited for Ooooh forgot about Phantom Balde 0 and Yotei but the rest of these East Asian inspired games I'm not as excited for to me slightly becoming over saturated just like the soulslike genre. Crimson Dessert, Rise of the robin and the one revealed at gameawards even Fallen Feathers (I'd maybe try that one) they're starting to blend into the same thing.
Just finish the first chapter on CN, is it suprisingly decent. Feels like combination genshin and assassin's creed, good character development too. End up feeling a bit emotional at the end of the chapter 1, even though all the story beats are very classic even cliche Wuxia.
looks like great movement and the game play and i really like you can like fight 2 or 3 people at ONCE and strike in different angles too, looks fun to play with a great distance from the player we control and the SCREEN DON'T Shake as much as other games while in a fighting combo move, looks great and so re freashing

This is a single player focused game first. Multiplayer as a second. It's a free game so microtransactions are to be expected. But you don't have to buy anything to progress in the game. It's completely optional.
