Yeah, popularity is also a big thing for a rate. I highly doubt Silent Clubstep would have been rated if it wasn't as popular even if it was still verified.
@@Colours.Gaming Fingerdash and Dash are more like Geometrical Dominator and Blast processing difficulty basically! They should be downgraded to harder!
I know this is irrelevant, but I've been having a problem of my own regarding this game, it's the fact that every subdifficulty of demons share the same amount of stars and orbs. In my opinion, the harder a demon is, the more stars and orbs it should reward you.
This isnt a very good idea for a few reasons. 1. Star grinders would attempt to beat easy and medium demons right as they are rated to get more stars (since they would be hard demon) 2. People would vote extreme demon in the demon vote to get more stars from it
What the community often seems to forget is that a RobTop Insane or Harder is not the same as a Community Insane or Harder. Because of the fact that over time the skill of the community has been rising more and more, levels that would have been considered Insane 5 years ago would be rated 5 - 7 stars. RobTop has rated levels in comparison to his other levels, not in comparison to the creator levels
@@overshivermountain You can't compare levels from 1.7 at latest to levels from today/the rating standards. Robtop has even said he regrets rating those levels as demons but since they're so popular, it's too late to change them now.
Gotta remember that if we look at online levels there are 2 types of insanes, the 8 stars and the 9 stars, the levels you would classify as extreme are just 9 stars and the ones that you classify insane are the 8 stars
@@SomeCowguy i don't really take sight-readability into account also since my hardest is bloodbath i might not be able to gauge the difficulty difference very well anymore
To me i think electrodynamix should be demon. And not based off of robtop levels, but that there are easier demons than electrodynamix. Finger dash and dash should be harder not insane and i think it balances the levels more
For me, Base after Base is a pretty straightforward level that teaches you the flow of the game to actually practice Can't Let Go. I know a lot of people say its a really hated level, but I disagree with this statement. But for at least for the difficulty of levels, they were actually changed in 1.9 coz before the difficulyy ratings were completely different. But to be honest, I think that making the demon levels just like how it is in the servers is just a oretty good decision, because rsting it Demon is just plain confusing for new players on how hard the level actually is.
tbh rob should only upgrade level difficulty, not downgrade it It's better to get more rewards on an easy level than it is to get less rewards on a hard level
My biggest problem with the difficulty ratings is currently with platformer online levels. Take any demon-rated platformer level and it will be infinitely easier than any non-platformer easy demon. They're essentially harder levels rated as demons, I've beated three already and never felt like it deserved a demon rating
I think there should be another difficulty added to platformer levels at least. I hope to see something above extreme demon to help balance extreme demons for the future
@@dreamsdicc1817 for me it’s more like easy demon, it only took me like 15 minutes to complete it vs 8o (the only actual insane demon I’ve beaten) which took roughly 6000 attempts and many hours of frustration and annoying straight fly Logodomy looks hard and it is still fairly difficult but if you don’t get hit for like 5 seconds you heal back hp at a stupidly fast rate and suddenly you’re back to full (Apparently it’s been demoted to hard demon, just noticed)
Actually good points, as a player from 1.9. I do remember not taking too long to beat Base after Base starting out, and it does deserve a normal difficulty. xStep isn't that much harder than Time Machine or Cycles now that I think of it. It's not that close to Clutterfunk in difficulty so I do agree on giving it harder. ToE is just a bit easier than Clutterfunk, but not by a noteworthy margin. These should remain insane rated. Forgot to add: Electroman used to be a harder level, though idk why it became insane later on...
While I agree that the ratings for RobTop's levels make 0 sense, I think the solution would be to rate them correctly, not introduce another rating. Remember, for online levels, the Insane rating is technically already split between 8 and 9 stars, and I think there is (usually) a noticeable difficulty difference between the two. Also, the standards for ratings for Rob's levels and online levels are vastly different. In no way are Stereo Madness or Back On Track getting an Easy rating online, they're gonna end up with Hard ratings by the fact that you do actually have to click the mouse to beat the level.
I agree that there should be a new rating but i think it should be between harder and insane, clutterfunk, electrodynamics, and hexagone force are definitely insane but dash and fingerdash should be above time machine or cycles, but that’s just my opinion
the problem with this is that there arent many difficulty ratings and difficulty ratings are more varied than others. also with the cant let go vs base after base thing, if you take one look at a hard online level, you can see that at the time these levels were made, the hard rating works for both of them. Edit: this is the perspective of someone who has beaten some harder levels like hard demons, not from a new players perspective
I do agree but spamming new difficulty ratings just makes everything messy. A good way of giving more room for variation would be a number related to each rating. If a level is between Insane and Demon, it would have a difficulty number between 9 and 10 (like 9.73). This way you can know how harder is a level from the same difficulty. This would also serve as a way to see how close a level is to get a specific difficulty rating by the community. Each player vote changes the number which changes the difficulty.
Yep, that's because they rely on official levels to give the ratings to the online levels, which unfortunately, if Base Ater Base gets downgraded then so should some 4 star online levels. We don't want more mess in GD, editor is messy already.
I mean Hexagon Force is extreme the first time, but once you muscle memory the duel and figure out you can just focus on a single ship for the symmetrical duels, then it becomes really really easy, so I'd keep it an insane
A new player won't have all that muscle memory until they play the level enough attempts through to be more attempts than other levels, I'd say Hexagon is 100% this new rating. It was actually the last official level I did besides demons
In my opinion, when the noob people sees hard levels, they here like, Oh dayum this is hard. But when they are pro they were like Ez win gg; then you'd realize the hard levels are now easier that you've beaten it. What I'm saying is that the rating should remain like that because that's what it is(I'll exclude electrodynamix(should be "extreme"), and Base after base ("should be normal)). That's what at least I can say as a kinda-noob person.
I think RobTop should've made either a Extreme or a Tough difficulty extreme could've been a point between insane and demon with Elecrtodynamix and Hexagon force While tough could've been between harder and insane with Fingerdash xstep Dash and elecro man pushing insane to well, the harder insanes currently Although the current rating system is fine at most
Insane is already split into 2 semi difficulties, (8 stars and 9 stars) while they aren't really a thing in robtop levels, it shows that rob knew some levels of they same difficulty aren't exactly as hard as each other
@@GlitchByte404 Electrodynamix is not a easy demon at all. The problem is that most of recent easy demons are too easy, instead of being only isane 9 stars. Old insane 9 stars online levels from the version 1.7/1.8 were also much harder than recent 9 stars and recent easy demons. Just look at insane map packs and you will understand what I mean.
I beat Dash in a literal day, and the 3 robtop levels I’ve never beaten are the demons (insane is my peak) I should not be able to beat an insane in a day
Difficulties are not supposed to tell you the exact difficulty of the level, its supposed to give you a rough idea, for example decode and toe 2 are both easy demons, but decode is still noticeably harder.
There’s a level rated insane 8 stars I can beat in 1 attempt over and over again but there’s a 6 star level I keep dying on. Robs rating system annoys me sometimes because it’s just not accurate.
I don't think TOE 2 should have the same rating as electrodynamix TOE 2 has a lot more choke points for which we might get stuck... It plays around with more objects and it's not that focused on one mode as compared to Electrodynamix
@@vedant_tejas I mean imo, toe2 is a high end easy demon while electrodynamix could be a beginner one but anyways it's very subjective. Like ICDX and Windy Landscape have also the same rating, even if ICDX is much harder, and it's kinda impossible to avoid.
@@luckytime1034 I think if hard insane would exist... I would love to put clutterfunk and electrodynamix... I think we must keep the consistency that demon is hard but more than it it's more varied... They test your overall skills and therefore will contain many game modes. What I mean to say is demon levels are generally well designed for all round gameplay and skill. I will term demon as a level which is designed to keep multiple game modes in mind in such a way that they interchange with progression. I would also not rate hexagon force and clutterfunk in the same way since the dual part of hexagonal force becomes very easy when you remember the sequence. Clutterfunk is more skill based and you actually have to have skill to manage the mini gameplay since it is very dependent on it... The duration is also much greater in clutterfunk for mini Correct me if you have any suggestions
Personal Opinion: Stereo Madness - Easy Back on Track - Easy Polargeist to Base After Base - Medium Can't let go - Hard Jumper to XStep - Harder Clutterfunk - Insane ToE - Insane Electroman Adventures - Debatable between Harder and Insane Clubstep - Medium Demon Electrodynamix - Easy Demon Hexagon Force - Insane(Easy demon very little chance) Blast Processing - Harder ToE2 - Medium or Hard Demon Geometrical Dominator - Insane Deadlocked - Medium or Hard Demon Fingerdash - Harder Dash - Harder
@@Hydrogen70 I agree with Electro-Adventures being Harder; it was my 9th RobTop level. Dash as Harder and the demons being elevated a step is crazy. Medium for Normal is supercrazy
No one likes insane rated levels because they are hard enough and don't increase the demon count. Easy basically have the same difficulty as insane levels but give you the extra demon count which is what people want more. And an extra star. I mean theres no such thing as an insane grinder bruh.
These should change imo: Poltergeist - easy Base after base - normal Jumper - hard Xstep - harder TOE - harder Electroman adv. - harder Blast processing - hard Fingerdash - harder Dash - harder
I honestly think the rating system is fine for the main levels. I’ve always looked at the star rating of each level to tell how difficult it is, not the just the face itself. That way you know that Clutterfunk is harder than xStep, and Electrodynamix is even harder. Theory of Everything, Fingerdash, and Dash are also 12* because the new gimmicks and tricks they introduce can easily throw off unsuspecting players. And they are all “Insane” because they really put the player’s skills to the test more so than Blast Processing or Cycles do.
I feel like insane are almost always failed easy demons, so most of the time when it’s not demon difficulty it’s just easy end insane, so I think a difficulty should be before insane instead
When i played geometry dash for the first time, i heavily struggled on stereo madness. After i beat it, the rest of the levels were so easy, didnt have a problem with cant let go
My personal changes: Base after Base -> Normal Jumper -> Hard X Step -> Harder Electroman Adventures -> Harder Electrodynamix -> Demon Geometrical Dominator: Hard
Electrodynamix is not a demon. Get good at the game. Electroman adventures is not even near harder. Harder than clutterfunk once you’ve mastered both levels.
Personal Changes Polargeist Normal -> Easy Base After Base Hard -> Normal Jumper Harder -> Normal Time Machine Harder -> Hard Xstep Insane -> Hard Theory of Everything Insane -> Harder Electroman Adventures Insane -> Harder Hexagon Force Insane -> Harder Blast Processing Harder -> Hard Fingerdash Insane -> Harder Dash Insane -> Harder
Electrodynamix is a contender for demon, but i think it should get a 13* insane instead since it's clearly way harder than other insane levels, but easy enough execution wise to not be a RobTop demon. Xstep is fine on insane since with the introduction of blue pads that might disorient new players with how many times gravity gets switched. Also a good way to introduce new players what to expect on Insane levels. Base after Base needs to be downgraded to normal, the level is simple enough for new players to get used to quickly.
why should we be trusting this man when he joined in 2.2? YOU GET LESS ORBS YOU GET LESS ORBS YOU GET LESS ORBS. IF GD COLONE DIDNT TALK ABOUT THIS, WHY DOES IT EVEN MATTER. NOBODY EVEN CARES ABOUT THE RATING. YOU ALSO GET LESS STARS *sigh* 5:25 also you took the top route so nobody is going to take you seriously now
The whole point of a topic of discussion is to tap into a community of people who do care about a topic Also to say I joined in 2.2 is idiotic lmao, big time. I’ve played the game since my 4th year in school. I’m now graduated. Talking about some “he joined in 2.2” LMAO
Its so weird how i got recommended this with the thought that 4 of my 5 major projects got rated, and the one that got rated was complete rng (most of them on my channel) Its so unfortunate that there are probably an infinite amount of passionate creators without the support they deserve who spill their heart and soul into creating and none of the VERY LEAST of them get to see the light of day.
Here is how I would change the ratings Base after base: Hard --> normal Jumper: Harder --> hard Electrodynamix, hexagon force, and clutterfunk: insane --> extreme cycles could maybe get upgraded I'm kinda 50/50 on that tho
Comparing 2 insane levels to one insane level that’s much harder is simply not how things work. RobTop makes levels completely separately from each other if that makes sense. What Im trying to say is that just because Electrodynamix is rated insane does not mean that ToE and Electroman Adventures should be downgraded to harder. Now, don’t get me wrong, I do believe that ToE and Electroman Adventures should be downgraded, but that’s because they just aren’t hard enough to be rated insane, not because there’s a much harder insane rated level. For instance, Clutterfunk is a level that I think should stay as an insane level, and that’s clearly significantly easier than Electrodynamix and also Hexagon Force for that matter. Like what you said about Fingerdash being insane but finding it odd to be in the same category as Hexagon Force (even though I actually think Fingerdash should also be downgraded).
Compare the current Top 1 Level on featured list (8 Star insane) and Seasonal Haven in the Split gauntlet (also an 8 star) and you'll see what really makes no sense
I don't think there should be a new difficulty between insane and demon, there should be one between harder and insane and it would be the place for xStep and Fingerdash, possibly also Geometrical Dominator.
Here’s my take: I think there are definitely flaws in the rating system of Geometry Dash. Like, Xstep being rated the same as Electrodynamix? Give me a break. RobTop should definitely re-evaluate the difficulties he allocates to each level. FOR THE NEW RATING, I think we should use the “Easy Demon”. It is a genuine level that describes that in-between of Insane to Demon. There’s a UA-camr called MUSIC SOUNDS [GD] who attempted “Full Versions” of each level. Basically, if a song is 3-minutes long, its respective level is extended out for that duration. As you could imagine, each level was rated a spot or two higher, since you have to endure the level for 2 or 3 times longer. E.G. Stereo Madness has “Normal”, Can’t Let Go has “Insane”. Interestingly, I noticed Xstep was rated, “Easy Demon”, which I think is a reasonable rating for 3 and a half straight minutes of perfect Xstep gameplay. AND THAT GOT ME THINKING: “Why not use Easy Demon as an official rating for the main 22 levels?” *So here’s my list of what I’d personally rate each level:* ------------ Stereo Madness - Easy 🔵 Bacc on Tracc - Easy 🔵 Polargeist - Easy 🔵 Dry Out - Normal 🟢 Base After Base - Normal 🟢 Can’t Let Go - Hard 🟡 Jumper - Hard 🟡 Time Machine - Harder 🟠 Cycles - Harder 🟠 Xstep - Harder 🟠 Clutterfunk - Insane 🟣 Theory of Everything - Harder 🟠 Electroman Adventures - Harder 🟠 (though Insane is also potentially giveable) Clubstep - Easy Demon 👿 Electrodynamicc - Insane 🟣 Hexagon Force - Insane 🟣 Blast Processing - Harder 🟠 (Barely) Theory of Everything 2 - Demon 👹 Geometrical Dominator - Harder 🟠 Deadlocced - Demon 👹 (Obviously) Fingerdash - Insane 🟣 (Again, barely) Dash - Insane 🟣 Do you agree or disagree with this list? Please let me know!
I absolutely agree with some of these points, I actually felt something good when beating cant let go, still struggle with clutterfunk, hexagon force, and electrodynamix I feel like some of the ratings should be changed or the levels should live up to their difficulties (aka buff), but I highly recommend the first option
What you are saying makes NO sense. These levels with the same rating are different stars, which indicates the difficulty. The difficulty faces are general ratings for a section of difficulty, like insane being not quite demon to just past harder. They AREN'T the same rating, because of the stars.
What you are saying makes NO sense. These levels have different stars, also that doesn’t indicate the difficulty. Because this therefore means fingerdash and dash are on the same level as electrodynamix. Try again
i remember playing gd for a while before i quit and then i uploaded it again, by the time i did it such levels as electrodynamix and hexagon force was released and i sincerely thought there will be no trouble for me to beat them since i have already beat all the insane levels from xstep to electroman adventures. i was so surprised realizing that for the several days playing i only reached like 10-20% in both of them! all the time i found xstep as a pure example of an insane level, but electrodynamix and hexagon force were just WAY harder than it. my point of view was crunched
I wanted my platformer rated as easy but it was rated normal then 4 days later they rated it hard ever though its an easy level u cant die in like bruh it needs fixing]
ok first of all, i'm gonna say that I disagree with some points made in this video. Not because they're wrong - but rather because they're all different for everyone. The thing is, that difficulty of the level itself cannot be described perfectly in one icon, for example: i can beat clutterfunk first try, but i will suck at electrodynamix and x-step all my life, yet fingerdash is the easiest insane of them all, but dash is harder due to new game mechanics. It's not all uniform and that's obvious, plus - difficulty perception changes over time: i recently saw a comment under the level saying that "can we please not make vertical gameplay it's hard", and it gave me such a flashback to Dry Out, when I was flipping my phone in order to combat reverse gravity. What I'm saying, is that some players are better at one thing and worse at other. And if i were to create a different rating system - adding one more icon is useless, maybe it would be better to rather have like sliders on ship control, or fast reaction, or rhythm etc etc
My take on how these levels should be re-rated (With the addition to the Extreme difficulty): Stereo Madness - Easy Back On Track - Easy Polargeist - Easy Dry Out - Normal Base After Base - Normal Can't Let Go - Hard Jumper - Hard Time Machine - Hard Cycles - Harder Xstep - Harder Clutterfunk - Insane Theory Of Everything - Harder Electroman Adventures - Insane Clubstep - Medium Demon Electrodynamix - Extreme* Hexagon Force - Insane Blast Processing - Hard Theory of Everything 2 - Easy/Medium Demon** Geometrical Dominator - Harder Deadlocked - Hard Demon Fingerdash - Harder Dash - Insane (because new) Well that was fun. Again, these are how I view it and you can take it with a grain of salt. * Welp, here's the first and only extreme rating for this level since it requires a lot of focus to beat it. ** Im conflicted about this one since it's the first official demon I beat and I find it easier than beating Clubstep.
My Version Stereo Madness-🔵 Back on Track-🔵 Polargeist-🔵 Dry Out-🟢 Base After Base-🟢 Can't Let Go-🟡 Jumper-🟡 Time Machine-🟠 Cycles-🟠 xStep-🟠 Clutterfunk-🟣 Theory of Everything-🟠 Electroman Adventures-🟠 Clubstep-🟣 Electrodynamix-🟣 Hexagon Force-🟣 Blast Processing-🟡 ToE2-😈 Geometrical Dominator-🟠 Deadlocked-😈 Fingerdash-🟠 Dash-🟣
If I could remake GD, it would have these difficulties: - Safe Auto, 0xp 0orb: Auto where it's impossible to die. - Unsafe Auto, 1xp 1orb: regular Autos, and "keep holding" Autos. - Easy 2xp 3orb: maps that can be beaten by an absolute noob, in less than 30 attempts (Stereo Madness is not Easy). - Mid 6xp 9orb: can be beaten by average casual players, in less than 40 attempts. These are equivalent to Normal, Hard, and a few Harders. - Hard 16xp 24orb: beatable by average "dedicated" players, in less than 60 attempts. Equivalent to Hard and Harder. - Harder 48xp 64orbs: beatable by experienced players in less than 500 attempts. Equivalent to Harder, Insane, Easy Demon, and Medium Demon. - Extreme 128xp 196orb: only beatable by professional players, in less than 2000 att. Equivalent to Hard, Insane, and Extreme Demons. - Hacker, ? xp & ? orb: Equivalent to "Top 0 DemonList". Beyond the human limit. Only beatable with speed-hack, because it's *filled to the brim with "frame-perfects" at 480Hz.* These are the "Silent" type (not Silent Clubstep, because that's beatable). - Infinite, variable xp and orbs: Impossible to beat, because it never ends. You get rewards according to how far you go, or how much time you survive. The map-maker may choose to add in-game xp/orb objects, meaning that you only get rewarded by collecting them (no time-space reward). "xp" is the replacement of Stars/Moons. It's exponential (just like orbs) to make it fair.
If I judge the difficulty of the insane levels according to today's standards, Fingerdash, Dash and XStep (maybe electroman) would be 7 stars, Clutterfunk,ToE and Hexagon Force maybe 8, and Electrodynamix is definitely not the same difficulty as Hexagon Force, due to some blind inputs its speed but I'm not saying that the levels I have mentioned need to have those respective stars and difficulties I mentioned, but to make it more balanced RobTop can adjust the stars and not change the difficulties for clarity. I feel that the "Extreme" difficulty is redundant because there is already a super thin line between 9 stars and an easy demon, and even if the insane 9* became got renamed to extreme, people just look at the stars of insane levels and easily differentiate. RobTop level ratings are very different from community ratings because we have got better at the game, therefore I don't think the difficulty of some levels difficulty faces need to downgrade because the main levels' difficulties are relative to each other, not to custom levels, but the stars need to adjust.
I would say that Fingerdash deserves Insane difficulty because of the last wave part and the new gamemode to the newbie player: Spider. The last wave part can be a run killer honestly while the rest of Fingerdash is probably Harder.
But the current system works well as a parallel to the demon system, Easy demon = Easy Medium demon = Normal Hard demon = Hard Insane demon = Harder Extreme demon = Insane
I think the fact that Normal, Hard, Harder and Insane can give off different amounts of stars has always been weird to me. It feels like such a weird way to divide the ratings, yet changing it at this point wouldn't work either. However, I think changing the 9 star insane to it's own "extreme" rating works perfectly, as the difficulty difference between a 3 and 4 star isn't really that drastic, the difference between 8 and 9 star is very big, like 9 star quite literally is almost a demon level.
Insane difficulty is 8, 9 stars, harder is 6, 7. I think the stars should be the same as the actual difficulty the stars give you in online levels. ( sorry for my broken english )
My rating Stereo madness-easy Back on track-easy Polargiest-easy Dry out-normal Base after base-normal Cant let go-hard Jumper-hard Time machine-harder Cycles-harder Xstep-harder Clutterfunk-insane Theory of everthing-insane Elecroman adventures-harder Clubstep-demon Electrodynamix-insane Hexagon force-insane Blast processing-harder Theory of everything 2-demon Geometrical dominater-harder Deadlocked-demon Fingerdash-harder Dash-harder Explorers sneek peek-demon
What do even mean by "extreme"? We already call extreme demons extremes so it would be way too confusing. And it wouldn't work since we can't have 9,5 stars/moons. And there are 9 stars for a reason (borderline demons). Also, "normal" and "medium" aren't the same thing. Also it's way too late for Rob to change stars of official levels even if they're weird. Stats would be broken.
Your question of “what do you even mean by extreme?” Going onto say we already call extreme demons extreme seems like a loose argument Same logic could be saying insane gets confused with insane demon. Simply not a thing And if the ratings get reworked, of course theoretically. This would then push Robtop to give demon’s sub rating stars. Such as easy demons being 11, medium 12 etc. doesn’t have to be like that. Just an example And to say “stats would be broken” in terms of stars. They’re stars. Not a gun in a shooter, not a piece of armour. It’s a star, not impacting gameplay what so ever lmao.
My suggestion: 1-2 stars: easy 3-5 stars: normal 6-8 stars: hard 9-10 stars: harder 11-13 stars: insane make TOE, Fingerdash and Dash 11 stars, Clutterfunk 12, and Electrodynamics and Hexagon Force 13.
Honestly, I don't have an issue with the official level ratings since they don't affect much. You can just go "oh, that's off" and just play it. The issue begins with online levels, especially when it comes to platformers. Stella Infection is rated Insane Demon - but it shouldn't be anywhere near that. My friend beat it - and his hardest level is Clutterfunk. At the same time, Classical (by Iid4sh3riI, rated Insane) is comparable in difficulty to something like Jawbreaker (Hard Demon). Issues with official levels just don't stack up.
levels 1-5 should be normal levels 6-8 should be harder levels 9-12 should be insane electroman adventures should be harder clubstep and maybe electrodynamix should be easy demon electrodynamix and hexagon force should be insane TOE2 and Deadlocked should be easy or maybe even medium demons blast processing is definitely harder geometrical dominator may be better as an insane level dash and fingerdash should be 10 stars insane
I think rob should rework the difficulties, instead of having like 4 and 5 stars being hard, 6 and 7 being harder etc. Demons should also have different star rewards, since there are 5 difficulties
Personally, id drop x step down to harder, put jumper in hard, base after base in normal, and adjust the star counts so that the easier insanes give less stars than the hardest insanes so for example Dash, finger dash, and toe gives about 12 stars Electroman adventures gives 13 stars Clutterfunk, hexagon force, and electrodynamics give 14 stars And demons still give 15 stars Or as you said just make a new difficulty lol
@@viewing845no it’s not, I hate that level, and I’ve pretty much mastered it. The level is the test of skill. With portals every 8% you progress through the level

The insane levels are Mostly fine as is in my opinion. If I had to rank them from easiest to hardest, it would be like this: 8. Xstep 7. Theory of everything 6. Fingerdash 5. Electroman Adventures 4. Dash 3. Clutterfunk 2. Electrodynamix 1. Hexagon force I don’t think any of these need to be downgraded MAYBE except for xstep. I never saw why people thought electroman adventures needs to be downgraded. to me, it’s the test of skill level at the time, which is why there is so many form changes, and those form changes also make the level feel very fast paced. Along with the multiple mini parts, which change up physics along with making you go faster.
ok, rubrub should change these nonsense level difficulties as a 2023 player. @@overshivermountain You can't compare levels from 1.7 at latest to levels from today/the rating standards. Robtop has even said he regrets rating those levels as demons but since they're so popular, it's too late to change them now.
@@overshivermountain What the heck are you yapping about?
@@overshivermountain Magmatic Sanctuary is an 8 star lmao.
Gotta remember that if we look at online levels there are 2 types of insanes, the 8 stars and the 9 stars, the levels you would classify as extreme are just 9 stars and the ones that you classify insane are the 8 stars
literally this
electrodynamix should be a 13 stars.its not a demon but harder than other insanes, plus we will have a 13 star level
Problem is that new insanes are at the difficulty of robtop demons. Official level ratings are forever detached from online levels
@@SomeCowguyi would like to disagree with that, i think robtop demons are still somewhat harder
@@greenytoaster meh maybe a few choke points, but overall modern insanes make up for atleast 80% of that difficulty with pure unsightreadability
@@SomeCowguy i don't really take sight-readability into account
also since my hardest is bloodbath i might not be able to gauge the difficulty difference very well anymore
Listen at the end of the day it’s simply a level. So if a player has benefited from a level, or can see the positives it holds who am I to disagree?
Yeah, exactly... Just see the positives and it will be fine.
Well yeah and no, same could be said for looking at the negatives of a level. So it’s best if both worlds I guess
but all the demons would get easy demons then? which would be pretty much the same as now

_Hard_ was Polargeist.
4:18 You think RobTop made any of the music for his game?? Check the credits, it's Waterflame and other artists who created it.
Technically RobTop did make the music for The Challenge, as well as all the menu music
tbh rob should only upgrade level difficulty, not downgrade it
It's better to get more rewards on an easy level than it is to get less rewards on a hard level

Electroman adventures is harder than ToE and just a bit easier than clutterfunk
Bro forgot star ratings exists
I'm always wondering, "how the hell did Geometrical Dominator get the same rating as Jumper??"
I think that Rob should add a difficulty for each star. Also make it so medium demons give 11 stars, hard demons give 12 and so on.
Yes. Also another difficulty above Extreme Demon, maybe for levels at or above Bloodlust difficulty
2:12 "Eggstep"
I think the new rating should be called expert or something like that
@@nightgamingworld Yesss that would be amazing
Ain't no way Fingerdash is harder than Time Machine (and Cycles)
dash definitely deserves the insane category
I feel like hexagon force is EASIER than clutterfunk
the problem with this is that there arent many difficulty ratings and difficulty ratings are more varied than others. also with the cant let go vs base after base thing, if you take one look at a hard online level, you can see that at the time these levels were made, the hard rating works for both of them.
Yea hexagon force is a little hard for the dual parts and everything else is basically free
A new player won't have all that muscle memory until they play the level enough attempts through to be more attempts than other levels, I'd say Hexagon is 100% this new rating. It was actually the last official level I did besides demons
Just remember that back in 1.0, Base after Base was rated insane.
No it was rated harder
Dash is no way same difficulty as fingerdash
Dash and Fingerdash isnt that bad. Theyre both quite similar in terms of difficulty
What I’ve gathered from this comment is most levels I mentioned should stay the same rating besides electrodynamic and base after base lol
Im pretty sure RobTop said he would redo the entire rating system after 2.2 (im not sure if he meant that he will change the main level difficulties)
The fact that I find you both on tiktok AND youtube without searching you is insane
I think RobTop should've made either a Extreme or a Tough difficulty
extreme could've been a point between insane and demon with Elecrtodynamix and Hexagon force
While tough could've been between harder and insane with Fingerdash xstep Dash and elecro man pushing insane to well, the harder insanes currently
Although the current rating system is fine at most
Insane is already split into 2 semi difficulties, (8 stars and 9 stars) while they aren't really a thing in robtop levels, it shows that rob knew some levels of they same difficulty aren't exactly as hard as each other
With the exception of Clutterfunk, the official Insane levels are either 10 or 12 stars if that counts
I think the reason for the big difficulty gap for the insane levels are because of the fact that two insane ratings exist(8 star and 9 star).
The difference of difficulty between electrodynamix and dash is the same between online insane 8 stars and 9 stars.
Electrodynamics isn’t a 9 star, nor an easy demon. It needs to be something in between
@@GlitchByte404 Electrodynamix is not a easy demon at all. The problem is that most of recent easy demons are too easy, instead of being only isane 9 stars. Old insane 9 stars online levels from the version 1.7/1.8 were also much harder than recent 9 stars and recent easy demons. Just look at insane map packs and you will understand what I mean.
I beat Dash in a literal day, and the 3 robtop levels I’ve never beaten are the demons (insane is my peak) I should not be able to beat an insane in a day
I would add "Extreme" difficulty between Insane and Easy Demon and also "Tricky" between Harder and Insane
9 stars insane levels exist lol
Yeah... 9* Extreme just makes sense
Difficulties are not supposed to tell you the exact difficulty of the level, its supposed to give you a rough idea, for example decode and toe 2 are both easy demons, but decode is still noticeably harder.
Serponge only got the legendary only because he’s popular
“Bitworld odyssey” deserved it and nobody gives a crap!!
Yeah I’ve been seeing people get outraged over it in Twitter/x. I’m sure over time this will be forgiven as more levels get legendary status
They should change the stars rating on demon levels, like easy demon (10) medium demon (15) hard demon (20) insane demon (25) and extreme demon (30)
There’s a level rated insane 8 stars I can beat in 1 attempt over and over again but there’s a 6 star level I keep dying on. Robs rating system annoys me sometimes because it’s just not accurate.

I don't think TOE 2 should have the same rating as electrodynamix
TOE 2 has a lot more choke points for which we might get stuck...
The duration is also much greater in clutterfunk for mini
Correct me if you have any suggestions
I don’t understand how people think Clutterfunk should be demon, it’s really not that hard.

And they are all “Insane” because they really put the player’s skills to the test more so than Blast Processing or Cycles do.
bro made an 8.5 minute video out of "Level A is harder than Level B but they have the same rating???"
I feel like insane are almost always failed easy demons, so most of the time when it’s not demon difficulty it’s just easy end insane, so I think a difficulty should be before insane instead
When i played geometry dash for the first time, i heavily struggled on stereo madness. After i beat it, the rest of the levels were so easy, didnt have a problem with cant let go
My personal changes:
Base after Base -> Normal
Jumper -> Hard
X Step -> Harder
Electroman Adventures -> Harder
Electrodynamix -> Demon
Geometrical Dominator: Hard
Electrodynamix is not a demon. Get good at the game. Electroman adventures is not even near harder. Harder than clutterfunk once you’ve mastered both levels.
Personal Changes
Polargeist Normal -> Easy
Base After Base Hard -> Normal
Jumper Harder -> Normal
Time Machine Harder -> Hard
Xstep Insane -> Hard
Theory of Everything Insane -> Harder
Electroman Adventures Insane -> Harder
Hexagon Force Insane -> Harder
Blast Processing Harder -> Hard
Fingerdash Insane -> Harder
Dash Insane -> Harder
That ball section in hexagon force is a CHOKING POINT. Even if I try so hard, I can’t pass that section.
Only a minute in, and you've already struck a nerve with me... why is a level being "sight readable" a bad thing?
Electrodynamix is a contender for demon, but i think it should get a 13* insane instead since it's clearly way harder than other insane levels, but easy enough execution wise to not be a RobTop demon.
Xstep is fine on insane since with the introduction of blue pads that might disorient new players with how many times gravity gets switched. Also a good way to introduce new players what to expect on Insane levels.
Base after Base needs to be downgraded to normal, the level is simple enough for new players to get used to quickly.
I think clutterfunk is harder
for me the craziest one is jumper vs cant let go because in my opinion cant let go is harder than jumper

I personally think that the hardest robtop level [not including demons] is electrodynamix
Its so weird how i got recommended this with the thought that 4 of my 5 major projects got rated, and the one that got rated was complete rng (most of them on my channel)
Its so unfortunate that there are probably an infinite amount of passionate creators without the support they deserve who spill their heart and soul into creating and none of the VERY LEAST of them get to see the light of day.
This is a completely different topic i realise but its on the same chapter about the whole rating system generally speaking
"ooh i like this one" me proceeds to get an add about salad
Here is how I would change the ratings
Base after base: Hard --> normal
Jumper: Harder --> hard
Electrodynamix, hexagon force, and clutterfunk: insane --> extreme
cycles could maybe get upgraded I'm kinda 50/50 on that tho
Toe: insane rating
Invisible Toe: Hard 5 star
Community and Robtop level rankings aren’t the same
Compare the current Top 1 Level on featured list (8 Star insane) and Seasonal Haven in the Split gauntlet (also an 8 star) and you'll see what really makes no sense

I don't think there should be a new difficulty between insane and demon, there should be one between harder and insane and it would be the place for xStep and Fingerdash, possibly also Geometrical Dominator.
Here’s my take:
I think there are definitely flaws in the rating system of Geometry Dash.
AND THAT GOT ME THINKING: “Why not use Easy Demon as an official rating for the main 22 levels?”
*So here’s my list of what I’d personally rate each level:*

It wasn’t star rated though, right?
ok first of all, i'm gonna say that I disagree with some points made in this video.

Well that was fun. Again, these are how I view it and you can take it with a grain of salt.

If I could remake GD, it would have these difficulties:
- Safe Auto, 0xp 0orb: Auto where it's impossible to die.
"this is probably why you clicked the video"
I clicked the video because i thought it was about the rating system, not about the main level's rating.
I think blast prosseccing should be a hard level not harder. It is honestly pretty easy.
I would say that Fingerdash deserves Insane difficulty because of the last wave part and the new gamemode to the newbie player: Spider. The last wave part can be a run killer honestly while the rest of Fingerdash is probably Harder.
But the current system works well as a parallel to the demon system,
Easy demon = Easy
Medium demon = Normal
Hard demon = Hard
Insane demon = Harder
Extreme demon = Insane
I think the fact that Normal, Hard, Harder and Insane can give off different amounts of stars has always been weird to me. It feels like such a weird way to divide the ratings, yet changing it at this point wouldn't work either. However, I think changing the 9 star insane to it's own "extreme" rating works perfectly, as the difficulty difference between a 3 and 4 star isn't really that drastic, the difference between 8 and 9 star is very big, like 9 star quite literally is almost a demon level.
as a new player, all of the levels should be extreme demon
Insane difficulty is 8, 9 stars, harder is 6, 7. I think the stars should be the same as the actual difficulty the stars give you in online levels.

Your question of “what do you even mean by extreme?” Going onto say we already call extreme demons extreme seems like a loose argument
Same logic could be saying insane gets confused with insane demon. Simply not a thing
And if the ratings get reworked, of course theoretically. This would then push Robtop to give demon’s sub rating stars. Such as easy demons being 11, medium 12 etc. doesn’t have to be like that. Just an example
And to say “stats would be broken” in terms of stars. They’re stars. Not a gun in a shooter, not a piece of armour. It’s a star, not impacting gameplay what so ever lmao.
Normal and Medium are similar enough to know that theyre counterparts
My suggestion:
1-2 stars: easy
3-5 stars: normal
6-8 stars: hard
9-10 stars: harder
11-13 stars: insane
make TOE, Fingerdash and Dash 11 stars, Clutterfunk 12, and Electrodynamics and Hexagon Force 13.
logodomy got demoted from insane demon to hard demon then promoted to insane demon again
I completely agree. Very good video!
Issues with official levels just don't stack up.
levels 1-5 should be normal
levels 6-8 should be harder
levels 9-12 should be insane
electroman adventures should be harder
clubstep and maybe electrodynamix should be easy demon
electrodynamix and hexagon force should be insane
TOE2 and Deadlocked should be easy or maybe even medium demons
blast processing is definitely harder
geometrical dominator may be better as an insane level
dash and fingerdash should be 10 stars insane
I would like to know how many Stars extreme is supposed to give
Worst part of the rating system is that they rated Tidal Wave aka the top 1 demon a insane 💀💀💀
I think rob should rework the difficulties, instead of having like 4 and 5 stars being hard, 6 and 7 being harder etc. Demons should also have different star rewards, since there are 5 difficulties
Personally, id drop x step down to harder, put jumper in hard, base after base in normal, and adjust the star counts so that the easier insanes give less stars than the hardest insanes so for example
Dash, finger dash, and toe gives about 12 stars
Electroman adventures gives 13 stars
Clutterfunk, hexagon force, and electrodynamics give 14 stars
And demons still give 15 stars
Or as you said just make a new difficulty lol
i think toe is harder than dash and fingerdash
Electroman adventures should he harder
Finish toe 2 in 45 attempts but hasn't finished electrodynamics in 68 attempts and counting..... Toe 2 is so much easier in my opinion
@@vyrde.Did bruh do main levels after the golden or what
@@viewing845no it’s not, I hate that level, and I’ve pretty much mastered it. The level is the test of skill. With portals every 8% you progress through the level
How I think difficulties should be: (with extreme, why not?)
Easy: Stereo Madness and Back on Track
Normal: Polargaist, Dry Out and Base after Base
Hard: Can't let go and Jumper
Harder: Time Machine, Cycles, XStep and Blast Processing
Insane: Geometrical Dominator, Dash, Fingerdash, Electroman, ToE
Extreme: Cluterfunk, Hexagon Force and Electrodynamics
Demon: Clubstep, ToE2 and Deadlocked
The insane levels are Mostly fine as is in my opinion. If I had to rank them from easiest to hardest, it would be like this:
8. Xstep
7. Theory of everything
6. Fingerdash
5. Electroman Adventures
4. Dash
3. Clutterfunk
2. Electrodynamix
1. Hexagon force
I don’t think any of these need to be downgraded MAYBE except for xstep.
