- Tennessee and Tennessee Tech played a midweek game in the 2022 College Baseball Season.

One of my favorite accomplishments is revolutionizing the way sports channels create thumbnails. I started making them with team logos on the left, and a game snapshot on the right, and I’ve gotten almost all of my video views with that style.
I have a combined 4 years of experience as a Baseball & Basketball Play by Play announcer, which is where I learned my skills for commentary/breakdowns.

Wow. That’s the thing about being the best; you get every team’s Herculean effort. If it’s a bad team it’s even worse because the best barely get out of it bed for it and have no motivation, while the for the small fry it’s the game of their lives. This was the perfect example of a trap game. Tech played an outstanding game and should be proud of themselves.
These “small fries” have players that were committed to play for Mississippi state as freshmen that were recruited by UT Ole Miss Kentucky and the like. He took a 102 mph fastball 445 to center… kid gets hurt and dropped and is forgotten about….

The indestructible squad who collected four straight three-game sweeps against teams from the best conference in the nation, ends up having their incredible winning streak snapped by a team who is 2-4 in Ohio Valley Conference play? That’s baseball in a nutshell. This grand game is oftentimes full of new surprises.

Ive said it all along I know they are 31 -2 but Vols are on a lucky run they are overrated ..Maybe it was the wooden bats that they were using the wooden bats that Jordan beck for Tennessee said a couple weeks ago this team is aggressive it wouldnt matter if we were using wooden bats out there the results would be the same.. ouch!! That one came back to haunt them now the season is gone vols curse starts now but it was fun while it lasted

Look at their stats, look at the records they are setting, look at how dominant they have been, 31-2 with the best start to a season in the entire SEC history is not a "lucky run" it's VERY fucking far from it, college and professional sports are far too competitive these days, it doesn't matter how good a team is they are going to lose a couple games (at least), just because they lose a game in somewhat rough fashion doesn't mean they are over- rated, anytime Alabama loses a football game or 2 you don't see people screaming about them being over rated now do you?, and you are aware college athletes are just as capable of using a wooden bat as they are aluminum right? Claiming the Vols season is "gone" over 2 losses is completely insane bro.

Great thing about baseball is that it’s a series game, every team will have a off night that’s why no one has undefeated records, but you gotta win the series to show your legit, winning by one run and using wood bats.. I’m not convinced..

What I’m trying to say is the games that matter are played in a series, I know the cws is weird but you still have to loose twice to be knocked out, but every team has off nights in baseball that’s just the game.. you have to win the series, best out of 3, (if there is a series) to convince me that this game wasn’t just a fluke or an off night for Tennessee.. that’s what I’m trying to say, I don’t think they are a good enough team to beat Tennessee more than once.
As a UT fan I am happy we lost this game. The odds were stacked against us to keep winning and I felt like I'd rather lose a wood bat exhibition game than an SEC series game. And it wasn't very suprising that they hit Ben Joyce. Yes, 104 is fast and hard to hit, but if you know a 4 seam is coming it isn't hard for any college player to time and hit no matter how fast it is. He needs to work on some offseed and location because 104 only gets you so far in baseball.

It's baseball, it happens. Get a hot pitcher or have your bars for cold - you can get beat any given night. Would've preferred to drop one to an SEC team of note, but, again, that's baseball.

In case you didn’t know Tennessee is top ten in walks (4th) batting average (6th) doubles (2nd) ERA (1st with 1.89) HRs (1st with 79) OBP (1st with .439) Runs (3) Scoring (2) shutouts (tied 1 with 6) SLG pct (1 with .648) triples (8) whip(1 with .86)

A one off game, like this one, isn't taking care of things. One game can go either way, it's not a big deal. Hope we get a chance to play Texas again in a series.

These kids play in the best summer leagues around the country that require you to use wood. I promise you they had no problem using wood. They simply just lost not a big deal.
