Yes, there is an older mechanical bell on the top of the cantilever. It doesn't work, as you may have noticed. The General Signals Type 2 electronic bell mounted on the gate mechanism pole is what you hear.
No, the signals on the middle tracks didn't activate. They only activate if the train is on one of those tracks. The Cantilevers flash and Gates go down no matter what track the train is on.
That was the West Side Gate right in front of him though that did that, kinda similar to the way the West Side Gate did that at Oak St. before the Gate Mechanism was changed there on the Later Years to the Safetran Gate Mechanism while the East Side kept the Wabco Gate Mechanism.
I want to move to Wyandotte I used to go there alot with my dad. The Grind is awsome

Contact cleaner. It wasn't the motor itself that caught on fire, but a wire that was hot from the pumping action of the gate.
Is it me, or was there an older mechanical bell on the top of that cantilever?
Nice job. I live in dearborn.
Yep, they are both still open. :)
Me too 6th and North Drive. I was hatched @ Wyandotte Gen...The old one in the back in 1959....
Ford Ave is .8 Miles from Oak St. and about.55 miles away from Vinewood
Signals started 30 seconds before the train got to the crossing.
Oh man that’s a nice K3L :D
2:03 - 2:10 at first the gates were coming down then they stop then continue going down
