There are two sides to everything, good and bad. This is dialectics of materialism, a philosophical viewpoint that Chinese people have learned since childhood. You have to choose between the so-called personal privacy and the convenience of life, security and the development of various technologies. In the eyes of the Chinese, as long as you do not install a camera in the bedroom, then the Chinese will choose the latter, enabling the development of Chinese artificial intelligence technology, bringing convenience to the lives of the Chinese, and bringing extensive economic benefits, and in this way The only thing you need to do is trust the government not to misuse the data. No technology is completely secure. If you want personal privacy, you have to obey the law and don't do criminal things. Or deny the Internet.
In terms of privacy, Chinese people have different perceptions. For example, in public places, Chinese people think that there is no personal privacy. Your privacy is only in your home, as well as important personal information, such as bank accounts and passwords, and payments in mobile phones. Passwords, communication records, etc. belong to privacy. And what I don't understand is that the United States pays so much attention to personal privacy, but when entering the United States customs, the staff can search the contents of personal mobile phones at will, including the communication records between you and your friends. In China, such sensitive checks are not carried out on ordinary people. The police will only search your mobile phone if you are determined to be a criminal.

Be careful it's supposed to get to a 108 degrees in Chongqing Monday & Tuesday. It amazing that people will still eat hot pot in temperatures like that. Great work Alex,
108 degrees? The water can boil now, and the highest temperature in Chongqing will be between 40 and 45 degrees Celsius, which is just one or two months in summer. During that time, the electricity bills for air conditioning were quite outrageous, and other times were normal. It's a pity that Chongqing won't snow in winter
Outside of China: Oh no, everyone is monitored by the government! Doom to our privacy! Resident in China: Oh great! That's progress, convenient, and much safer now!
Governing a large population requires monitoring/control in some aspects of your constituents in order to avoid anarchy that would cause larger damage to the society. Alien ideas and principles that causes downfall of society have to be suppressed. Empires from the past had flourished for centuries without modern technologies but where are they now? Gone. What causes it? internal anarchy they could barely control.
Glad to see you are enjoying your smart life there in China, in Europe this winter people have to choose between food or heating while you can only wish politicians could do more for its people, I miss China soooo much, family friends, convenient life, food, high standard infrastructure etc. I will go home soon !

欢迎来中国!🎉
Very up scale modern city , full of wisdom.
Hats off and recognition due to the Chinese for all of their innovations! In a mega city of this size, they’ve put smart technology at their fingertips, allowing it’s residents to live and move about unlike any other large metropolitan city in the world. At home here, I thought paying a vendor with Apple Pay, or obtaining a candy bar out of a vending machine using my phone was the greatest. Boy was I wrong! The world has some major catching up to do on it’s hands! I welcome smart technology and look forward to all of the possible changes that one day will be realized. Fantastic job here Alex! Nice you see you out and about in the city! It’s been a long time waiting! 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
Thank you Randy, this week we will also film another Vlog about the heat wave. I really appreciate the support you show our channel. Kindest Regards
I agree!
truly amazing propaganda!
Wow fancy elegant futuristic that's Planet China US frequently dream on !
You can stay in the cave.
@@Dhsu4321 Chinese people can now enjoy the convenience brought by modern technology, who are we still living in caves?
@@jzeng2022 I might have responded to another person’s post. I couldn’t see it here anymore, so that might’ve been removed.
很简单的事儿,中国政府在中国有极高的声誉并且是家长式的信任,这种情况下,只要你自己没有犯罪,为什么担心这些呢?
Professor David Brady is a great man. It is the Skynet system he studies combined with the smart AI city that makes the city's management orderly

Very nice video. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you, Alex for another amazing videos. Saw you on NewChinaTV on how artificial intelligence makes China live smarter.

China is a market economy
@@jrwkd6114 a Mixed economy like some Western European countries such as France, Italy, Germany, Sweden and Norway.
Neighboring Asian countries like India, Pakistan, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia and Thailand also have this kind of economic set-up

Thanks for making the video in such a heat Alex.
CHINA is BEAUTIFUL LOVE CHINA
Great video!!! Gives many insights into how people live there!!! Hi from Mexico
Good information, Alex! As long as you allow this Mike Fellbach character here, he will always end up in the pinned hall of shame. He is a complete jerk, he will never stay on the topic of the video. Thanks for the great information here, and keep your subjects coming because we normal folks will always welcome this kind of sharing. Cheers to you, Alex!! 👍😊
Great to see you watch the premiere my friend
I'm from England.
Wish our government shop dicking around and debating. Start cleaning up the cities, control the inflation, prevent strikes and help poverty, homelessness and laziness.
amazing production once again , Alex ... Would really love to visit Chong Qing some day !
Thanks for doing this video Alex.
Amazing China.
恭喜重庆上半年的GDP超过了广州,虽然在体量上这是必然趋势,但也望广州继续努力~
wow do you have a link for that story ?

@@Reporterfy In fact, Chongqing is more like a province than a city. It is unfair to compare the size of a province with a city. I am a native of Chongqing, and I am not very excited about it. There is still a lot to be done in Chongqing.
The integration of Smart Technology is certainly an important aspect in making a Smart City in order for it to have effective logistical control of its many moving pieces. Thank you for a great video Alex!
Hey Ken I didn't see this comment until today. I'm happy you are watching the videos. This weekend we are covering the heat wave. Should be exciting and fun. Lets hope this cools down and borders open soon so we can meet each other.
@@Reporterfy I am looking forward to that myself. 🙂
sorry Alex had to work when this video premiered having to watch 9 hours later. just wish my local area in the uk had half of these systems but we are so far behind China will take about 30 years to get to where China is know. great work as always
Nice to see you here trevor
UK politicians are busy debating ...
That's progress, convenient, and much safer now!
the chinese govt is constantly surveying to learn peoples needs. responds quickly. sort of like usa. lol
Lol
Governing a large population requires monitoring/control in some aspects of your constituents in order to avoid anarchy that would cause larger damage to the society. Alien ideas and principles that causes downfall of society have to be suppressed. Empires from the past had flourished for centuries without modern technologies but where are they now? Gone. What causes it? internal anarchy they could barely control.
What à country to live in man. Thank you Alex
China
Thanks for Sharing this important information. Very enlightening!
Glad to see you are enjoying your smart life there in China, in Europe this winter people have to choose between food or heating while you can only wish politicians could do more for its people, I miss China soooo much, family friends, convenient life, food, high standard infrastructure etc. I will go home soon !
