Uhm what can I say other than Casey is a ‘brilliantly different’ human that has made the biggest impact in my life. My aim here is to inspire each and every person watching this video to ask themselves the same question. Its not about all the external affirmations and millions of likes, but rather being true to yourself and loving the person you are.

Thank you !! I asked myself the same question while I was watching because I felt bad for a couple of years now. I just did not know what kind of person I was and moreover I don't get good grades at uni which caused a loss of confidence. So I asked myself do I even like me ? The answer is YES. I like the way I am kind to the other people, the fact that I always want to share, I never look down to people, I motivate people in every hardship, I just wanna help. I realized that I was not feeling bad because of myself but because of the others. A lot of people are losing their sense of humanity, they judge, they tear people down. It explains why I was not feeling at the right place. The thing is that I am in the right place and I will always be "the change I want to see in the world".
I love myself.
Great to see two of my biggest inspirations working together. Every time I hear Casey talk it just makes me want to make more films!

The edit in the vid is beyond current, I see it as the next trend. I believe that in the 20....20's content creation will have a viewer expectation to be at this level. In traditional content I find my mind wanders and I click ahead in a video to catch up the video to my thought......In this content style my thoughts have to catch up to the video, I can't click ahead because the content is ahead of me.....I keep focused on the vid. Before I know it, 10 minutes flew by and I received the entire message. And , just to make sure I got it all, I watch it again. Awesome!

I think that's a big reason why Casey is so special. He's managed to be himself and not let the people around him stop him from doing so. It can be incredibly hard to do. Always thinking, what will 'they' think if I do this? Even for me, who feels like I'm pretty good at not caring too much, still thinks about what people think of me, FREQUENTLY. So yeah, Casey is very inspirational that way. Like putting his glasses on over his eye mask for a fun shot. Most people would never think of that because it's kind of weird, but Casey didn't give a sh*t and now that's just one more thing people love to see in his videos. Also, Dan, you're a legend. Been a sub for a long time and stoked so see this video getting so much attention. But how did your last video about the sound guy have less than 10k views (probably until yesterday)?! Always such amazing story telling and cinematography DanTheDirector! Stoked to see more regularly from you dude!

Super interesting question. Something that I've been gathering lately is that nobody wants to be themselves anymore. Nobody wants to be Clay Mahan. I think maybe its a side effect of having access to successful people like Casey's lives. It's a really dangerous path and it's something I try to constantly be mindful of. If more people would love who that they are, it would lead to a lot more success. When you are glad that your name is whatever it may be, you work for a better version of you rather than just wishing you were Casey Neistat. I guarantee that nobody but Casey wanted to be Casey Neistat when he was 17 with a kid on the way and was forced to drop out of highschool, but he DID SOMETHING, that's what makes his life desirable. So why not just do something? Great video.
