Finally, with the help of a local veterinarian and a few interns along with the state inspector we got the deer heard tested and new ear tags for all the deer.

gold sinks fast...you need to dig down to the black sand...look under the big rocks they trap the gold as it goes downstream
Put a few rocks, bricks or concrete blocks under the fs garbage cans. It will help slow or prevent the bottom from corroding.

I have a trashcan just like that. It was a city of Novato, California trashcan that they threw away. 1957 is a good year, the year I was born.
Glad to see the deer were tagged and tested with no loss of limbs or life..😂😅 The shop apartments look great, sans mirrors in the bathrooms. I mean, how else are you supposed to shave. No use for lights above the vanity now. 😮 Love ya'll ❤️

That triple light in the bathroom - genuinely thought, before you put the true shades on, that they had Poppy shades. Everything is starting to come together nicely. Enjoy the family visiting.
Heath the light you hung in the shop that came out of the Ranch is from the late 1940’s, early 1950’s and yes it came from Sears, Roebuck and Co. or Montgomery Wards, because in the house my Grandfather built after the WW2 hung the exact same lamp, I asked my grandmother where it came from Sears, Roebuck and Co. Or Montgomery Wards as he bought it new when he put the finishing touches on the house around 1949 to early 1950 or 1951.
I always though the pattern on the glass was very cool, and each of the rooms had its own special light fixture.
In the breeze way was a old gothic light fixture that was from around the turn of the century that look like something mid evil with spike on the bottom and 8 lights the stood vertical, and had chains the went down to each of the lights, with medallions to where it connect at the ceiling Mount. It was very heavy and I called it Dracula’s light from his castle.

Heath! About the terraces,.,, I posted a comment a few weeks back while you were working on that second level with the rocks... I know you're not always keen to advice, but I think you ought to consider widening each terrace to around 15-20 feet terraces moving up the hill towards that final pad that you have where you've traditionally stored all your equipment, and where the zip line you installed a few weeks ago are... That upper pad area looks to be around 40-50 feet wide... I would scrap that and use that space for your final terrace thus being able to make the terraces below it wider overall. Widening the terraces will make it so that you can plant peach trees, apple trees, blueberry bushes, and other sorts of food plants that you can use on the ranch. If you have 5 terraces in total, all of them 15-20 feet deep, you will even out the overall slope behind the house and make it so that rainfall can soak in more evenly across them all.
Advise is almost worth what you pay for it.
That light from the ranch is absolutely beautiful.

I don’t care what anyone says, those Glacier Bay toilets are workhorses and a good value. Looking forward to seeing your choice of a tankless water heater. Check out the smaller Rinnai units. They are a little expensive compared to other options, but they are quiet and have great low temp protection.

Why just feed them in the winter and keep them wild, it is easier and you do not have to keep calling in an expencive veterinarian

Even though it's not my taste the outcome of the shop addition is very pretty. Everything falls in line with the same rustic theme. And that's what I like overall.

Good morning, Heath! I had to pause the video as you were installing the light fixture. Our house was built in 1917 and we have the identical dish/globe for the light fixture in our pantry. I'm sure they were manufactured en masse, but I just found it funny to see another, as I had seen any since ours. The shop is looking fantastic. Thanks for sharing your work. God bless.

I remember Heath saying water heater as well. Was originally going to put it outside the bathroom but was worried about the shop getting too cold and having a freezing pipe issue.

Nice work with the buck. Shop looking great. The spacing behind toilet perhaps do a wood filler panel to pick up the wood from the basin. Then raise it with two shelves for paper tissues air freshener or towels. Should create a nice feature while filling the gap.

BTW: Those trash cans are a good protection from EMP/CME events...they can be used to store electronics that you don't want to get fried in one of those events.

That light is just beautiful. The trash can is pretty too. Why don't they make things with that quality and detail anymore? Are we that complacent? Or have we used up the resources to make them?
