I’ve just used this tutorial to knit a scarf for someone and it’s fantastic, the end result is great considering a few months back I only knew how to knit a basic square ! Thank you!
I made a narrow version of this scarf and loved it. While knitting, it began curling. I finished it in hopes of correcting this by washing and blocking it. Sadly this didn't work and I had to unravel it. It had curled itself into a tube. 😞

Hi Merry, thank you for this tutorial! How do I prevent the sides from curling in? I can't get a straight scarf, it kind of rolls onto itself. Thank you!
Hi Isabelle , to avoid curling I added this border , in my scarf it does'nt curl but it creates a deep ridge right in the point of the side bordera bit annoying when you notice it but once wrapped around the neck it disappears
Nice pattern, however, I'm following and I get columns of the same pattern, no boxes... What am I missing? And I'm unable to open your blog to see the written instructions
Why is it that no one thinks to mention just how many balls of wool is necessary for the pattern? it would save us hours of trying to find the pattern etc!!! This is especially the case when the pattern is so great and tempting! it does not take long to give this information, surely.

Hi. Can you please write out the instructions? On your blog, there's a typo for row 13 (third repeat row) and the center of my scarf isn't creating a similar pattern at all. I get zigzags instead of those boxes.

Oh I am really sorry!!! So many have knitted this and so far I haven't heard such a thing! Curling sometimes is due to yarn quality or in needles size

Hello, wanted to ask if it'll make a difference if I just stitch the first loop on every row instead of doing it purl wise like you are doing here?
Yes of course you can knit it, it's the same, pattern asks to knit tge first st, just make it a bit tightly
