Toy Story 4 was the Toy Story movie I found the most compelling as well and I’m glad to see you give it a shout out. The fact that Woody gained purpose after Andy was beautiful. I saw the movie as paralleling mortality and/or having a child grow up and the parent needing to move on and continue to grow and it was so unique in that way. Woody giving Gabby Gabby the chance to have her own “Andy” by giving up his voicebox was so touching and the compassion extended towards Gabby was so sweet. I felt Stinky Pete and Lotso were missed opportunities for character exploration outside of just being purely used to be twist villains so I was so pleasantly surprised to see Gabby Gabby’s story be so important. I think that Lightyear was an alright movie. I wasn’t fond of some story beats, but it wasn’t a bad movie not at all but it was just a bit on the average side. I just don’t expect to rewatch it as often as I would my favs like Luca, Up, Brave, or Ratatouille. BUT I am glad to support it since I did love that they took big steps in showing a family with two women who had a beautiful and long, ideal life together full of happiness. It shows how far things have come in media cause when I was a teenager I distinctly recall feeling sad that most media with gay couples emphasized sad things happen like homophobic attacks or AIDS or were just tragedies. It was rare to even have the couple end up together and that was in the 2000s and early/mid 2010s! That’s actually great progress to get emphatically optimistic portrayals. I hope to see it shown with more male queer characters as well cause that’s a bit more rare for movies/series lately but I’ll take this as a win still. I just wish that audiences were being cool about it because it is literally something so tame and benign. During online discussion about the film I kept seeing people saying that “I shouldn’t have to explain to my kid why two women are married, kissing, and at one point one is with child” it’s nothing a kid will be uncomfortable with since they see heterosexual characters doing these things in many movies. If Hiccup and Astrid, for example, were shown doing those exact same things no one would bat an eye because it’s normal to show for a het couple. Why is it a difficult thing to explain to a kid? Also to answer your question. The Pixar character that means the most to me is Alberto but really all of the Underdog Trio in Luca, cause that movie meant so much to me. To me it is an LGBT coming of age movie that resonates with me and it’s my favorite Pixar movie.

I definitely enjoyed it but it was lazily written together and had an odd twist ( I won’t spoil ) that didn’t make sence in the slightest
