Sir, I wish to extend the Chajja. In this regard, I wish to clarify myself on the following points : 1) My house is a strong construction of 30 year old, at Mysore, Karnataka. 2) The house is built on 30*40 site. 3) There's a Chajja of 28 feet length and 2 feet width and this Chajja has been drawn from the lintel beam to the outside of the wall. 4) I wish to extend this Chajja by 3 feet of width towards compound, so that it becomes a Chajja of 28 feet length and 5 feet width. 5) To do this, I wish to erect 4 circular columns. Is it OK if I erect 4 columns of each column having 12mm TMT bars of 5 numbers? 6) What should be the size of beam? 7) Is it OK if I loop the old TMT bars of Chajja with new TMT bars of 10 mm as the old bars are of 10 mm by welding? 8) The thickness of the present 2 feet Chajja is 5 inches. 9) How should slab be designed for reinforcement?
Thank you for the presentation, can one model a box culvert or mini bridge in Sap2000. is there in one of your videos, a part which explains the procedures? thank you
Thanks for the making video.... I have doubt about extra top bars, you counted length L/3 from middle of the column but i saw so many cases where L/3 is taken from face of the column. Explain at you ease......
Sir/Madam, I want to extend my Chajja/Loft by 3ft towards the compound and I’ve put 3 columns with distance of 15 feet . The existing Chajja is of 2ft width and 25 ft length. The 3 columns are of 6″*6″ with a finishing of 9″. Is it OK if I go for a beam of 9″*9″ of 16 mm rods at the top and 12 mm rods at the bottom and how many rods I've to use?
Sir can you please make a video on how to prepare these beam reinforcement detail diagram and columns as well while you are using the unfinished tutorial project?
Respected Sir, I have few dauts here, 1. If beam rests on beam then there is need of continous support or end support. 2. If beam rests on mid column then only continous support is provided--> Is it correct??
