Im a muslim woman and i have always wanted to be a runway model or be a model someday i have searched so many times if muslim women are allowed to do modeling and some says its okay other says it’s haram and tbh I really don’t know what to do anymore if i still should follow this dream of mine like doing modeling someday because of what my religion’s beliefs and etc. but i know for sure that im really passionate of doing modeling someday and at the same time forever having my faith to Allah and to my religion so if someone is reading this rn especially if you are a muslimah please share some of your knowledge,opinions and advice it would really help someone and I really need it thank you and Salam
i think allah would guide you to what he believes is good for you, either way Allah wants you to do what you want to do

Same for me but I really know that allah would guide me for the best for me and I think if we wear outfits that allah accepts well it's halal for me so yeah keep going and do whatever u want just keep practicing well ur religion

I do not wear hijab because a man told me to.
I wear a hijab because I want to represent and I want to show that I am Muslim and that I am not afraid about showing society.
So for those of you saying that the hijab is oppressed, you have been misinformed.
Some muslims CHOOSE to wear it and other, don't. That's absolutely fine and it's not harming anybody.
If you really believe in equality, remember, you would support people's choices and not put them down for something so silly like a scarf that covers the head.

Nice Segment but I stopped wearing hijab recently . Now I choose to wear it when I want as i believe it should be a choice and not force. Also I dont think its good for their hair to wear it all the time . Islam is whats in the heart not what you wear .

I'm not a fan of modeling. I have done it. And it was a very uncomfortable feeling. But not as uncomfortable as the feeling of realising your pictures are always there for people to enjoy. I'm not wanting to be reduced to an object and that's exactly how I felt. Like a useless ornament to be stared at. I never modeled again.
Dont get me wrong the company was very nice and the pictures looked AMAZING. but they are online for everyone to see.
I mean that’s the whole point of modeling, to be seen and to promote designers clothing which they would want people to see. You probably should have asked yourself and thought about if it was for you or not.

@@abdulkarimbah3468 its not, im a niqabi and model. as long as youre doing it within the proper hijab then its fine, some argue its fitnah and color is 'haram' but there are numerous hadiths mentioning the prophet [saw] wives wore pink jilbabs and colorful clothing. Again aslong as you follow the proper hijab youre fine, dont wear anything tooo expensive for fame or vanity but minimal.

If the hijab is about modesty then certainly make-up and fashion is about vanity. It is like they are saying i'm wearing the hijab so men won't lust after me but I'm also wearing make-up and high fashion so so my beauty will be noticed. This is typical female logic though in every culture.
