I’m so thankful and blessed to have been hired as an extra in this movie. I saw Columbus do the slide on set live. That was the experience of a lifetime as well as being around the actors. I was the young lady in purple with my hair up walking by the bus before the competition started. Those were the best days of my life but my story is still being written. 💕
As a HUGE fan of dance movies , especially You Got Served and Stomp the Yard, and a fan of Columbus, I’m grateful to have see this. Never would’ve expected a basketball channel to highlight someone I feel doesn’t get enough shine
He kind of fell off after his legal issues 10 years ago, before that he was on a come up starring in some well known movies and his role in Scandal. It’s a shame as I like him as an actor but like with Majors he’s unlikely to get another shot
Period! As a former HBCU student.....Drumline was and still is top of my list as well! #Onebanonesound I watched the whole video and realized it was a list of dance movies.....🤷🏾♀️
I love Stomp the Yard! I loved him in Scandal. He can do comedy, drama, and dance. I hope he is in a better place and has stopped self sabotaging and got help. I was so sad for him during his toxic relationship with his ex-wife Superhead. He is a talented, charismatic and entertaining to watch always. I wish this fine man much success in the future.
I LOOOVEE THIS INTERVIEW!!!! BEST DANCE MOVIE EVER!👏👏👏👏 Everything and everyone, on point🙌 I wished they asked him about the STOMP THE YARD trend that came out earlier this year🤣 Filmed so uniquely🙏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Yeeees him and Chris best dancers in while movie. Definitely ❤ him in Scandal.... Would love to see him dance or just in MORE movies/TV shows. Definitely on my top Black actor of all time...
Stomp the Yard was def a better movie but after I watched You Got Served, I was tryna be a dancer 😂. Columbus stood out too. I didn't know he was an actor but his dancing was so dope I had to Google him to find out who he was. Stomp the Yard also made me notice that Chris Breezy is a dope dancer, singer, & actor.
Ngl, I couldn't stop looking at his finger, and that's no shade. I just never noticed it🤦🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️ cuz I saw a lot of his movies, and maybe I just wasn't paying attention. Was it always like that🤔Plz tell me if I could be wrong. Either way, great interview and actor🫡🔥💯#QuadTre
Yes they did like they keep trying Chris Brown too for the Rihanna scandal like other Breezy fans it's more to the that store and they still going after him while Rihanna is the only victim like I said it's more to that situation
Columbus Short u killed it in this movie. The question about who were the best dancers in the movie and u said u and Chris Brown.I beg to differ bro. Tight Eyez to me was the best dancer.
Sty is my favorite movie ever we didn’t have cable for a lil but for like 2 months me and my brother watched that movie every single day no cap ik all the words to that movie
For whatever reason it took this moment here for me to realize that gods and goddesses. Our people took interviewing to the highest level it can be. Remember nobody looked at the interviewer nobody cared about the interview they only wanted to see the stars. The one our people came into the mix our people put in their essence if you will. It made our people and possibly people of another race look at the interview and say dang I want to be like him I want to be able to interview people that I find interesting people that have made it people that are doing something with their lives and I’ve taken it to the highest level I can. And I absolutely love it I love the dynamic I love the connection I love the relationship I love the relatability. A great interviewer and interviewee should feel like friends who haven’t seen each other in a long time and they’re coming and gathering and conversing and raising each other’s energy showing each other’s love and keeping it real even if it gets painful. Just subscribed, notifications bell on!!! This is a dynamic interview and I can’t wait to see more.
At 12:45 he told the absolute truth, that's how ALL BLACKS felt around the country, ik I said that exact same quote,"Ahhhhhhhh!...... WHO TF IS DIS 🥷🏽!!!!!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👍🏽💪🏽💯
Right...I was like ahhhhhhh, the movie over now. Who gonna dance the rest of the movie! I didn't know this ninja could dance 😳😳 I never been so mad in my life😂😂
Probably my favorite dance movie of all time and definitely most watched. No way in hell was he ever half the dancer that Chris was though. He wasn’t as good as most of the actors but I liked him in the role enough to not care.
Not going to lie stump the yard is the greatest dance movie of all time In my opinion. the plot of the movie is great Shit I thought the movie was based on a true story at one point the ending makes you wanna cry. Everyone saying you got served but nah. The only thing I hate about the movie is that Chris died and didn’t have many Scenes for him. They also shouldn’t have made a part two without the main case. 🤦🏽♂️
Bruh legendary onna best summers of my life wen movie came out real talk lol stay safe RIP Rickey Henderson pray for our world BLM God bless checkout the band The Main Squeeze
How does Beat Street not get mentioned?? Come on Columbus I know breaking is a La dance movie so you gotta show love there but Beat Street based in NY is a classic dance movie fam lol
Columbus there is no waaaay yu knew who Tight Eyez was at that time he would’ve mopped you n Chris together Chris probably would tell you himself but dat movie forever classic
Back then he was not the best dancer on that set, He capping. Darren Hensen his rival on the movie off camera would bust him up bad! You can tell as a dancer that Columbus is a studio dancer then learned street dancing. Darren Hensen is a legit legend in the streets of dancing and choreograph big name artist including *NSYNC, Brittany Spears, Christina and many more and New York. Again he would murder Columbus! Everything that Columbus did Darren can do better but what Darren does Columbus can not do! Darren does this as a lifestyle. Columbus acts it!
AS FAR THE TOP 5 DANCE MOVIES, YOU CANNOT LEAVE OUT "TAP" BRO! AND AS FOR "WEST SIDE STORY" AND "DIRTY DANCING", GET OUTTA HERE WITH THAT, BRO! AT LEAST FOR "DIRTY DANCING" ANYWAY, CAUSE HONESTLY I'VE NEVER SEEN "WEST SIDE STORY"! I'D GO WITH "FOOT LOOSE" OVER "DIRTY DANCING"!
Stomp the Yard is definitely one of the greatest dance films ever made. The first dance battle was a permanent game-changer.
"We got unfinished business, boot licka." The response always gets me lol. "Indeed."
With the finger wagging in the air 😂😂
Yessss!!! Classic
This❤
Lmao 😂😂😂😂

I have watched ‘Stomp The Yard’ at least 20 times. I do plan to increase that number for sure. My favorite dance movie of all times ❤
Same
The first battle in Stomp The Yard will always be a classic
I want to see Columbus in more main stream movies 💯. Great actor and the fact that he freestyled the battle is even more crazier... Never knew that.
He kind of fell off after his legal issues 10 years ago, before that he was on a come up starring in some well known movies and his role in Scandal. It’s a shame as I like him as an actor but like with Majors he’s unlikely to get another shot

House Party was a great dance movie too.

I'm glad it's not his ring finger 🖖
This guy is a great actor. He still be doing his thing. I honestly think that Hollywood black balled him with the domestic abuse case.
He didn’t sell out that’s why he got blackballed
@SneakerGoodsMiamiTV I agree. See him on alot of Tubi movies that are pretty good.
Very true! He was killing on Scandal at the time
Yes they did like they keep trying Chris Brown too for the Rihanna scandal like other Breezy fans it's more to the that store and they still going after him while Rihanna is the only victim like I said it's more to that situation
Now he’s not.
Oh, this is Lil Walter from Cadillac Records. My baby don't stand no cheating, my babe. 🎶

Chris would’ve played his role better if they gave him the main character role
I always loved Columbus short. 😍🥰😘❤

Only thing is Breaking 2 “Electric Boogaloo” was just sooooooo horrible overall though.

@@onzanikkahayes6367Good movie but the dancing is not on the level of Stomp The Yard. Better movie but the dancing isn't nearly as good.
Great script
This! Part too isn’t bad but I prefer the first one way more. No shade to Teyana and them.
I love how y’all got that big ass tape on the table lol
Im a cry in the car

Let me take y’all {{{way}}} back! Breakin from 1984. Cast - Shabba Doo, Michael Chambers, Lucinda Dickey. Great dancing!
Neyo was in the movie
Yea as cornbread
Neyo was his dorm roommate
I love that movie ❤❤❤❤❤
West Side Story, Beat Street, Breaking, Stomp the Yard and You got served
Did something happen to his voice it used to be a lot deeper
WHEN IT COMES TO THE BETTER DANCE MOVIE, "STOMP THE YARD" IS GOOD, BUT "YOU GOT SERVE" IS BY FAR THE BETTER DANCE MOVIE!
TIGHT EYEZ - KRUMP KING!!!

A backflip isn't getting washed. A backflip isn't even dancing this comment is idiotic
TIGHT EYEZ BRO IS THE BEST DANCER IN THAT MOVIE
No Step Up?!
Beat Street
Step Up tooo
Fun fact Columbus Short made a cameo in step up 1 as a background dancer.
If its dancing we talking about then step up 3 is the best clear. Now overall movie with dancing it is stomp the yard.
Dirty Dancing a classic!!!
