Hi Dustin. as of recent I'm going through some rough times. I started watching your adventures right around the time my girlfriend of 7 years left me. What your doing and your videos are about the only thing that keep me going every day. I thank you very much from the bottom of my heart. Just wanted to share 🙂

Glenn, I’m very sorry to hear you have been struggling. It seems this life likes to give us all a few more of those than we’d prefer, but I assure you they all pass. Thank you so much for enjoying the show, and I’m very happy to hear that it brings some joy into your life. It brings a lot of joy into my life, because I can only do it because of the folks that enjoy it like yourself. If anything, I thank you.
Chin up amigo, today’s gonna kick ass and tomorrow’s gonna get a little easier.

Glenn, I feel your pain. I got dumped after 27 years of marriage +3 years living together prior to marriage. Heal yourself! I actually feel healed and have thrived! Get out and do anything! I found Dustin’s channel because I love abandoned places. I saw Chernobyl after my failed marriage, I went to burning banks…. the point I guess is just start anywhere! I just finished watching Dustin’s trip to Whittier, my neck of the woods!❤️ Just do one small adventure!
On another note…Dustin, thank you for posting really great content!

I have a friend that goes up to Beaverton every year, he said it's been raining since he got there. That power plant was cool. Think it'd make a good amusement park. Yea! They could fit the cooling towers with ramps that start at the top and circle around and around all the way to the bottom. For the ones that chicken out you could have an emergency exit ramp! Yee-Haa!! What a spin on life that would be. Bet you could make that 24 billion back in no time. That old house i just love. To bad i didn't see any for sale sighs. Had my pen ready tho. Good fixer upper there now. Hey Dustin, great explore:-)

Our tour guide was a super smart guy that was part of the team that was in the process of writing the start up procedure for the reactor when the project shut down. At 4:57 the dome you speak of is the dome for the second reactor that was almost finished and ready to be lifted.

I lived in Elma WA for 2 ½ years starting in 1981. I worked for Ebasco Services as a piping/mechanical engineer building Satsop #3. I saw cooling tower #5 being constructed (awesome slip-ring concrete pour) and #3 reactor, steam generators, and containment dome being set using the largest mobile crane in the world. We set an industry record 50% project completion in 2 years while I was there. I think I worked in one of those offices with the locked doors! Haha. Glad to see Satsop has been put to some use, though sadly it looks like an operating Nuke Plant on the grid would be helpful right now. Your video brings back many memories and is very well done, Great job! Loved the drone work too! I have a Phantom P4P drone and was curious as to what you are flying. I also use DaVinci Resolve Video editor which I love. The NW Pacific coast is an amazing part of the U.S. and I loved exploring all around the Olympic Peninsula and Puget Sound. Safe travels and keep up the great work!

Omg Noooo!!!! You should've picked me up on the way lol! You were at the old U.S. Coast Guard boat house pier. 😭. I've crabbed Garibaldi so many times over the years, it's my favorite spot! I'm in West Hillsboro.
There's a public pier right across by the fish cannery or whatever down by the Garibaldi Marina. It's one of the best spots for crabbing but I do love the old pier you crabbed, especially when it's as stormy winter day 🥶.
If there's been a lot of rain recently the freshwater dumps into Tillamook bay and reduced the salinity pushing the crabs further out into the bay or ocean.
The Jetty Fishery just North of Garibaldi always seems to have crab and boat rentals, they had a sign out front that said "Sleep with us & catch crabs!" 😂.
I had always wondered about the old nuclear power plant up in Washington but boy oh boy was I surprised when you went to my favorite crabbing spot. 😊. Thanks for the video Dustin. Safe travels!

3 things u can try regarding over heating on your alternator.1-get an offroad alternator. The good ones have heavier diodes and double up the regulator 2-get some sheet aluminum and make a heat shield for under the alternator 3 run some kind of flex piping from the front near a fresh air source not behind the rad but rather off to the side were you have access to cold air coming thru as u motor along. Also make sure it is grounded well the alternator...pipe dont matter.Great channel

The problem I have with this alternator, is that it’s motorhome chassis specific, and only comes in 105 amp. They just can’t seem to keep up, but I might get one custom made that can handle more.

Dustin: Great choice nuc power plant, agreed there is just something apocalyptic about these places especially when they are unused or abandoned. The piece of equipment you spied near the end of plant tour is what we refer to as a TBM or Tunnel Boring Machine. It's definitely new suspect its being storing there cus there's lots of space. Once fully assembled they are as long as a hockey rink. They will use two of these to complete the tunnels for the subway extension project in Vancouver.

This video was awesome! I’m 19 and when I was 16 my two buddies and I took a road trip to Hartsville, Tennessee to the nuclear power plant next to the trousdale correctional facility. It was never completed as on March 22, 1983, they ran out of money about halfway through. It was quite the adventure until the place was surrounded by county sheriffs… Apparently we parked in a sketchy spot and they didn’t quite like it. Needless to say it was my very first abandoned exploration and it forever captivated my love for exploring! Keep up the awesome videos!!!

The site was abandoned for 15 years, 1984 to 1999. NASA is not a tenant of the park. The windows are blocked by the tenants that rent that space. The weird round thing, as you called it, was a top to the round containment building that sits behind it. The compass painted on top of the lid is said to be correct. Had you stopped for a visit during working hours some of the workers could have answered most of the questions you had. The large machine you saw, is a tunnel boring machine which is used for training by the Laborers Training Trust. The large tunnel you saw under the tower is used for tunnel training by emergency responders, who also use the towers for high-angle rescues. Military use the park for training as has DARPA. Very cool drone footage.

That lid is from the #5 containment vessel. The lid for #3 was destroyed when the Chicago Bridge and Crane bolted to the #3 vessel collapsed and destroyed a lot of the building in May of 1980. We as workers weren't supposed to talk about it. L&I never knew about it but then again the contractors were self insured.

Wow,you were only about ten miles from my place. We’d of cooked ya a good home cooked meal. We really enjoy your show. You’re a fantastic wrencher. Told my wife you learned a lot working with your dad around all that equipment. I’m a retired forester and worked all that ground around the nuke plant. Anyway, keep up the good work. You came through Sumas, Welcome back. Not sure you really want to be back. Weather has been crappy more or less since you left. How you liking our high gas prices! Can't wait for your next adventure.

Thank you. It’s nice to be back. I really do feel welcomed back with all of these comments from my Canadian amigos. Honestly, the gas prices suck here. Three countries in the past two months, and Canada is almost exactly the same as both USA and Mexico gas prices combined. I am so excited for the northern adventures, and I’m proud to be back in Canada, I just don’t understand the gas price. Anyways, that will be my only rant, lol sorry. Thank you for enjoying the show.

so the dome was originally to be used for radioactive waste and transportation of the waste basically it was gonna be drums of clothing or gloves or random things that become radioactive low level waste, it would not sit for long before being shipped to Hanford or another location for disposal. the whole site use to have razor wire fencing around the entire complex with two security gates that are no longer present. I was selected of a tour of 100 people mostly kids me and 4 others were given the chance to stand inside the not yet started reactor, though it was never started it was ready to go. we went through the containment doors when they were both still there lol

At TIme Index (TI) 5:00 minutes in, that some would have been the top to the reactor, which you show at TI 5:35. At TI 5:58 the round thing/ huge drill bit, is a somewhat small TBM, tunnel boring machine. Fortunately for you they never had any radioactive material at that site. I dig that old Chevy stuck in the tree.

I laughed when you said that the windows were tarped up because the first thing that came to mind was it's a Grow Show and then when I heard that power hum from the Transformers and I said the same thing it's gotta be a Grow Show lol
Thanks for another great video. Cheers

He made a bad decision with that park. He’s very lucky he wasn’t even an inch closer. Damage looked very minor from the drone. Was crazy timing

Very cool video of Satsop. I work in the nuclear industry and love seeing some of the never built places. I've been in Bellefonte NPP years ago which is a B&W design and Watts Bar 2 before it was finished (Westinghouse design). I think Satsop must have been a CE design.
A partially built Containment Building (with dome on ground), Auxiliary Building with Spent Fuel Pool (around the base of containment), and Emergency Diesel Building was interesting to see.

I live by there. I remember when it was being built. I drive up there every once in a while. They have a model of it in one of the buildings of what it would of looked like when finished. It had all the pipes and wiring. Really cool!

They demolished the cooling tower at Trojan in Oregon for whatever reason a few years ago. It wasn't hurting nothing and it kind of marked the halfway point between Portland and Astoria on Hwy 30.
