with 12.3 ccs of street drugs running thru my blood every minute of everyday its impossible for me not to look back and see my teachers doctors pastor mentors and most of all my parents knowing i could do it i could be something. now 22 23 in march im healthy happy and if i could return half the grace god has given me for the chance to live a life so blessed i would
My Husband and I first heard this song when we were on our 1hr and 15min. ride to the NICU where our Twins were after they were born 12weeks (3months) early, they were 2lb 6oz & 2lb 8oz, so small and fragile, We worked our butts off to make sure we could be with them @ the hospital everyday and spend as much time with our 2 older children @ home, We were told that they might have problems and maybe even lose our Twin boy due to heart issues, They are now 17months old & this is our song for them
I was born with Cryzon Sydrome, and the doctors gave me less than 6 months to live. I am now 18 years old and a senior in high school, and I just accepted a full ride to Kansas State University to play softball and livestock judging. I have survived about 65 surgies to stuff that my sydrome has caused. I am a 3 time State Player of the Year and 2 time State MVP. I have proven ever single doctor wrong. I am thankful everyday that I'm here. So I believe that I am a true underdog. Go Underdogs!!
I was the prom queen, we had our little man 1 month and 1 day early...with too many health issues to count. We do live check to check, but we have it all. My amazing husband told me about this song this morning and I have listened over and over. It is our life! The life we live isn't an easy one between bills being due and 15 doctor appointments a month for our little man but that's ok. We hit our knees and we pray and God takes care of us like He said He said he would.
I used this song 2 years ago to help me get threw my daughter being born at 28 weeks and in the nicu. The words just helped me get threw allot and gave me hope. She is now 2 and doing amazing. On May 27th of this year we had our little boy Ryder come at 30 weeks I have found myself back here listening to this song for comfort. It is crazy how this song can comfort someone in this type of situation.
He is a handsome devil with a heart of gold these days. Both of them are happy and healthy as they come. The hospital is terrifying and hard but you will look back and know you got the most precious gift you could ever have.
I was the underdog all through life, born 3 months early 2 lbs 12 oz, my parents told I'd never make it, diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy at age 2. Depression at age 15. 19 years after my parents cried holding tiny me I've made it farther than those doctors could have imagined. High School College Prep Graduate of 2010. Engaged to the most amazing man in the world, possibly pregnant & living in our own little apartment. I will always believe in the Underdog.
I am the woman owner of Underdog Towing & Recovery in Reedsburg Wisconsin. My wonderful boyfriend is my best friend and co-hort in everything I do. I heard this song on the radio and couldn't believe I heard it right. Believe in us, we treat people like we would like to be treated. Not because it's easy, but because it's right. -CareeAn, proud woman owner Underdog Towing & Recovery
We had our son two months ago tomorrow. He was 33.5 weeks (6.5 early) and weighed 4 lbs 8 oz and spent 16 days in the Nicu. Now he is almost 8 lbs and doing great. I believe in the Underdog!
I am proud to be an Underdog, underdogs are the people that are always below everyone but can make through anything even when people say they can't. im an Underdog
God, this song needs to get out there!! I heard it on the radio a couple days ago and i come to youtube and its been here for 2 months!! Gosh email this to CMT or something this is amazing! Best song in the world i LOVE it!
I saw these guys in concert at The Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa, Ok. They did an opening show for Jake Owen and did an amazing job. Every since then I have loved this band. Very inspiring artists!
I've loved this song since the first time I've heard it. (: My husband and I got married at City Hall (young) and I feel like everyone thinks we aren't going to stay together, we look forward to proving all those fools wrong. (:
this is my little sisters “song “ and it’s makes me so emotional bc she was 2 months early and then had open heart surgery at 8 months old.. and i just am so happy she survived idk where i would be if i lost her
This song came on as I was getting out of the car to go to work the other day. I was late clocking in so I could listen to the whole thing. I've been playing it on repeat since. All that comes to mind while I listen is the most important guy in my life, my very best friend. He was born with a heart defect and wasn't supposed to adulthood. He's almost 21 now and we're both supposed to graduate college in less than a year.
I was diagnosed with autism when I was 14 and everyone said I would end living dependently with family all my life. I'm 19 and now everyone says I am one of the greatest men they know. Funny, huh? :,)
This song really hellped me to work for something that I wanted. I have always been the "Under Dog" I worked hard and my (Football team) only won 2 games last year, but this year we won 5 lost 4. At our last game we were losing 6-0 with 45 seconds left and they had the ball. Within their own 5 yard line, they fumbled. Our line backer dropped on it as nd then on first down. Ran it to the 1 yard line, on second down, scored the touchdown, then our kicker came out (Who hasn't made a PAT all year) and kicks it and then got the extra point. They had 2 chances to score. We kept tgem from getting into field goal range. Then we won the game 7-6. Our team has always been the underdog. We have NEVER had a winning season. But this year we did!
i love this song one of the best it fits my parents so well like it was written about there life together. my father died this year a few months ago we played this at his funreal. its a great ssong but every time it plays i cry..but i cant stop listening to it..
this song is a story of both my life and so many people. have had to over come every thing with narcolepsy and learning disabilities all through out middle school and high school. people who were under dogs Tom Brady, Sea biscut , secratareat, Micky Ward,Alexander the Great,U.S. President Harry Truman,Boxer James Braddock,1980 USA Hockey Team and many more
i was an underdog as well born to a drug addict mother 2 months early 2.8 lbls i was diagnosed with cerebral palsy before i left the hospital i was 7 weeks old when my miracle showed up the woman and man i call my parents they believed in me from the start never holding me back from anything after a long battle with learning, emotional, physical disabilties, and still not knowing if something will happen and ill once again be back to where i started
When my husband and I first heard this song we thought of our son we just had. Now I think of it again. Austin Wyatt Eggert-Michael 10/17/2011 - 11/10/2012.
I was a underdog. i stopped breathing at a week old and was sick most of my first 2 years of life and my parents were told that i wouldn't live past the age of 16 due to heard defect. well here i am 27 years later and loving life and trying to be a writer. not bad for some one who was told that i would die at 16. Never count a underdog out. they turn out to be the strongest people in the world
This song means alot to me because my horse is always called "the moron" everyone told me he wasnt worth it and i was wasting my time with himt. hes come so far sense ive ridden him and i know he can get so much farther, he wont ever be a fancy dancey horse but i dont care, i dont care about winning or this and that i love him & always will we've (probally) qualifyed for state, we proved everyone wrong & even though well always b the underdog we try our best! I love ya cody
gwilo i am a underdog i was a 1pound and half win i was born i had 3 wholes in my heart got it fix win i was 11years old i played everything and learned karate and got two blackbelts and work at a prison my mom told me the doc said i would not live well i am 46 years old and still going strong thank u god
This song hits so close to home We just had a little girl 1lb 12oz and she is doing great now at 3lbs 14 oz. She fit in the palm of our hands but is almost to the point she can come home.
She is now the tallest kid in Jr high. Reading at a 11th grade level and doing amazing things. So proud of them both. You would never know they were premi. If anyone is going threw this type of situation put your trust in God and yes things will be hard some times. But you will get threw it and look back and think that was so scary.
im 18, im 135 ibs and my arms are like toothpick, ive had a crush on the same girl since 5th grade. blue-eyes, blonde hair....but i can still outrun anyone in my ROTC class. long live the underdogs.
@CaityLyn2010 bless you my dear, and congrats to you becoming a mother. as a dad of a special needs kid that is routinely written off by doctors and society in general, i have learned to "pay no mind" to the haters. we as humans, with the grace of god, adapt and overcome....i think sometimes doctors forget that. i have talked with many physical therapists that scoff at doctors prognosis' truth is the only person that limits you , is you. thank you for sharing your story.
i'm the underdog born 2 months early i was really sick when i was born they didnt know if i would make it or not but i did and im the tallest girl at my school now and i will always believe in the underdog cause they are the ones that will accompish the most in life
My horse was an underdog..I was told he would never amount to anything and he was ugly and would never suceed, but They were so wrong! He's amazing and nobody says anything but good things now :)
@195horsegirl we also trail ride and do a lil bit of cometetive trail. we suck at the trail classes but its a good learning thing for him. (like the car wash and the big tent thing we have to walk threw)
i just heard this song for the first time n it so reminds me of my son who was diagnoised with autism at age 6 i love him to death and would never change him just the disability he loves basketball but doesnt really understand the game hes played thru his junior high, but were not sure if he will be able to go further or not but i thank god everyday for him
Me and my wife have known for some time that we were unable to have children of our own. March 17th of this year a crack head gave birth to a two-month premature, 3 lb 15 oz little girl that she didn't want so bad she tried to abort the baby herself and failed. Here we are 3 monthes latter and that little underdog who refused to be not wanted is now our little girl whom has given more joy than we could believe possible!
@JAHETK4510 He left to do his own thing. Stokes approached Jason Wyatt last year about working collaboratively and they hit it off really well. Decided to start over with a new Trailer's feel, but kept the band name. Wyatt has a pretty great voice, too. You can hear other songs on ReverbNation
I can't believe how far I've come. The pain in the ass who always got in the way, told me I'd never make it on my own, the very definition of underdog. Everything was a challenge, everyone gave up on me after the first few trys. I never stopped succeeding, never stopped getting better.
with 12.3 ccs of street drugs running thru my blood every minute of everyday its impossible for me not to look back and see my teachers doctors pastor mentors and most of all my parents knowing i could do it i could be something. now 22 23 in march im healthy happy and if i could return half the grace god has given me for the chance to live a life so blessed i would

Looking at these comments, this is the reason I love country. So many people can connect to it and I can feel the song and their feelings better.
