I've seen McFly, McBusted and Busted live, they're really great. A thing to add about the music video, they actually reference one of their debut song with the school uniforms because What I go to school for had them wearing the uniforms too. :)

I was born in ‘96, so I was quite young when Busted released their first album in 2002, but I remember listening to that album so much! I even have a strong memory of playing one of their songs on CD and using my kids pop magazine to learn the lyrics that were printed on the back page! I never thought I’d get to see them play live but I’m now 24, I’ve seen them live 3 times and I’m even in their Night Driver live music video!! Insane!
I'm so happy you're diving into Busted's newer stuff. I really love their Night Driver album - it's different but it shows their more mature interests. You should also check out Fightstar - one of Charlie's projects. An amazingly hefty band, and Charlie shows his range.
The reason the fans love this band so much is because we thought we'd never get it again. Don't know if you know the story but the band split at the height of their fame in 2005 when Charlie left to do heavy rock (also worth checking out) and it was just never going to happen. Like there was more chance of winning the lottery than them getting back together. Then in 2016 they did. And so now we cherish every new thing we get from them haha!
Also the video calls back to some of their biggest hits and their music videos eg school scene references one of their biggest hits "What I Go To School For"

You should definitely listen to the rest of Halfway There, it’s their best album imo. Shipwrecked In Atlantis is probably my favourite track and its kind of a sequel to Air Hostess.

Anyways I wasn't a 90's baby, but I was a teenager in the 90's and I absolutely loved them. I think they are the reason I also love McFly so much. It makes me really happy and nostalgic that you react to both bands, so thanks for that ❤️
