  • As lion dancers, we do a variety of stacks (sometimes called tricks, stunts, or lifts), in which the head player is lifted by the tail player. These are the most acrobatic moves of lion dance. Watch this video to learn some of our basic stacks and see them in action!

    I like how you guys added the commentary during the lion dance stunts in action because I’m always confused on trying to figure out what they’re doing or what story they’re trying to tell.

    The lion dance team I’m a part of just taught us the two leg stand the other day. The videos really do make it look easier than it actually is because I almost face planted on our first try 😅, but we got it at the end.

      Stacks are lots of fun, but they do take a lot of practice to get right! All the dancers in the video worked really hard to get where they were. Glad to hear that you were able to land the two-leg :D
