I've watched a tonne of ur vids in quite a short space of time, and very impressed, you know your stuff. Even the electronic stuff, which many mechanics wouldn't have much of a clue about, you know what you're doing, and i'm an electronic/computer system engineer, so i can confirm that. Just one minor thing though, in this vid, it's good, and interesting to know the system works without that temp sensor to the battery, definitely handy to know you don't need it in cooler climates if ur in a rush to get system going, and you havent worked out exactly what u wanna do with that sensor wire. But in general i'd recommend everyone find a way to attach it eventually. You never know, you might do a trip you never thought you would, or car might get sold to someone who takes it north into the sun-baked lands, and sensor should be connected in those situations.

Can confirm you don't need the ignition wire! BTW, there is no Voltage Boost "fuse" for the 2018/19 Prado. Charging system is ECU controlled and there is no external voltage sensing wire.
So far it works fine.

is that a good idea with the charger fixed to the front what happens when you drive through water is it ok if it gets wet ? good work mate

Thanks for this comprehensive explanation. Did you end up using a battery tray or did you just mount the battery directly onto the factory battery body plate? In a previous vid you said you might put some rubber matting under the battery or you might go the expensive option?

In an earlier video he says that they don’t need one in the newer prado... that’s commercial carpet underneath the battery
Hi, good Video, will the projecta regulator bracket fit if you have a transmission cooler. I have one due to towing in hot weather?
Also, haven't seen many videos on fitting transmission coolers for 2018 Prado 150 but there are a lot of people towing with them.
