Nice! What is your kit? Have you made any mods? What do you use to play the songs and take the drums out? How do your downstairs neighbors feel about your practice time?
Looks like a V-Drums kit from Roland (TD-17?). The sound they make without amplification is like slapping a tennis racket, so pretty quiet. If you don't bang your heel on the floor, I doubt the downstairs neighbor is bothered much. I used to play with an older version of this kit (TD-12), had to stop because the recoil on these pads was killing my wrist. I don't have the same issues with acoustic drums.
I’ve heard you can modify electric drums to eliminate the recoil issue. Just like with acoustic drums you can change the heads … and a bunch of other stuff. You’re not stuck with the stock feel of (most) electronic drums. As I understand it there is a correlation between rebound and quietness though. You can change the head to reduce recoil. There’s a video from a channel called “vdrum tips” called reducing electronic drum noise. It covers a lot of details.
I'm using the TD-17KVX2 with the stocks sounds that come with the kit. I'm using Cubase 11 for recording. And my neighbours don't mind because i don't live in a building ;)
Wow, 1k views! Thank you everyone for watching! That means alot to me!

@@zero11010with some advanced kits like mine, you can adjust the tension of the pads to your liking.
