Looks great and the mods are sensible and reliable, should have this for many years of fun touring and just doing stuff. Love the front bar, looks light but strong, hopefully you will never need it. Enjoy and keep the updates coming

Absolutely stunning. I love the stripes. I had them on my 61 and plan on putting them on our 70 series as well.

Yeah we have had a bit of a go with the head unit, still figuring everything out but Apple CarPlay is verrrrryyy nice to have
Bit fancy compared to the old Hilux mate. The stripes are the icing on the cake.
Did the difference of size in the aftermarket alternator pulley affect the fitment and tension of the serpentine belt?
I'd put Dana 60s with lockers front and back. And why didn't you take spare wheel bearings?

Looks good, will need to unlock a few more horses from V8 to get the best out of it. A tip for your rear bag is we cut the top of a plastic jerry and fit it in there, it keeps it clean and easy to lift out to empty. Not sure how big yours is but something to fit in there is the go.
Good tip we will look into that, also we already have a tune done…. Probably the best mod so far it’s a lot nicer to drive

It's coming along nicely. It's a shame you're no longer getting the roof conversion done by Project Overlander, as I was looking forward to what that looked like. At the moment, out of the ones commercially available, I like the Alu-Innovations the best. I like how the profile of the roof when closed, slopes slightly down at the front (following loosely the original roof profile).
It is a shame but glad we have an amazing option with Headspace campers if you like the profile of the Kronos you’ll love the headspace conversion, it looks amazing.
@@OverlandTravellers I've never heard of Headspace Campers before. And I've just checked their website now, and their Troopy roof top conversion does look good. Manufacturers of roof top conversion products for the Troopy should consider incorporating aluminium channels (ie. extrusions etc) that run along the sides (on both upper and lower sections) of the roof top conversion. That way you can mount accessories (ie. roof rack cross bars, awnings, en-suites, shovels, etc). like you can on RTTs.
@@fatmanoverlanding yep it’s fully Aussie made as well. They have the option for roof rails to be added :)
I've never heard of Headspace Campers before. But I've just checked their website and the product does look good. Though not much information and/or photos of the interior of RT conversion. I can't even see a single photo of the bed raised from the inside. They need more videos on the product, and how it works. Is it just like the Hercules or Kronos on how the bed operates? You guys should offer them your services on how they can improve their website and the marketing of their product.
Yep thats the plan mate I will be doing a full walkthrough and I will get plenty of great images for them on our trip soon!

How’s the head to unit now that you’ve used it for a couple months? I also have to have Apple CarPlay.
Going good, a little slow to connect to a phone but a big step up from OEM. He has a new one out with a better processor so should be faster :) Defiantly worth it

First mod I did was replace the alternator with a Terrain Tamer air cooled sealed unit............no power your going nowhere.Must do mod,much more important than the wheel track issue .
Yep its certainly something to consider if you're touring. I agree it is more important than the track correction
Do you really need 35" for your content style ?
They’re 315’s…. And nope absolutely not, in fact I’d tell most people shouldn’t get them for a troopy….. but I love the way they look so much I’d do it again. Besides that our main travel buddy adrian has the same size so we can share spares. Also a few people I know have the same size on their 70’s and they really rate them. But mainly I think they look good.
After Basic traveling in you Lux und 45 your 78 is absolutely over eqipped and will be too heavy.
