It really says a lot when Roblox takes a game down, not because the developer of said game was outed as a pedophile, but because a company bigger than them ordered them to.
Roblox would rather take money and profits as a top priority, rather than the safety of its child fanbase.

I feel so bad for the kids who testified in defence of a groomer without even realizing that they’re basically revealing that he has even more victims. he has convinced them that real mature kids simply don’t get affected by harassment and manipulation or that if they were inappropriate first it’s their fault, never mind that the adult in the situation is the one who should know better. the “excuse” that the dev isn’t at fault because _several other adults_ had been acting inappropriate with one of the victims is also bone chilling.

My parents did that with me and it was like the late 2000s early 2010s. There are great programma and apps you can install nowadays that are even easy for less techsavy parents. Ofc it's not the parents fault but there ahouls be education on this topic specifically for them to help them protect their kids.

Roblox Corporation is possibly one of the worst corporations ever. When grooming allegations come out, they turn a blind eye, but if someone says a bad word, BANNED. And if anyone speaks out about them they get punished.

I'm currently 52 and have been gaming since Pong. I had a daughter later in life and this is the only game that I heavily monitored. Their are some serious scary predators in this community that aren't even trying to hide their intent. You'll have toxic people in any game lobby but this is like a shopping mall for Pedz. Parents need to wake up and watch their kids because the game companies only see income.

It never fails to amaze me just how _pathetic_ some human beings can be. I'm in my mid-30's, & there was very little outside of 'chat rooms' or 'forums' to interact with others when I was a teen. My parents are tech illiterate but even still, my Mom always says how glad she is that she doesn't have minor-kids nowadays.
My heart truly goes out to those who do, that have to try _so hard_ to keep their kids safe from creeps (without preventing them from being able to enjoy the things (like games) available to them online now). I know it's easier said than done, but I think something we neglect to teach kids about well enough is 'gaslighting' & 'manipulation tactics'.

Not only are they complicit in these degenerate and inappropriate acts by defending them or not taking any action, but some of the stuff in game could technically be considered as distributing CP or distributing to minors, which is illegal in so many places.

There was a developer who was outted as a creep who made a sonic game that after a while Sega themselves had to pressure Roblox to finally take it down, because Sega doesn't want their characters associated with people who take advantage of children on the internet

Just wanna point out a few things, you can't control the age rating on your game, it only applies to games with blood and violence. Also, images are set with "Image ID" which are on the creator developer marketplace, where you can upload a file, wait for it to be approved, and then you can use it. same thing with clothing.
That explains why the Castillo Protocol was boring and rated M for blood and gore.
ESRB can’t actually rate online games. Only the game’s assets like models and textures. Like Forza Horizon 4 for an example. It is Rated E for Everyone. But the online aspect is not, regardless of Turn 10 (Dev) or Microsoft says. But they can make rules (aka TOS/EULA).
Yes, the ESRB didn’t do a good job of rating and provide what type of content is in the game as well get the parents to see where the rating is then make their own judgement in the 90’s.

I personally have witnessed roblox's incompetence when it comes to the matter of pedophiles on their platform. I sent them a support ticket a few months ago with several pages of evidence against the pedophile in question, and I received a generic response back. The response said that they were basically going to ignore the whole thing because the grooming took place on skype and not on roblox itself. It's incredible how little they care about the safety of the children on their platform.

I feel you. A year ago I was constantly harassed by a man who was known in the community for being a pedo. I defended myself and ended up getting banned. He didnt . I sent a ticket and images because this DID happen on Roblox but I never not a response.

We all became friends with him and a few days later, he teleported us to the VIP room and told us of the situation. He wanted us to spread rumors to others so they can as well, like a wildfire.
He showed us evidence contained within a Google document, which was full of screenshots of Discord DM’s.

Threatening to un-alive themselves is one of the biggest signs of a toxic relationship and she manuvered through that time of her life perfectly. Ugh. I used to manipulate with cutting and suicide back in middle and high school. I wasn't socially intelligent and thought that was a good idea to put my partners through that. I thought it would make them want to be with me more on just the thought I actually would. Now, years later, I cringe every time I listen to something like this because I know what I did back then was awful and borderline inhumane to them. I decided I didn't want to put anybody through my manipulation again. So here I am, 25 years old and still working on myself. I don't manipulate anymore, but I still don't feel good enough yet to attempt to pursue another relationship. I need to be 10,000% sure I can be good enough for my partner, so they never have to worry about me or if I'm not being the best I can be for them. It's... lonely right now, but I know when I am at my peak, it will all be worth it.

There's also a person named Acorlan who groomed like 3 kids in a roblox game called Item Asylum, and it's worse because of the fact some of the staff are still friends with him, some of his victims are still friends with him and they are actively planning on easing him back into the community at some point.

i suggest that you migrate and play actual good games like pizza tower, battlebit remastered, hollow knight. heck, even FORTNITE if you dont buy any microtransactions, battlepasses and play it every other week like i do
they have been very prevalent since early 2000s, but they were extremely common even during the usenet era, during the ICQ era, during the MSN messenger era, during the yahoo chatroom era and even during the mIRC communities era, it really exploded as internet became more accessible and widespread for the average population. The begginings of Reddit, when Digg was popular, and back during the beggining of 4chan, when moot was posting naked pictures of himself on every board, saw a lot of small communities that groomed children around the topics they loves, including cartoons, games, and more.
It's always being there. It was just less frowned upon for some reason. It was less documented. It was seen as something that just happened, and was only moderated by deleting and warning people. Looking back during the 90s and 2000s internet, it really makes me think how little people cared about stuff like this. Even if you reported it, it would rarely get the perpetrator prosecuted and banned. It was always 'Just a joke'. They would usually reply to you with 'Welcome to the internet'.
A place where it happened a lot during early 2000s was during the boom of the MMO era. You would make guilds, have friends, connect, organize and enjoy the game together with people all around the world. I used to be a prominent leader of a clan in Conquer Online. One clan member would try to ask me to move out and live with her and send me pictures of her breasts to my e-mail. She wanted to visit me. She wanted me to marry her. I was 12. She was 45. This was back in 2001. Got many personal experiences like this.
There was a place where i remember people were groomed a lot too: the Aeriagames forums. They would make competitions where you exposed yourself with pictures of you, recordings of your voice, your room, where you live, what you do, what you love, what you dislike. People would get harrassed and doxxed, stalked irl, and groomed on a daily basis.
It's how it's always been. It's a good think it's being exposed and documented better during the last decade.

Being someone who has been groomed and sexually abused growing up, it's saddening how easy it is still for a predator to get to children on the internet and it's even sadder how children ignore warnings from us, adults, to stay away from adult sites, NSFW profiles and whatnot since, a lot of us, experienced shit we don't want them to.

It is unfortunately sad to see that some of these children are actually actively pursuing creeps. I have had an underage girl message me on a friend/dating app saying that she wanted older men, I proceeded to tell her that I was disgusted and offered some advice like potentially seeking out help from a medical professional. She basically said no and that she was going to keep doing it, so I reported her account and blocked her, there was nothing else I could do. I feel like many of these kids are suffering from mental health issues, a lack of parental love or other issues, hence why they engage in self destructive behaviour, something really needs to be done about this.

The fact that Roblox's blatant negligence led to a full fledged adult transporting a minor hundreds of miles across state borders to his place where they were together for 3 days is sickening. My stomach legit turned and my heart broke when I heard that because you just know what happened. Roblox needs to be heavily regulated. At this point, I wouldn't care if it got shut down. They're basically protecting these predators at this point.

There are so many people who joke about being attracted to children on roblox too. It's sickening. I haven't played in a while, and recently tried to play a game on roblox, only to see that it was full of bad avatars yelling about kidnapping and being attracted to kids. Disgusting.
I'm about 20 years older than the victims in this video, but the conversations are so scarily familiar. When I was a tween (pretending to be a little older but still a minor), I had men being creepy to me on mIRC (think proto-Discord) in a popular cartoon fandom. I didn't know what else to do but kind of humor them and do the Internet equivalent of laughing nervously. They took advantage of my burgeoning curiosity about sex and got off on my discomfort at being sexualized. Fortunately (?), none of them ever got to the point of threatening violence to me or themselves. I was also never sent, uh, phallus photography or coerced to provide my own. Such photos weren't impossible in the early 2000s, but this was before the ubiquity of quality cell phone cameras. They also didn't know my private details. Still, the conversations alone stick with me. I wasn't the only one, and these guys definitely zeroed in on underage girls. A couple of them even drew NSFW art of elementary-school-aged characters. The fandom just kind of... tolerated them. Even defended them against the few people who rightfully took them to task. It's difficult to imagine any of that flying now. They'd be appearing in videos like this.

I had a similar experience, still a minor but when I was around 10-ish was unfortunately victim to around the same kind of behaviour. I had an interest in cats, thought they were the cutest things ever and downloaded a game called "kitten cat simulator 3D" or something like that, it was on the appstore when I had a tablet. It was fine for a while, i occasionally joined public lobbies to cause destruction as it was a "break things, point reward" thing to keep dumb kids like me enticed. Although I was eventually made known that the game was a host to sexual activity and ERP. Whicchh I did infact fall prey to on numerous occasions by people presumably 16-17+ based on the grammar, typing skill, and orientation level they had. Its so weird, knowing a game as small and stupid at that could host so many.. gross people. I'm glad it didn't get to me sharing images or them sharing images but it was surely a bad experience. Its sad that people go through this, especially young girls who aren't taught better early on and are constantly sexualized like i was.
The most disturbing things about situations like this is the dates and how recent they are. It absolutely disgusts me how a multimillion dollar business like Roblox can 1) hide the info of predators 2) not have stricter rules and regulations about age requirements 3) still be used in general

To be fair, police don't usually have UA-cam channels and not every case is public.

They did go to the police but don't care about justice so they posted this all before the trial giving the defendants an easy mistrial due to jury prejudice or 2. they didn't go to the police and want clout instead of justice, with the Onision case the FBI literally said they couldn't do anything because Chris Hansen interviewed the victims before they did, and that it was publicised.

Roblox moderation is actually ass. As a roblox player, I've been banned multiple times for uploading "sexual content" when it's literally just a picture of my cat. Many of my friends have been VC banned for saying a swear word, when you can hear LITERAL CONVERSATIONS or cp, sexual content, pedophilia, etc, and they wouldn't even get a single warning, or do anything about it. and it's not just vc or images, it's with text too. my friends and 1 have received multiple bans for saying "gay" or something to do with pride month. the only time they actually do something about it is when someone makes a video about it or says something publically.
Just goes to show that giving our kids unsupervised access to the internet is never a good idea. The parents of these kids should be ashamed of themselves for allowing this sort of thing to happen.

PLEASE cover Sonar Studios, creators of the infamous "Creatures of Sonaria", they literally bait kids into promoting their game by offering them exclusive tradeables. Not only that but they manipulate young artists into making concepts for their games and then underpaying them and sometimes even not paying at all. And it gets worse. The owner of the group, Erythia, has on numerous occasions made pee jokes in the general chat of her discord server where the majority are minors, and is overall a disgusting and egotistical person. A good fella by the name of Frown_U2 has covered a lot of these issues in some of his videos, so if you want more information I recommend going to him.
"jokes" are used to test/push boundaries, it's a tactic predators use to hide behind. these people are vile.

I played Roblox as a teen and it does feel like an awful lot of devs turn out to be nonces. I wasn't exactly shocked since he'd previously admitted to uploading inappropriate content to the site, but I was super disappointed to learn about Mah_Bucket (Andrew) being so horrific. I enjoyed his games. I hate to think about how it must've impacted his friends, most notably zKevin, to learn that someone they trusted was like that.

I'm a 14 year old Roblox developer, and I'm not surprised. I've hired multiple people in the past that I thought were good scripters and people and turned out to be horrible monsters. Make sure to always be aware on who you talk to before you get to know them. I wish the victims of these horrible crimes a safe recovery.

Some of my friends and I created Roblox accounts for trolling, and it only took a couple of servers for me to realize what an unsafe cesspool the platform is. I wasn't comfortable messing with players like I do in other games because I'm an adult and felt anyone in my place could cause genuine harm to kids on there so easily. It should count as criminal negligence for Roblox to market itself toward kids and provide the bare minimum protection against predators.

Y'know I usually like to watch these kinds of videos as background noise, and like, it already disturbs me enough how PROMINENT this shit is in online spaces (especially in the art community)... but after interacting with children irl I can't help but actually feel sick to my stomach.
