Onyx has had one of the best 3 album runs in the history of Hip Hop. Like i said in an earlier comment, they rarely get mentioned among the greats. All 3 albums below were classics !!! 1. Bacdadufup 2. Last Dayz 3. Shut Em Down
DMX was the rapper of the year in '98... and he had stiff competition, too... Jay Z had that summer with "Hard Knock Life." Big Pun had the clubs on lock in the fall with "Still Not a Player"... Outkast dropped a classic in Aquemini... Black Star dropped their classic debut... Onyx was still rockin'... so was Flipmode Squad and Busta... the year ended with the Month of the Man (Redman and Method Man)... but DMX had 2 #1 albums and a bunch of amazing features.
