I remember back in the days when I was still living in China...it was almost 5 years ago. Among Chinese Nerf hobbyists, Worker was almost a go-to brand. They did not come up with the concept of "short darts" first (instead, it was another guy on Chinese Nerf Baidu forum). However, Worker commercialized the "short dart" conversion kit for Retaliator first. I purchased the short dart conversion kit from the guy who claimed to be the original "inventor" of the mechanism (the guy on the forum), and it did not work very well (can easily get jammed, fail to actually shoot out the dart many times). Seeing COOP having trouble shooting the Worker short dart Retaliator relieves me since even the "top quality" Worker could not get it working properly. The upgrade cost for that Retaliator, adding onto all the cosmetic stuff, was approaching 1000RMB (around $150). I would say it was just younger me trying to be tacticool because even if some of them claimed to enhance your performance, like the short dart conversion kit, not all of them performed better than the OEM Nerf blasters. 80% of them was just a big waste of money. If I am getting into this hobby again today, I would avoid these conversion kits at all costs and go full flywheel supremacy LOL

As a Postapocalyptic Larper the Worker L-96 bolt action is very interesting. A fantastic idea and looks great. Obviously to be practical it would need some work, but as a base? After cutting down the fake barrel to be a lot shorter (scout rifle style), removing and adding a few parts and painting it, it would look and also work absolutely fantastic. Especially with that stefan kit.
Love seeing these things, reminds me of the modding lifestyle you had back when you had like 70k subs :)

I guess if that’s what your aiming for, or what they move into by accident. Honestly tho when ur in a nerf war thingy you aim for the chest for the best chance of a hit. But I feel if your really going for true accuracy, their close-medium range stuff is normally good enough. Long range with nerf, being like a 75 foot super accurate hit would hit wayyyy too hard at point blank. If they made special softer darts maybe it would be okay but the eyes, they already say never aim at eyes or face or to wear eye protection which I would do if doing a nerf war, a pair of sunglasses or safety glasses is not that much of a hassle. The eyes could already be damaged if hit with something like a rival round, and I think that’s kinda the limit for hard-hitting nerf guns. I remember being with the boys and one got one of the early rival blasters and compared to the elites it hit a bit too hard. especially up close.
@@thesabre8458 actually if the guy shoots but someone suddenly move it can happen, it has happened to me and it was a normal nerf, yet it really isn't is cool. From my personal experience when it shot my for whatever reason i started getting dizzy and my vision was all weird and shit. Maybe that doesn't happen to everyone, honestly i have no idea but it sure hurts

Here's how snipers could work for nerf: since bullets use the explosion and gases produced, they gain speed going down the barrel. If someone used an air tank (inside the stock), then the nerf dart would gain speed as it traveled down the barrel.
or they can just use a stronger spring which is much less complicated and most likely cheaper

I have only ever done a couple of mods. I have one retaliator pump kit and about to attempt my first stryfe mod in the next couple of weeks once the parts I have ordered arrived (first full rewire and motor replacement )

Hey coop, i recently got a blaster thats been on my wishlist for a while, the stryfe. I ran my own tests and fired it without a barrel extention, and with one. And i learnd something. The berrals actually do inprove acurisy! (Sorry for spelling, im only 11!) I would asume longer barrels would hurt it, all of the friction, so i just attatched the long - ranged barrel directly to the blaster. I would like you to test this out on other blasters and see for yourself it works, and to show noobies what to buy an expect. Not to suck up, but love your vids!

Worker should make a Barrett M82 kit for the Mega Centurion, that would look so much more like a Barrett than the one Coop had
You could always add in a ridiculous brass barrel and a crazy spring load and try and get the retaliator up to some balls to the walls crazy numbers. the barrel would be a cool way to hide the rather unsightly brass. and for the stryfe, a pair of high crush flywheels and some lipo power, plus a brass barrel would ax the barrel drag and make the kits functional shells for the mods.

The extended barrels help with keeping the dart straight and reduce fishtail so there is a point to put them there.

The Stryfe version looks like a Destiny sniper
One suggestion, you said that the scope that came with the L96 kit and the Barret 50cal kit wasn't transferable to the Stryfe but out of darts and I think worker sells picatinny rails that slide on to their blank rails that are on the swordfish and the KRISS vector kit. so you could totally buy a swordfish and a rail and use that scope, or you could grind down the Stryfe rail if you don't want to buy an entirely new shell. now that would make the access door unusable but I removed the switch for mine and put LEDs in it and it only jammed once, but i just stuck my hand in the mag well and cleared it out that way.

The retaliator was my first ever nerf gun. It was kind of a color swap, so it was white. It got lost in the process of moving to another town
One thing to point out: Coop says that the Barrett .50 is a side-primed firearm, but it’s actually not. It’s a semi-automatic sniper rifle, and the breach on the side is just to clear jams.

I prefer the Kronos myself. Mainly because it's a Rival blaster there are a lot of mods for it.
