I’ll always be impressed by those little hacksaws, it’s amazing what they can get through. I found three when I tidied up my basement: it’s one of those items that somehow just show up or seem to have always been there. The wooden box needs no explanation: obviously a keeper. My plan is to eventually have all my stuff stored in found or self-made boxes like that - I don’t need everything to be immediately accessible: tinkering and fixing stuff is a hobby, so it doesn’t matter if it takes a minute to grab a sander or whatever. That’s why I would also pick up stuff like the closet lining all day long: 5 bucks for a bunch of dimensioned wooden boards? Yes, please. Tongue and groove are easy to remove if necessary. I’ve never quite understood people who stack empty boxes, crates or suitcases in their home just for “decoration” - but old decorative boxes with stuff in them, serving the purpose they were made for? Different story, that’s a yes from me. Just looked up Dunlap hand planes: apparently manufactured by Sargent, Millers Falls and Stanley and made from 1937 to 1956. All of this means that it’s probably not just a decent plane, but a very good one. A steal at $3, and quite easy to get back into shape despite all the rust. These planes are not easy to get hold of in mainland Europe, because they never really replaced the wooden hand planes we’ve been using over here. I’m really glad I could buy a few restored ones from the UK and build up a little collection before the Brits had the bright idea to leave the EU. I use them all, and they’re great. Corn pig? Hand carved? A dollar? No question at all, I would have picked up corn pig in a heartbeat. How could you not.
Hello My Friend, The little Hacksaw is going to work with me. It's just the right tool that I need. The needle that you use to inflate sports balls is one of those things that seem to disappear and reappear around my house. I like the idea of having things stored in boxes but in my shop It's easier for me to have things stored in either a drawer or cabinet and everything in it's own place. I don't go for the box and suitcase thing either.Just seems weird not to use them. We also don't keep things on our coffee table..other than well, coffee or other drinks. The cedar boards were an awesome find I needed some for a project a while back and paid through the nose for it! The Dunlap plane will be going to a friend and I'm sure he will be able to bring it back to a great user and will enjoy it. I will be sure to pass the information on to him. Thanks! Hand carved pig driving a corn cob for a dollar! I couldn't live with myself if I left him there! Until next time take care my friend.
What a great haul!!! Was that all at ONE flea market? If you look closely at the blade of your small hacksaw, you may find that the blade says "England" or "Japan". The Wright adjustable looks relatively modern, and may have retailed for big money! The Bernard pliers are the special pair for servicing or making round belts for old sewing machines.
The missus should be happy with that lovely small utility knife. The vice is amazing and will make the recipient a very happy person. I love “Burton” the pig. All that’s missing is “Freightliner” emblems on the side of the ear of corn. 😂 A great haul of tools there mate. Have a great week.
Hello My Brother. Burton is a great name for that little guy and I'm going to have to drop him off to my sis so she can put those on there. Seriously He's the best find..I can find tools and vises all day. The Missus loves the little knife and the vise will be heading to a deserving home. Take care and you HAVE to watch that DVD while the missus is on holiday! Take care and see you soon!
Another cracking tool Haul, I reckon the small hacksaw is an “ Eclipse” possibly , looks similar . Love the pliers with the hole punch, but that box is the star of the show, please restore it today 😂😂😂😂🇬🇧
Thanks Tony! I'll have to look and see if there's a name on the saw but It's going to work with me.I think it's gonna be a good user seems like a pretty solid tool. It's gonna be a while before i do the box.😂😂.But you should check out the one Austeration just did. It turned out amazing!
Thank You! He is one of the best finds I've brought home! Scout Crafter did a pine wood car challenge a few months ago and that was a fun shop project!
You did amazing man! Some stuff in there I was excited about for sure. Some highlights I liked were the Stanley square, the Wright adjustable and the Proto tool roll--you can't go wrong with that Reed vise--what a beaut. Some really cool finds and you got awesome deals.
Good one brother. You are on a roll! Okay, for favs, the Reed vise for sure for me, but the Proto tool roll is pretty sweet and hard to tell but the Wright adjustable looks like a good one. Keep 'em coming and thanks for sharing.
Thanks Fred! It was an awesome day at the market. I'm looking forward to doing that Reed. I might have to pick your brain for some information on it. That Wright is sweet and you can't go wrong with Proto. Take it easy Brother!
The piggy corn is cool, especially being hand carved.I wonder who the little vise is going to 😂...Love the wood box. Looking forward to that restoration 😉
Great haul there. That box reminds me of a Naval 'Ditty' Box from WW1. I have my Grandfathers one here - English, but similar size. Thanks for sharing your finds - all very interesting. Take care 🙂
Thank You. That's cool that you still have his box. I haven't looked into my box yet. But I think you've given me a good place to start. Thank you for sharing your time watching. I appreciate that.
Hello Dale! Honestly every time I look at that little pig it makes me smile so you can't go wrong with that! The box is cool and I'll get to it at some point. You know how it goes More projects than time but we keep bringing home more😁 See ya soon Brother.
Nice finds.. I like the vise too. $50.00 is not bad at all. And $4.00 for the chemicals.. not bad.. great haul dude.. and yeah the piggy would have came home w me lol..stay safe man!
CC!!! The vise was a decent deal especially since I think it's gonna be a keeper. The chemicals were probably one of the best deals that stuff is expensive. Piggy is cool😂 See ya later Buddy!
Thank You Michael. I'm already thinking the vise is going to be a keeper. I'm not sure when I'll get to it or the box.But @Austeration just did an awesome box restoration.
Hey there Mr. Bill! Thank You! You never know what you will find at the Flea Market and that's the fun of it. It's also amazing how the prices change from vendor to vendor. Like in an antique mall how the prices are so different from booth to booth. See you soon my friend.
@@Uwannawatch I agree. They are fun. I picked up a little wagon vise that’s my next project on a day off that isn’t too cold. Think it’ll take about 2ish hours (it’s smallish)
Damn nice haul George that wright crescent and easco set paid for it all easco is scarce to non existent around here I think in 2 years I’ve only found 2 sockets really nice finds thanks for sharing!
Hey Don, Wow I can't believe easco is that hard to find there. We seem to have a lot of it here. I don't think anyone in my area collects it. See ya soon Brother.
Another great haul. The corn and pig express is really cool. The box will be a good resto project. We sell that mini hacksaw in the plumbing section of the Hardware store where I work. Of course it's probably made in China☹ Nice video George!
Mike, Mike, Mike! Thanks Brother! I had to bring that little pig home. It'll be a while before I get to the box but if you wanna see a cool resto of one check out @Austeration he just did one. How much are those mini hacksaws running at your store? Catch up with ya later Buddy.
@@Uwannawatch Hey George thanks for telling me about that video. That was an excellent resto. That Hacksaw is Made in America by Superior Tools. We sell them for $8.00.Have a good one!
Thanks Brother. Do you know where I can get the replacement blades? Sorry to bother you when you're not at work. 😁 My little hardware store doesn't carry them.@@choppermike3329
Wow! You cleaned that flea market out! I dig the pig in the corn buggy!
Nah I left a couple of things there. Who doesn't dig a pig in a corn buggy? 😀

Is the pork chop express an old Pinewood Derby entrant?
No , It was a series of characters that attached to a locomotive. It was a kid's toy a local guy makes them.
That’s a Crash Axe.
Thank You so much for that! I knew it had a name.
