Young Playwrights Programme 2023

Come behind the scenes of the Young Playwrights Programme 2023.
8 aspiring young playwrights were selected from across Munster to partake in a 5-month long writing mentorship. Working alongside acclaimed playwrights John McCarthy & Katie Holly, the participants honed their skills, tried new techniques and created 8 brand new short plays.
The plays were then presented on The Everyman stage in August to a live audience as rehearsed readings. Directed by Katrina Foley & Julie O'Leary with a troupe of professional actors; Úna Ni Bhriain, Lorcáin, Strain Fionula Linehan & Áine Ní Laoghaire.
The Young Playwrights Programme is run in partnership with The Everyman and supported by funding from the Arts Council, Cork City Arts Office & donations made to both organisations.
