Thank you very much Gary Moyers for giving into ministry over the years. Your voice still continues to minister. May the LORD bless and keep you. Keep serving and loving the LORD!!!
This quartet did well. Duane Adams is my favorite lead singer of all time. As it relates to this song, his voice I think is the best to lead it based on what they have in the group. Where ever these guys are, God continue to bless them and keep them strong- they are the heartbeat of Acappella. Blessing to Wayburn Dean the original lead for this song and George Prendagrass. Miss those guys in Acappella- good old days.
I got to see you guys at Odessa, Tx around 1990 - 91, the album, "We Have Seen His Glory" had just come out, so whenever that was. It was Gary, Duane, Wayburn, and George. My favorite line up!! So weird to see Duane not singing bass! I remember Wayburn saying, after the song, "That Could Have Been Me", that sometimes he'd just like to smack Duane for having such a tremendous range. So glad you're all still singing and you still sound awesome!!
@satisfied001 from the left to the right: Gary Moyers singing Lead, Duane Adams singing Baritone, Kevin Schaffer singing Tenor and Gary Evans singing Bass...
Lyrics: [CHORUS:] God is standing by So hush, don't you worry Don't cry God is standing by So hush, don't you worry Don't cry [CHORUS] And when troubles come Don't cry, no don't cry When all your dreams And would be fortunes pass you by And when there is heartache So many trials and life's unclear Just look up toward heaven There's a God and He's standing near [CHORUS] And when there is parting All your friends and loved ones leave you And you hurt so bad You feel you just don't know what to do And if you're wondering if there's anybody who Really cares Let me assure you, that there's a God And He'll be right there [CHORUS] (2x) So hush, don't you worry Don't cry Hush
Gary Evans...Bass, Duane Adams...Lead, Gary Moyers 2nd Tenor and Kevin Schaffer at the top...Tenor 1. Of course Duane Adams originally sang Bass in the 90's and Gary Moyers sang Tenor 1 back in the day. Interesting to hear this today.
I disagree...I actually prefer Duane's upper register. You should check him out on the albums Set Me Free, Hymns for All The World, Heroes of Faith, and All That I Need, and Beyond a Doubt. Back in the day he could really wail in the upper register without much effort. Also, this was a pretty poor recording where his mike wasn't up as loud as it should have been. He's just not one for the limelight, so he won't sing louder to disrupt the balance. He's that kind of guy.
they have some concerts,,they make differents concerts in differents churches,,they belong to the church of christ,,,most of them to the same congregation i go,,,

Duane Adams sang bass for Acappella for several years before doing some lead and tenor stuff. Quite a range on that guy!

[CHORUS:]
God is standing by
So hush, don't you worry
Don't cry
God is standing by
So hush, don't you worry

Don't cry, no don't cry

All your friends and loved ones leave you

You feel you just don't know what to do
And if you're wondering if there's anybody who
Really cares
Let me assure you, that there's a God
And He'll be right there

So hush, don't you worry

bom de mais hein
Why aren’t captions available? I am almost deaf!
Duane Adams microphone isn't that loud at the beginning but its great they sang well as well
Duane Adams sang Bass for Acappella on a few song before Gary Evens joined
they are not Seventh Day Adventist, because we love beautiful music and love Acapella, many believe that they are.
Surely it must be because the Adventist church is one of those that has that style to sing.
Bass was on point

I love these guys but who sings what here?
Not to sound dumb buty didn't Duane Adams sing bass for ACappella?
it's funny that the thin guy shreds the earth's core
they have some concerts,,they make differents concerts in differents churches,,they belong to the church of christ,,,most of them to the same congregation i go,,,
Why is there a video of breast feeding in the related vids list?!
2:46
This quartet belong to the Seventh-Day Adventist Church??????
I got some old videos where they are singing at the Seventh-Day Adventist Church...
who needs instruments when they sing this well?
I love that song, but I don't like how they sound here. The bass is fantastic.
