You should always have a flashlight on you. Your home should also have multiple flashlights spread around in every room. Cant count the number of times I had been stuck feeling my way around a complete pitch black room after a power outage. Learned my lesson years ago.
Ive had the smaller one for almost 2 years now. Last winter I dropped it in a slush puddle at 5am and couldn't find it and had to go in to work, came back out at 9am and I found it. Didn't hurt it a bit still works great
I left mine in my pants pocket and it went through the washer. Still works!
I lost mine on a busy road way 4 months ago during a bad storm. Found it 3 weeks ago up the road where I last had it. Immediately turned it on. It’s bronzed on the side that was apparently sunburnt. It’s been run over too. Not a thing wrong with it.
Just picked up the pen light myself. Wanted to see reviews on it and glad I got it now.
Great stuff! I too am a compulsive flashlight buyer, all types and styles. Funny thing is now that the bulbs last forever the switches are weak. We can’t win! 😂👍
If you want an even smaller EDC, the Nitecore tip SE is my perfect light! It's tiny, and with a slim rectangular body rather than a larger cylinder like most.
Rechargable (USB C), battery indicator, detachable clip, the power button remembers the last brightness setting you had it on but you can also go straight to 1 lumen or straight to it's highest setting (700 lumens).
I hate fumbling through all the brightness settings so being able to straight to the min and max brightness are requirements for me.

The one with the UV, how do you know when it's fully charged? I have each of these. Just bought the UV one and has been charging for three hours and no green light like the latter. Thanks

Never have luck with hf flash lights...at first they are ok but after a few uses shows signs of going down
I haven't used the one with the UV light much, but the round black one I use all the time. It seems to be a good one.

Those flash lights are poor quality..i have bought 2. If they fall, that's it
The smaller black one has been pretty reliable for me, I've dropped it a few times on the concrete and thought for sure it would die, but it always seems to keep working. The bigger one I haven't had long enough to know how it is going to hold up.
I've been using the bigger one at work and I drop it all the time, out of lifts too so high drops onto concrete and it's held up totally fine for months now
We are not normal lol.
