I'm more of an EK Archery / GoGun fan, but have to say I really do like how modular the Steambow stuff is and the M10 looks really nice. It's tempting. But so expensive.
I can tell you from experience that the AR6 Stinger II is far superior in accuracy and quality, but it is more expensive. The platform is also constantly being developed
Steambow, I am a huge fan of your excellent products and would like to congratulate you on the development of the M10 magazine and the stinger II platform. My wallet is struggling to keep up with all these products! I currently have a 55lb Compact, a 90lb Tactical with red dot and a 120lb Survival with a VictOptics 2-6 x 32 scope, they are all absolutely brilliant. Thank you and keep the product releases coming!
Very nice upgrade, certainly a major improvement over the old one. My budget can't keep up with upgrades so I'm gonna have to wait for a future full version that has everything included by default. One thing I think the video did touch on was how the arrow transfers from the magazine to the rail - is it through gravity or spring? Is rapid fire possible? Another question is if I've placed the magazine onto the weapon and then pull it out with arrows still in the magazine, then what happens to the arrow that was already transferred from the magazine to the rail? Is anything holding it in place if the magazine isn't there? One downside is that unlike the original, the magazine doesn't have a side window to see how full its loaded, so there isn't an easy way to know at a glance how much ammo is left in the mag... The rest of the features are excellent though!
I can almost certainly see the M10 being present on future lunar and Martian colony and research expeditions. A few for the security personnel and another couple in storage for others who know how to use them.
I hope by 2030, battery technology would have improved enough for the release of the version which uses electromagnetic propulsion, sending a steel bolt at adjustable power levels up to Mach 3 with a high capacity lithium or salt battery pack. The next step for ballistic weapon innovation would be railguns. Like bows, very difficult for antiweapon legislators to restrict due to ease of construction. No combustion, no pressure components.
Hoping you can also invent a 6 bolt magazine for those who want a minimalist design/same design as AR6. and this 6 round magazine that i am suggesting, will fit glock magazine pouch :)
Hello Gerald, I'm a user of the Stinger II platform. Have been tuning it with many Steambow extras. I have some questions about the M10. 1 - Can you unload the bolts out of magazine once you have it loaded? Let's say, you've got a broadhead bolt in by mistake, so you want to take it out before shooting the crossbow. 2 - how does the accuracy of the M10 compares to the standard Stinger II stackable magazine? 3 - Does jam occurs or can occur on this platform? Did jams happened during your tests for the final version of the product? 4 - Does the manual safety engages automatically when you cock the crossbow? If so, can you deactivate it if you opted for no safety? Regards from the UK
@axistec I would just love to hear guys from the UK like the Weapon Collector and MilitaryHistroy2011 say our RedBack/TomCat II can't compete. I got much respect for you mate.
Is it possible to buy AR 6 Stinger II with this upper already installed? Let me rephrase: I don't like the "old" upper much (the old magazine system), so I would just like to buy the M10 upper with the AR6 Stinger II lower...
Not a toy. My 35 lb limbs go up to the rubber vanes in my arrow targets. I have yet to install my 55 lb limbs. They are legal for hunting deer. Guys have killed boars with these. Plus the penetrate soft body armor well above bullets. If you use their carbon bodkin arrows they are deep penetration.
Absolutely not toys and yes, even the compact with 35lb limbs would be potentially fatal. Eric from fletched evolution tested all the limbs on a rack of ribs. I have a Stinger II Survival with 120lb limbs and a Tactical with the 90lb and they are great fun to use and extremely powerful.
@@Steven-jn2cw I bet. I'm only doing 55 lbs. Those stronger limbs scare the shit out of me. One German guy dry fired the 35 lb limbs with no breakage. This company said if a dry fire occurs it will break the plastic arrow tips instead of the bow. Not sure if that would occur with your higher lb limbs.

The AR-6 dismantled the RedBack/TomCat-2 and they're about to do the same to EK Archery's over-sized repeaters.
EK Archery's Vlad is not as good as the AR6. They malfunction under cold weather, jam often and lacks on accuracy.

Ok, nice, but what 's the reason for this? It 's neither a weapon, nor a toy.
Get one & try it then
30 joules with a sharp hunting broadhead in a rapid fire fashion sure is a weapon.
It is absolutely a weapon.
