I miss the old kb that used to rap with emotion and hunger. He peaked in 97.
Like Bizzy, he's a great rhymer still but where's the inspiration and passion that he showed in "low down" and other tracks.
These are sleepy time songs. Nowadays when he wants to "turn it up," he just raps fast, but the speed isn't what made him sound great in the old songs. It was his energy.
