Thank you for the run through on the turntable’s physical properties, but it’s not much of a “review” without some comments on comparative sound quality (e.g when compared against the P10).
Interesting you talk about its looks and how the feet make it "appealing". I find the looks of it quite offputting all round. Would be very interested to hear how it sounds though.
I like well designed and built turntables. I know from decades of experience that both ridgidity AND build quality- mass are integral to what makes a great turntable. The Rega is marketing entirely on the the fact that it is ridged and as light weight as it can be to support all the functionality of the table. So they got it half right, costing them less than if the table was massive. However, they are charging a fee that suggests it's a massive well built table, which it is not. Aside from performance, I don't want to look at a table thinking it should cost way less than I spent. I would also be concerned about the use of foam as a plinth, regardless of what the company says. Wait 10 years after testing to prove out the longevity of that foam and that it will stay in tact regardless of changing room temps, before you try to sell me it. It's moot for me since I'm not in the financial demographic that Rega is clearly targeting.
Rega doesn't and never has marketed it's products, dealers can and do promote Rega products, magazines frequently awarded best buy status. I would also hazard a guess that you have never heard the Naia.
Diminishing returns are true for all audio equipment when you get above a certain point. That doesn’t mean that it’s not meaningful to spend more, it’s just that you get relatively less for the additional money spent.
I understand the need to make videos that sell a product. But very few people talk about the actual user experience. For example - there is no cover - the records will collect dust. How to avoid this?

One can but dream.
It;s a nice little turntable even the Naiad was cute. However I will not be changing my TT which is in another league to either of these!!!!
Upgrade 4 belts?

Rega, the masters of marketing. Diminishing returns are strong with this.

@@jerrypartington3650 Any video, demo or over view- is marketing, we all know this.
REGA YOU SHOULD COMPEAR TOTALLY NOT TO THORENS....
BUT TO REVOX ...
What a shame you insulted the great Roy Gandy by spelling his name wrong. Poor. Very poor.

The record is on the turntable for like 15 minutes. Dust is not an issue. Almost no high end turntables have dust covers
It has a cover
