I have MIXED results. You can hang the lip out of the top. Some mugs work and some brands do not. It is so hit or miss that I haven't made a video!

I never made mugs before, but what happened if you let it completely cool, and then peel the paper off?

If you ket it cool, the paper starts to stick and you have to scrub under water to get it off.
It's unfortunate that crafters don't know it's supposed to be peeled immediately. If there are instructions from a manufacturer, it always says remove paper right after pressing.

You can let them cool. Ceramic and metal seem to be fine. However, glass can stick. I will say if you let them cool you do run the risk of over sublimating as the heat can still be sublimating for a while with these.

Can I print an image from google or a personal picture? Or do I need to get a “sublimation image”

I have sublimating using personal pictures. Make sure your pictures have high resolutions so the colors pop on your mug.

You can use any image that is high quality but you do need to print with sublimation ink onto sublimation paper with a sublimation printer.
