  • In the past we've tried to make a box fly and failed miserably. At Joe Nall this year we ran into a father-son duo who hit the nail on the head!

      he was tired, probably shy, probably doesnt express his emotions like low-IQ people do. 6 seconds later when josh said to let it get in the air he smiled. way better than people who smile all the time..

      @ferrumignis 5 років тому +1

      bepowerification Actually it looks like he wanted to kill Josh when he slapped him on the back. I don't think I have ever seen such a sulky face. Interesting that you feel IQ and the ability to express emotion are mutually exclusive, do you know the guy personally or was that just projection?

      I know Josh is always so nice and so polite and he was trying to speak with that kid but he looked like he had an attitude. Maybe because its a phase he is going through as a kid. The long hair weird hat. I feel like he is spoiled and his dad didn't even talk to him about how he was being mean to Josh.

      ***** If you can do it your glider can stay up as long as the sun is out on some days and at the slope you could technically fly 24/7 until your rx battery dies

      Come on guys, be nice about it. You don't know about him, or really who he is, so don't judge. He might just have been camera shy. The thing that we should focus on with this episode is the creativity and the family aspect- that the dad and his son spent so much time together to make this work. It's not fair to judge when you know so little. Please be respectful...

    • @mrpeter81

      Well, sometimes is just better to be honest than nice..
      We dont know him, but he accepted to be in a video on youtube, and that makes him a official person, and when when someone is that, you should be able to take critics. just my two cents.

  • @recommit

    What's with all the thumbs down?
    Sure they might be boring as hell, but it's the experience and memories that kid is getting building these things with his dad that will live on long after his dad passes. Maybe that kid might even pay it forward with his own some day, instead of sitting in front of video games.
    A little more positive spirit people!

Im sure he is just a kid being a kid. Though it may not look it that kid probably designed most of the project. Way to go kid and dad the memories the 2 made on that project will probably last a lifetime you never know a kid i grew up with was a uber odd ball geek kid today he designs wierd airplanes for nasa and other companies all concept planes as he calls it top secret stuff all from a kid who did not fit in .

    If this is meant to be a promo video. I do have one small suggestion which I feel is important. You may not but I do. There needed to be video either on site or video updloaded from earlier flights of some night flying. I see the lanterns at all sorts of festivals and parties and I can only imagine one of these flying around at night with LEDs would be amazing.

    I think I recall Chad's original premise was to keep everything entirely inside the box. These looked like the motor, prop and at least part of the tail fins were sticking outside the box.

    I'm not 100% sure on this bit though but i keep seeing HH when i think of the RC kite, maybe HH brought them out or at least sold them, again this was a good few years back and they didn't fly this good.
    Just thought i'd put that out there.

    i hope there's a way of including a cheap controller with these when they're released. i can see these making good budget aircrafts when they're released but from a consumer perspective adding a controller that's more than £100 (approximately more than $156) to the package seems a little extreme.
