A PID controller would achieve higher landing zone accuracy assuming you can change the set points in real time. A PID controller only gives outputs based on previous inputs so if you get a slight deviation from a non-landing engine during ascent, you would be correcting a non-existent error during landing. A Torque based controller that is integrated with a PID controller would be most affective so you know where you need to be at a specific time. This would allow you to have a PID controller with moving set points.

To create a successful, flying paper airplane you have to constitute an airplane with the right folds, creases, and add-ons. The paper airplanes that we flew in class, some worked and some did not work. To discuss the failures and successes we have to look under two categories, including the Bernoulli's Principle and the effects that the different features provided onto the plane during flight. First off, your paper airplane is crucially dependent on the effectiveness of the Bernoulli’s Principle. Without its crucial effectiveness, the paper airplane will not fly. The Bernoulli’s Principle is the law that when the velocity of a fluid (air) increases, pressure increases. A great example of this method in the paper airplanes that we tested is the loop on top of the backside of the airplane. Out of the numerous airplanes that worked, very few of them had loops in the back. These loops are designed to force the air through it, like a wind tunnel, in which there will be a build-up of air. The aftereffect of this causes the inside of that loop to be high pressure, which creates lift near the back. The effective paper airplanes that had this loop performed well, the high pressure in the back provided lift for the bulk of the plane provided well stability and thrust due to the resistance in the back. The surface area of the wing was crucial to maintain flight, especially for the successful ones. The paper airplanes that had the greater surface area (twenty inches and above) were the keenest to succeed in prolonged flight. You see, the effectiveness of a great wing surface has to do with the Bernoulli’s Principle. When flying through the air, you have to overcome the force of attraction of the Earth pulling objects towards it. One way to overcome this is by using lift and with a large surface area. The air when it is being sliced through the air by the wing goes on top and on the bottom of the wing. With the weight of the wing, the large surface area wings observed during the actual flight withered or drooped downward due to Earth’s force of attraction. The air going underneath the wing and the air going on top of the wing has to meet on the opposite side at the same time. So, the air on top of the wing has to go to a greater speed to reach the air that is going underneath, this, in turn, creates high pressure underneath the wing that rises and creates lift.
