The advantage of a metrocard is you can use it on the buses and metro. If you buy a card at Albrook Terminal it also allows access to bus services to outside the city (to pay the small charge at turnstiles to access the buses) and even the toilets in the terminal!
Hi guys .....thank you for an awesome video that brought back so much memories of my first trip to Panama in July 2022. I loved the train rides to and from Albook, with stops at Santo Ttomas and Cinco de Mayo. I am seriously thinking of leaving the Caribbean and relocating to Panama city to live permanently. ❤
The 75 cent bus is more expensive cuz goes all the way from suburvian areas to the city using the private highways * to evoid regular traffic in the main roads * so if you take it in the city is not the best option but many people pay it when they are in a hurry or cuz comodity Love to see your videos navigating the city so well! Please come back and visit Chiriqui Highlands * my mother's province * it's heaven! 💚💟❤
Great video and nice point about being able to use a Visa card. You mentioned that transfers between buses are free as long as you do it within 45 minutes. Can I ask -- what about transfers between the metro and the bus and vice versa - are they free as well?
@@fire-and-ice Thanks. The cost seems cheap anyway so it would not be a big deal to pay to get on the bus after getting off the Metro. I'm hoping to go see the Panama Canal this way. Do the buses also take Visa too like the Metro?
Not with the metro card we got. I found some info for you at this link: www.lonelyplanet.com/articles/getting-around-panama-city-panama Have fun on your trip! Don't forget to get some awesome food at the Mercado De Marisco! And while you are on the Cinta Costera, visit the bao bun guy that has a huge line when he's open (all our favorite foods are in our videos)
We tried to do that while we were here in panama, but the line was still not completed and we had to take a taxi. We would've had to walk about a mile and a half with our luggage to meet up with the closest L2 stop. This was filmed in the end of February.

As far as we remember, they were two separate systems, and the buses were the cheapest way to go. Thank you for watching!

SUPER 👌
Can I use a credit card mastercard on this machine? Or USD
Yes you can! Thank you for watching!
Why You dont went to the airport And come back ..to Let visitor how it's ..👍...Great vid🇵🇦🌏
We wanted to do take the metro to and from the airport, but the line to Tocumen airport was still under construction while we were there in Panama.
It can take you all the way to the airport for just 80 cents per person.
We tried to do that while we were here in panama, but the line was still not completed and we had to take a taxi. We would've had to walk about a mile and a half with our luggage to meet up with the closest L2 stop. This was filmed in the end of February.
@@fire-and-ice Wow! You missed it by about two weeks.
I looked it up, and saw it opened on March 15th! How awesome that will be! It will also save people $25-30 on having to get a cab to the city!
@@fire-and-ice Oh, yes. I heard the airport cabbies are charging more reasonably now.
