I saw the old video just now and then saw your link saying remake video. Funny thing is when she calls him out from behind the tree the second time i was waiting for her say "You again? you ain't learn yet?" 🤣😂🤣
Came here to compare vs the show. It's been a while since I've played and needed a refresher. SHOW SPOILERS BELOW I liked the backstory and character development that the show provided for David. I remember him putting out "The P*** Bear" vibe more in game than the show than I remember. Guess I was wrong. The show really did a great job of letting you know how sinister David actually was. I prefer the game setup more than the show, however. The game sorta builds almost a sense of trust for David before ripping the bandage off. The show feels a little rushed. They should've cut the show Ep 7 story by ~60% to allow some buildup for the story in Ep 8. Episode 7 was too much filler, Ep 8 needed more context and scene building (IMO). That's being a little nitpicky, though. To elaborate, the game almost makes you want to trust David, so when you ALMOST let your guard down, the twist hits even harder. You almost ACTUALLY FEEEL betrayed and surprised. The show kinda just has you feeling sus, your guard is up, then he drops his twist, big surprise (/s). The show makes you FEEEL that David is TOTALLY psychopathic. You get the feeling he'll smile to your face, say sweet things, say nice things, AND ACTUALLY MEANS IT. Then he'll stab you in the gut without hesitation. He's TRULY dangerous and f***ing scary. The show absolutely nails that. If these two elements were combined in the show, this episode would've been LEGENDARY. The key difference in almost any episode of the show vs the game: the game has you going through these story and experencing it through the MC's, where the show has you experiencing the story through mostly the characters the story involves. I prefer the game because the show feels like it haults the narrative to harshly to tell these stories. Besides that, and the obvious filler episodes, the show has been shockingly close to the game. Shot for shot, word for word, I'd say the show hits 60-70% of what happened in the game (cutscenes that is). VERY IMPRESSIVE IMO. I think it could be better, but it's still dang good.
This is just my opinion, but I personally LOVE the filler episodes. Don't get me wrong, the show got the main narrative absolutely on point, but there's something about seeing the backgrounds of these people (Bill and frank/ellie and riley) that adds a whole new depth to the world that the game and the show take place in. Not only do they help newcomers understand the characters' backstories and motivations that TLOU veterans already know, but they also show the many deep relationships that came about because of the apocalypse besides ellie's and joel's. Also, the filler episodes were just ASTOUNDINGLY executed (yall all know how much everyone loved episode three 😂). There's basically nothing major I'd do to change them. Idk, that's my take on it 🤷♀️. Everyone's entitled their own opinion! ^_^
im not ready for them to do this in the show. the main difference to me is how ellie in the game atp is slaughtering mfs left and right. like she's not helpless... but the show ellie is still so green to combat and shes still kinda more pure idk i can't stand to watch her be attacked by these dudes. especially how tommys wife warned her last ep. not to trust people... ahh i hope they don't change it so that she is victimized :(((
@@visualnic7568 I did it was just as hard to watch as I feared. Poor ellie. They even made it more intense because David literally reached down to unbutton but they don't show that in the game. Great episode but they missed out on the zombies moment again!!
In all fairness, David is lucky Ellie did him in cuz I shudder to think what would've happened if Joel got his hands on him 🤬😤...
Ellie killed him so what the fuck would be the difference?!

You’re right! Kinda a shame they didnt show us david’s "nice" side before saying sike, otherwise it was a good ep
@@kkrx171 probably the series show us ‘good david’ by telling us he is the preacher of the group
