The tunnel is a symbol of tolerance of course. During Eid, a lot of prayers come to the mosque, and the cathedral open their parking lot space for the Moslems. And vice versa, during Christmas, the mosque open their parking space for the Christians. So they can use the tunnel instead of having to cross the busy road above.

The National Library (Perpustakaan Nasional) is open to the public free of charge, you just need to register on the spot.
Yes i did read he was a Christian. Regardless architects love designing any building and there are many examples of non Muslim architects designing Mosques in the world. Mr Silaban was an exceptional architect. I love his work…especially the Mosque 👏🏼
I like Jakarta for action, I like Bandung for cafe and food, I like Semarang for old town Kota Lama and I like Jogja for friendliness. If I live in Indonesia I think I would live in Bandung ☺️🙏🏽

The cathedral church is not being built it is being renovated maybe, it is already built since 1901 by the Dutch
