This is nothing great it's a waste of time the mom had the right idea. You wanna do something great help another person what u gonna go your entire life helping no ppl but loving every cat u come into contact with all that ensures is that u die alone

When mother cats neglect their babies it's due to the kittens being sick the parents actually abandon their own when the babies are close to dying. I found that out when saved a kitten from her mother attacking her.. took it to the vets explained how I came across the kitten and Found out the baby was dying.. bcoz mother cat gave birth in paint.

@@sipratimes they can get pregnant 2 to 3 months after having kittens of it's still mating season. This is what my vet told me because my cat was in heat again 2½ months after having her kittens.

The mother didn't attck him or anything. She just batted him away. It's called weaning, when a mother cat tries to make her kittens more independent by rejecting them when they want to breastfeed. That will encourage them to eat more solid food.

@@NeonCats Starting early is always a good thing (at least thats what my mother told me). Plus we shouldn't judge animals when many human children get abandoned by their moms for various reasons.
The kitten should not be weaning until at least 8 weeks but ideally 12 weeks. They will become aggressive and hard to social or they won't grow properly

So sad but an unfortunate fact. I’ve seen this happen many times with not only cats but other animals as well. While very rare it happens. So very sad.
As they have been abandoned now by mother, they still need milk, so give them milk also with chicken as you say they eat,
But baby kittens need their mothers milk, cow milk wouldn’t do. So that’s one issue.

Get the Babies and snip the tips of their nails. That way their nursing is more comfortable for mom. Just use regular human nail clippers just snip a little off tip. Because they are probably tearing her up with those sharp little daggers when they're stimulating the milk.
Also just do front claws wrap babies in a blanket while doing them.
Ah I hope someone will feed them, my heart is broken for those little ones. I hope they get the care they deserve. I am so upset about them I love to cuddle them poor little cute babies. They need lots of love and care, how can the mother be so cruel and abandoned her babies. Those kittens will have the love they need. They are so adorable I wish them all the best in their future poor little ones x.

Could be two reasons, 1 the cat smelt the guys scent after he took him out of the box and that's why she rejected or 2 nature took over and decided she didn't want them

@@Love4Pets usually the kittens are a bit older before being weaned, those kittens are still pretty young to need the milk, but I guess not all cats have the same thought on that, but what can you do it's nature lol

The reason is that cats do not like to share her kittens, do not touch them or feed them, she must take responsibility to them to feel motherhood
Kittens are born with tiny needle like teeth. When the nurse it hurts the mother a lot. Plus they press mothers uddres with claws to force milk in teat. That hurts too so mother cats often take breaks. Often the start bleeding after feeding the kittens. Same is true for big cats also. Maybe thats why the mother discouraged the kitten

They are not old enough. You can tell when you see their molars come in but these kittens barely have any canines. Mother most likely rejected them because she smelled his scent! This is why you should never touch kittens with a cat that isn’t used to your scent.
@@anneszemko3108 Scent will go away. Kittens also have their own scent glands. So unless you implanted your glands to them there's no reason to believe they'd smell like you all the time lol.

It’s not that she doesn’t want them , it’s time for them to ween off of her milk now, they have teeth and are old enough to eat soft foods even though they are small , I’ve watched a lot of documentaries on cats and mom knows when it’s time to let go even though it seems very mean and sad to watch of Course 🥺

Are y dumb, no they are too young to be weaned they look 3 or 4 weeks old they nurse minimum until 8 weeks old. I have a stray & she nurse her kitten until 3 months. Kitten are independent at 4 months. They need at least 8 weeks minimum to develop properly. Usually nurse until between 12 to 16 weeks. Stop nursing at 4 weeks would be like weaning a human baby at 6 months & expect him to thrive.
She did not attack it she jyst warned it with swaps not full swiped with claws out,maby the mother gas an infection in her nipples thats what happened with one of my cats she barely fed them and when she ffid she would cry the nipples were red

Hey in having a problem just like this the mama cat that we adopted with her 2 kittens. She seems to be rejecting them. She might clean them one second then hiss or attack them the next and it's becoming a problem happens often they are indoor cats too
I don’t even think cats can experience but so many feelings, let alone a kitten, but it’s probably just confused and scared tbh, it’s fully grown now anyways, I don’t even think cats can feel like like we do, and read that part again before you judge me.

That wasn't her kitten he pulled out the box. She sniffed the kitten before attacking to see she recognized the scent. Why he didn't pull out the other kitten with the same color scheme. Do anything to get views I guess.

My God, that was heartbreaking. That poor innocent sweet Baby. The cry he was making to his mum is a cry of distress, the same short little cry, again and again. When he put his arms around his mum`s neck I was truly touched. He just stood there totally lost when she ran away. His sister started hissing, straight away, they are so intelligent, they sense everything. I hope his mum comes back to him and the other Baby`s. That Lovely little boy was shocked and Heartbroken.😥😭🐱💘💚💙
hiya steve that was heartbreaking very sad its made me cry poor kitten wanted mum and she rejected poor baby who is now in shock.koko is only about 1 herself so may not be able to cope.unless she feels threatened by a male like someone else said coz they could kill kittens.poor 3 kittens who she cared for and cleaned they loved her so much.i doubt she will come back to them now.look at my sister with that stray cat it just left its kitten and her poodle brought it to her.i can't believe what i saw🐾🐾❤☹🐈😻

His distress cry was so sad when he was calling her, He was just so dejected when she hit him and run away, I wanted to pick him up and cuddle the poor boy, he was devastated, like he was in shock. I have one feral cat in back alley. I saw 3 or 4 times already. Heartbreaking to see when she reject her own kittens. But usually after they can take care of their own. Latest one of 4 kittens in march 2023. The mother started dating again. I feed the kittens if I have spare food.

One of our mother kitty's did the same thing because her nipples where raw from nursing her litter, she'll be back to make up to her little ones, plus those babies look old enough to have their weaning begin.

I have handled 15 cats and in the beginning I too use to feel sad but after some experience I came to know that mother cat they stop feeding either if she is unable to produce milk or if it's weaning time or if she think that kitten is weak or carrying some infections... but I feel like she is unable to produce milk that's the reason she is running away...

The cat was obviously weaning the kittens. It may be a little bit before it's time, but the Mother was most likely out of her milk and began her weaning of the kittens.
The Mother wasn't that violent as everyone is trying to make it seem. People are trying to make the Mother look as pure evil and like its tried to kill its kittens outright.
It's just time for the kittens to be self reliant and they need to be eating solid foods. The owner should've taken care of that instead of repeatedly pushing the kittens onto the Mother and made it into an actual problem.
A weaned kitten being pushed onto the Mother will eventually get the kittens attacked because the Mother doesn't have milk to feed and it is stressful af.
It definitely didn't help that the owner put their scent onto the kittens and made them unrecognizable to their Mother.
The scent part was absolute bs, its a cat not a baby bird. She would still recognize her kittens scent if a human touched it.

For one thing, she is more comfortable around his smell than the smell of other cats.
In regards to when Guffy was around, when cats get ready to attack, they can end up reacting to the wrong thing. Yesterday, I watched a cat "protecting" a rescue kitten from the foster carer and ended up attacking another cat and almost knocking the kitten they were "protecting" off of a chair.
The weaning comment is more likely to me since the human is not even one she would consider a threat or run away from. The only part of this I don't see is the way she ran away. If I were to guess her instincts were fight or flight and she (like Maya) knows she can't get violent. Animals can get a bit violent when weaning.
If this is the case, her inexperience is a factor. It's too early for her to be violently weaning.

too much human affection will make kittens depend on the humans for food rather than hunt it for themselves, also mother cat probably rejected kitten cause she cannot recognize their natural smell? Humans smell different, mother cat will probably look after them but they need to learn independence too.
They don't see it that way. Especially kittens that young. Cats need to learn being held as a gesture of affection and not a threat. The more you hold young kittens the more scared they are to humans they will get.
The best way to teach cats about that is with mom's around. Kittens know if the human is bad mom would've reacted. If mom stays cool then it's good to be with humans. Without mom, the kittens will be on guard all the time which gives them stress which eventually leads to aggression. Cats under 8 weeks old won't get used to you. The more you try to socialize them without mom the more and more scared they get toward you. If you insist on raising kittens that young yourself it's best to just leave them alone and only approach them for feeding time, change their beddings, etc. They're too young to even understand being fed is a good thing. Let alone being picked up by humans.
It’s unfortunate that this gentleman spends time making videos and talking- he rarely touches the babies. In all of his videos he just touches them superficially.
Disappointed that Hope wasn't receptive to the little guy, but not surprised, because she doesn't like Coco, either. How can anyone not like Coco?
@@leavrhovec5947 I know that, and it made sense that she kept other cats away while she had her kittens, but she has continued to be hostile to all other cats, even with no kittens to protect. It just seems strange for such a people-friendly cat to not like any other cats. Maybe it's because of always having to be on guard from Maya.
Meanwhile, Coco seems to like most of the other cats around there except for MM, although he seems to at least tolerate her now. Still not sure what he thinks about Muddy, though. Maybe Hope would be nice to Muddy, who seems scarcely able to be a threat to anyone.
