CAN'T SLOW DOWN Shirts Here! www.cantslowdow...
I can not stress how much I love seeing this dude on the channel. Stoked and hope he comes back
Thank you both!
He needs an invite to the next B.I.K.E. tournament for sure !
😊hey shot out great video. Came across it by accident. I am I guess u would call old school rider. I wish I could still do the tricks he pulled on the video. Unfortunately the ground seems further away. And it takes a lot longer for me to heal now days. Love it wouldn't mind seeing more . I'm catching up on your vids as well as subscribing
Absolutely. Not sure of his age, but based on how he talks, we started around the same time in the 80s. I messaged him through IG with a bike question, and he was super cool. This channel is definitely motivating me to get back on a bike at age 55, though it will be all old school tricks lol. Love how the guys fully appreciate the old school riders and tricks too.
Awesome I'll be 50 something as well this year... Love BMX. ( Flatland.)
Theres not much in today's BMX that'll make my jaw drop like this. Fish you are a legend on wheels!
Any rider from the 80s was pulling these tricks - the fact he’s doing it almost 40 years later is kick ass!
@azeraxosu3051 I appreciate that so much!
@@steveleamontHopefully I'll still be going 40 years from now.
I'M 54 SO I REMEMBER GOING TO FLATLAND SHOWS AS A KID AND WAS MESMERIZED! 30 YRS LATER IT'S STILL PRETTY AMAZING TO SEE!
Fish absolutely killed it.
Please keep Fish close to this channel.... this is amazing
Scott I am so happy you have turned this channel into EVERYTHING BMX and keep adding in different eras of bike riding showing all the ways you can play on your bike!
See lightning strike when you see Fish on a bike! I'll never forget that Bill Nye episode. He's a Seattle legend. Good to see you're still rolling Fish.
theres nothing like Fish on a bike
That was actually tim Noah not Bill Nye
That lil kid just say "do not try that at home" 😂😂😂 8:57
Love it! This reminds me of 80-90's. What a time to be a kid...
Fish is phenomenal!
I LOVE THIS GUY! Oldschool flatland forever!!
FISH! FISH! FISH! Scotty you are doing AMAZING things on this channel. From the looks of it, Fish inspired a little kid in the park to try his own trick 😆! This is what BMX is all about!!
Im 54 and rode for years and years but haven't in about 20 years but its settled , im getting another bike. Thanks for the inspiration.
It's awesome to see an "old dude" hold onto his passion for something like this. Makes me want to dust off my skateboard and get out there. Well done Fish keep it up!
Bringing back memories. I used to have a Haro freestyler, a Hutch Trickstar, a Quadangle, a Redline Rl-22, a Gt-Pro performer, and a PK ripper. I loved all my bikes and could only do half of what that dude did. The 80s Rocked!!
This guy is my age and he is pulling those tricks like hes 18. Bravo!
Greetings and much respect from the netherlands
I'm 48 and echo this sentiment 💯
Awesome seeing these old school flatland tricks and Fish did an amazing job! I notice older guys get back to flatland lately. glad to say I'm one of them. keep doing these king of video's. kudos Scotty and Fish!
This was awesome! Incredibly technical tricks performed by a pro. I was in awe seeing guys do this stuff in the 1980’s and am still blown away today.
Scott I love how you're showing riders of all styles ride, not just new school riders.
I believe that the No Handed Hang Five thing is called The Fly. I remember a photo of it in an old magazine and that's what they called it. Loving the Flatland content Scotty. Fish is the man. Plywood Hoods forever!
As a kid
The flatland guys would blow my mind
The control they had with a BMX was crazy
Fish just showed us all why old school will always live to be old school cool, that was totally awesome and I realise I have no skills whatsoever but I will not stop riding. 😎 👍 Thanks Scotty for having Fish on the channel and thanks Fish for being so awesome!
You're welcome!
So funny that Mid-school is now old school. Us old guys gotta hold it down! Got two years to hit the 60+ Freestylers club! Fish is still rad as F - I remember him from the mid 90's when he was on Redline.
Dude thank you so much. Variety in your channel is much appreciated. I’d like to ask for a big bowl riding session. Please! Thank you.
duuuuuude ...i am watching this video for the third time in a row now and still can't get my head around it. Fish is such an inspiration an absolute mad man, especially for older riders getting back on the bike, like me. Ride on !!
I appreciate that, thank you!
Fish pulled everything! Awesome dude bringing us some BMX history and great riding too.
The channel definitely needed someone like Fish in it!! I love old school riding and it’d be amazing to keep Fish or other old school rider to come on the channel more often. This what BMX is all about
Man the positivity and enthusiasm in this video is just so infectious! Thank you guys for that
He keeps being all humble and then doing the most insane thing ever
Hes so good! Super entertaining to watch! He did a great job, real cool dude. I want to see him go back to that backwards grip ride and land it. You got this!
Seeing freestyle as a kid about 25 years ago, made me want a bmx bike. Finding out how hard it was made me just ride bmx instead. I love seeing content like this!
I love how stoked fish gets! Thats wicked. Props to him
Thank you!
That's for always remembering us old guys! Now I want to see Matty try a Gumby. I think it will be hysterical.
Oldschool rider here. I love riding the same way Fish does. Keep the sport alive!
Yes! Let's goooo!
@@Fishonabike I feel like I remember you from a magazine ad in the late 80's or early 90's? Is that true? Who did you ride for?
@@Aiden4130 I kinda rode for Redline. I say kinda because I worked for the company that owned Redline bikes at the time, Seattle Bike Supply. In the mid 90s they started a new line of BMX bikes and they hooked me up with bikes while I gave them my feedback on how the felt. They used me in the Redline advertising for a couple years. They also owned a safety gear company called Pryme and featured me in a few ads for them as well.
If backwards rubber ride isn't the ultimate final blow in a game of bike idk what is, some serious bike control Fish damn
Where's this man been hiding!?? More of it! That Haro BMX is so cool.
gotta love the old school riders they paved the way
It’s so awesome and jaw dropping everything he does, it makes you wonder what our bmx will look like in 40 years because it’s like going back in time.
Me and my brother would watch" Rad "and "BMX bandits" it would get us all hyped up and ready to ride.
Dang that dude Fish is dope and those trick so sick i loved it great video and showing of old school BMX would love to see more from Fish
Bro! Skills!!! That’s my era. I started BMX right about the same time on the east coast!!! Thanks for the memories!
Scotty's enthusiasm is palpable, dude clearly loves the sport
Epic Flashback. 🙏 Thanks guy's and Fish, a moment like that is what it was all about. Youre the Man!
Love it love it love it! Flatland is so cool, fish is also just a rad dude. I could watch this all day long.
This was so awesome!! Love this. My favorite flatland riding I've ever seen was Day Smith on the Hoffman Bikes Testimonies video back in 2002. No crazy spins, just smooth, flow, relaxed stylish. Fish crushed it here. I'd say the elbow manual was my favorite with the no handed hang five tire scuff a close second.
Day Smith was definitely one of my favorite riders. Such an original and distinctive style. No one rode like him.
At 56 years old I was just starting out back in '85. Aaron Dull?! I haven't thought about him in a VERY LONG TIME. We rode every weekend together for years. He was mad talented. I miss the old days. Still have my Hoffman TAJ from 94.
My Hero was Eddie Fiola ☝️😎
I'm 42 and was big into BMX from the early 90's to about 2005. I used to have a Condor but traded it at some point. Still have a Dirt Bike, Trail Boss and STA hanging up in the basement. One of my coolest memories was seeing Taj and Joe Rich riding Lot 8 at Woodard.
Sign him up ! I love fish !!!! Pay the man enough to quit his job and tour with you guys ! Matty ripping new school tricks, fish bringing the nostalgia (I’m an 80s baby) I love it ! Cheers boys ❤ from down under 🇦🇺
I hope the next time you see this man, You let him know that every single one of your viewers loved every second of that . And would like to see him again 💪
I witnessed Fish ride a hang five full speed in the rain at a Mat Hoffman show. He just borrowed one of their bikes and went nuts. He has some serious hang five skills.
great riding fish thanks scotty im 50 in may still ride my bmx great to see more old but gold rad as//////
I'm 48, my friends who still love old school BMX are 48 and 50... Stay Rad brother!
I went down a nostalgia trip the other day and watched the movie "Rad" again. I had forgotten that the front pegs were fork mounted, not axle mounted. That makes a huge difference for front leaning tricks, I'm sure.
Unbelievably amazing talent! Love that bike too! Brings back so many memories! I was never good like that, but boy I wanted to be!
That rubber rides like something off a video game, awesome dude
Reverse is crazy!
The no hand vader is absolutely nuts 🤘🤘 much love from Scotland 🏴 also 11/01/1987 best day to be born ❤
this gives a whole new meaning to the phrase "teach a man to fish" 🤘
Damn I want more of fish these sort of tricks are what made me fall in love with BMX as a kid
Damn man seeing this brought tears to my eyes.. so cool seeing someone around my age still doing these kind of tricks.. I never got good, but I always wanted to learn flatland tricks, wish I had actually stuck with it and never gave up.
Now i really have to restore this old school Dyno i have, if fot no other reason than just to have it looking prime.
Love watching Fish ride! I remember riding with him and a couple of our other friends in an old Albertsons parking lot and him pulling a long rubber ride all the way across the parking lot them attempting to roll it through a Jack in the Box drive thru! He didn't quite pull it off through the drive thru but in his defense that turn into it was very sharp. Love ya buddy! BLEAH!
Yo, Rickus! I forgot about that one. Love ya back!🤘 Bleah!
Osti il m'a fait rappelé du film des années 80 ... Le gang des BMX " one blue , one red and one yellow " !!! Que de souvenirs !!! Wow !!! 👏🤘👍👌✌️
This dude is crazy good. Thank you for showing us these flat tricks.
You are welcome!
Tried one of these tricks when I was 13 in 87… I was learning to skateboard mostly … but friends let me try their bikes … so cool
That was absolutely awesome. Thank you, guys
nothing can beat the skill and tech of flatland its so good
Fish is awesome, and he’s soo good on a bike. Such crazy hard tricks it’s cool to see a guy who’s been in the sport as long as he has. And you can tell with skill like that.
What an incredable show man just so insane to see these iconic tricks being done i used to see my friends try some of em & just to pull them off like you do is great keep it up as long as you can man👍
Love seeing my uncle do tricks! 😁❤️
❤ Love you!
This is incredible on so many different levels. There are so many different styles / types of riding, and this in my mind is at the top of the pile for skill and technical abilities required. I rode trials for a few years, and I would say flat land and elite trials riders have the most insane skills.
Any BMX rider should be able to appreciate how much balance and bike feel these tricks take. Awesome !
Trials is such a cool discipline; so much skill involved.
@@Fishonabike I agree. I rode urban trials for about 3-4 years back around 2003 - 2007. I was light years away from mastering it, but the feeling of accomplishment was hard to compare to anything else. I have ridden XC, DH, BMX and unicycle, and trials always gave me that "you're doing something special" feeling.... Same thing with the unicycle, but with a lot more people laughing and humming circus music at you.
@@Fishonabike When I wrote that response, I didn't catch onto your name, haha. Well done sir ! Incredible talent. Most of what you do, I can't wrap my head around
Big fan of the old school. Hope he keeps coming back on the channel.
Thank you for bringing back all the memories of the days when I was learning flatland freestyle BMX!
I love how you guys keep dropping the old school bmx bikes on this channel!! We need a regular Fish episode, he needs his own Old
School BMX channel!!!!
Solid walkthrough! I loved that era of BMX! It was so fun !
Fish. Legend.
Wow incredible, love the flatland stuff and Fish is awesome!! Would love to see more of him❤
Dude I've been getting into old school BMX just recently and I recognize this man is a BEAST!! Hope to see him more often
Fish is an absolute legend!! Didn’t even know some of these tricks were possible 🤯
I love doing stuff like this when riding street because people don't know what to think of it.... Some old riders will say something but most people have no idea that BMX is even a thing so it's cool to have people come up and ask questions. BMX4LIFE ❤
Loveeeeee G Turn!!!! My right ankle would get smashed back in the day cracking hard into it!
You can tell when someone is genuine and that’s Scotty. Stay real bro.
It's cool to see the old guy still get out and about I wish my knees were still good enough for me to ride
I’d love to see more of this artsy old-school stuff get mixed in with the more dynamic modern stuff. These old-school dudes have a lot of style. Love this guy 💯
I'm oddly most impressed (in a way) by the improvised infinity roll when the double fire hydrant didn't work out. The scuffing/rolling (Plywood Hoods, really) era tricks really were amazing. They looked great in still photography, but were completely unbelievable in person or on video just because of the smoothness of the action. Fish did a great job here. That dump truck was awesome.
Could have watched him pull tricks all day, super sick!
Great video and great riding. These riders are so talented. Brings back alot of old memories, had a few friends that freestyled flatland and were pretty good at it. Me not so good but I tried. Its always fun to watch though. Thanks
These last couple videos with Fish in them have been my favorites by far! It brings back a lot of good memories of my bmx days!
love this guy! his technique is insane!
A legend!!! Great to see and still going😊
Scotty sounds so genuine.
What a legend!
Gotta love those Frequency G tyres. Props to Chase Gouin 🤙
I'm an old schooler that loves watching the Scotty channel. I love it when they try some of the old school stuff but get frustrated when they don't quite have the correct steps to get it done. So cool to have someone like this to show what old combined with some new can look like. Is he on the museum and what name on there?
Yes... I'm not there too often, but for any social media or web forum I am Fishonabike or Fishonabike43.
Absolute LEGEND
This one brought me back! The Haro kneesaver bars and gyro, trying to master some of those tricks as a kid!
I love these old school Rad type flatland tricks!
You guys need to call Denis McCoy and get him on the channel.
Awesome stuff!!! Old school represent!!!👍
First time seeing a backward bar ride. Dude needs to make his own channel! He has skills and old-school insight that I’m sure he’d like to share more of and many of us would like to hear.
You just love to see it. Old school flatland is a different level.
Thank you, Fish! Incredible bike and body control. I cannot imagine having that type of balance. Also, was that Frazier casually throwing a 720 in the background?
At 10:55, the old school vader slide thing looks sick
Just fantastic....that was so cool...
What a great rider.😎👍
That dump truck and backwards rubber ride was EPIC!!!😅😝👍👍
Again so glad i grew up in the beginnings of freestyle. YEP i was not good at all..BUT i had passion and loved riding my BMX. Even kept it in my bedroom. NOTHING will be greater than literally anything in the 80s..
