This is why the "Is your bassist too loud?" option put in Guitar Hero Metallica lol
no such thing as too loud /m\
Yeah )) \m/
Never played Guitar Hero, but this option will be probably because of Lars Ulrich uber sound skills! If Lars was president, being a bassist would be a crime... or you will have to play with you electric bass... accoustic!
RPAngelov Angelov Then it would appropriate to have option like 'Is your Lars too chatty?' or 'Is your Lars too fucking up rhythm?'
\m/.......
R PA if get a bass wold be a crime, easy get a guitar and use a octave pedal :u not The same but its close
I have to say that this song is more fun to play on bass than it is on guitar IMHO
Yeah)
Captain Rudy 4021 for sure, the intro is so much fun on bass, guitar is not as fun, the lead also isnt as fun depite it be almost the same as the bass.
But bass is a guitar lol
I think both are equally enjoyable. for whom the bell tolls is a really easy song to play and sing at the same time on guitar so I use this song to try and train my ability to sing and play, on bass it's just fun because of all the little fills that cliff had in the bass parts so I think that their equal.
So disappointed when I first found out this was a bass riff. Made me wanna get a bass lol
Finally someone who does the octave slide. I thought I was the only one.
+Keven Klayne We are not g=doing the stuff slipshod) Thank you bro! By the way, have you seen my The Call of Ktulu? ua-cam.com/video/hgo28BnEz6s/v-deo.html
I'm not familiar with music theory, which point of the video are you referring to?
+DerTodesmeister 1:46
We are not alone anymore !!! :D Our bass covers are terribly similar and i find it cool !
Octave slides rock! I even do them when I play stuff like RATM :D
They're great for riff- transitioning.
HI CLIFF!!! How you doin?
That was a joke (and Cliff's real quote) Thank you for watching my video! \m/
Andriy Vasylenko Cheers!
Highly distorted bass sound!!!!!!
and we meet again bleach
Ben Gerlach Hi!
I met Cliff on the Hollywood sunset strip the summer of 86 outside Gazzarris nightclub. They were opening for Ozzy. I drove from North Dakota with my band mates to investigate the LA music scene as we later moved there. Cliff and James were outside Gazzarria and we then saw them inside again. It was a weeknight and very quiet. I was a teenager and embarrassed because I still had the big metal hair and had only recently really gotten into Metallica. After that night I never puffed up my hair again and our band went from a MOtley Crue style band to a Metallica style band. Anyways good time. Long live CLiff!
Thanks for your story Jason!
Jason Scott how is your band called
So lucky dude!!!
luck lvl. 10000
Mötley and Metallica are the best
1:55 )))
val Dis 1:55 was cool :-D
bass + overdrive = sexy as hell
One of the most heavy sounds ;)
Your bass sounds wonderful
Specter listen to the real song. the bass sounds like that in the song
@@ethansmithmusic yeahhhhhh
THAT WAS THE BASS IN THE INTRO??? I'm obviously no musician and all this time I literally had no idea. I always thought bass guitars just followed the rhythm guitar chord for chord in the background just to provide "weight" (keep it from sounding flat)...I wonder how much else I've missed in songs where it was the bass all along.
Bass can do more)
Sam Rosenbalm listen to some Jaco Pastorius. You'll see that the bass does more than follow the guitar.
Or Primus
Check out "Orion" by Metallica too
Bass is the backbone of the band
They should make bass this loud during their concerts
If robs tone was a little cleaner in this song id agree, he uses the wah a little too much and its too fuzzy. Not fuzzy in a good way either
Long life Cliff Burton R.I.P lml
+acc 320 \m/
lml
When I was a kid, I wanted to play bass so fuckin badly because I wanted to be just like cliff. He was such a huge inspiration to me along with the rest of 80s thrash metal. I ended up a guitar player though because Trey from Morbid Angel lol, like the Altars of Madness era-- Morbid Angel. Though Metallica, Slayer, even Cannibal Corpse and Dying Fetus were my foot in the door (from rock n roll) to heavy music. Cliff is still my hero and this song in particular will always hold a special place in my heart. Anyway, you nailed it, great cover.
Damn you are good!! I only know some blues I thought this song would be easy to learn but you are all over the place on that thing! I am subscribing!
Thank you! \m/
Actually it's pretty easy. I don't fully know bass but I know about 70 - 75% of the song I'd dare to say.
1:41 Lemmy chord 🤘
Lords Ulrich I mean yea but it’s a power chord
Well one of Cliff Burton’s influences was Lemmy so
The first bass riff I ever learned and it was your channel that got me into bass
Jodidamente genial!
love the bass runs!
They all are Cliff's. I played the original version
I like that you don't blend with them, you really show us cover, fucking great job, cliff em all!
Thanks a lot! \m/ Hodge=0
That sound tho! Awesome!!!
Kambanata Bie Thanks! \m/ "Orion" comes out in 2 days)
CLIFF WOULD LOVE THIS
Hey man how’d you get that sound out of your amp????? Sounds absolutely phenomenal. Just getting into bass and can’t get my amp figured out haha
I think he’s using the big muff!
Dude....I think I found Cliff Burton reincarnated 😍😲😲😲😲
Your amazing at bass Dude! Keep going!!
Learning the bass basics on an acoustic guitar from you! I'm improvising so much but its getting so much better thanks to you! Keep up the good work!
I appreciate this, thanks) I remember the time when I didn't plan to get bass and become a bassist, but I tried to play the bass lines on cheap acoustic guitar - the only instrument I had
Me at the moment :D Is it easier to go from acoustic to the bass ?
Absolutely different. Music theory is the same, but hand work is different
You can learn something from my free book andriyvasylenko.com/an-introduction-to-bass/
Thanks a lot mate i've downloaded maybe 20 tabs from the site :D
Are you planning on making some Load and Reload covers ?
0:58 the badaddest riff ever
Sound very gross…
I dig it
I think this is the heaviest bass cover on UA-cam. Nice job
Fabulous, I often listen to your video in the morning in my car driving to work. One of the best videos of UA-cam for me! Bravo!
This is amazing! I did find another way to play the part right after the intro. Personaly, Ifind it easier instead of 5th fret top string to use second string open. But, this is by far one of the best covers. R.I.P Cliff
You're brilliant. I really appreciate your work and you deserve the best in life
The distortion and the octave slides are just painfully beautiful mate. Thank you for sharing this! Literally an honor to have heard this beauty. Metal on and RIP the greatest! He'd be proud! \\m//
Thank you so much! \m/
Again, an astonishing performance, i've looked at many covers of this on bass though none could nail Cliffs sound, some had got close but never quite there, but I must say im blown away by this you have not only nailed that iconic sound but you have also smashed the timings and you do the slide that not many do, truly impressed keep it bro.
Thanks) There's not so much of those who notice the details, and we both are in the count \m/
if I didn't know any better, I would think you're cliff.
Oh, I'm flattered=)
Are you cliff reincarnated?
Andriy Vasylenko You are Cliffie twin :)
he is cliff and chuck being combined
Only cliff can play bass so hard other bassists play more light
U are the reason I play bass rn
Underrated channel 🔥🎸🔥
Nice bass!
Daniel P'Lopez Thank you!
What's the bass?
Marco Peña the four string guitar 🎸
@@LibraJaguarStar i think they ment the model
This is insane, i love it!
Woow wow What brutality, my God, without a doubt one of my favorite songs from the band Metallica. Very good cover bro.
wow that is the best sounding bass cover to for whom the bell tolls i have ever heard
I always use an envelope pedal when I play this (it’s like a wah) and it sounds awesome in the intro
Great video. It really helps me play again after 20 years of not playing.
Thank you. You could check out more videos, my Orion is here ua-cam.com/video/VPg3qsbALIo/v-deo.html
Jason and Rob have never played it this way. Finally someone who identified the tail flick on the wah crunch. Only one thing, the flick needs to be have a step quicker. Otherwise, well done.
Really fucking badass.Amazing job man!
+Doc Faustus Thank you o much!)) \m/
love the sound of the intro - real close to original and involving
Nice
Nicely Done

+AcerManAcer Thank you so much! \m/ Check out The Call of Ktulu on December 24. That's the POWER!)
Nice work! I want your shirt...very folkish.
HOLY SHIT OwO
Its a face :v
God bless you for this vid
for this song did you use a wah pedal and do you have one because I hear for that if you play this song on bass you need a wah pedal
I don't have wah. Rob plays without it. Still good)
but do you you use fuzz or distortion? (Or both)
dockmonkey _jr you have to use a distortion pedal, not to actually play the song I’m sure you can play all the cords without one but the pedal creates the sound made in the song
@@marcosromero1599 distortion dosent really help with much overdrive, compression, and a Morley fuzz wah pedal (which cliff used) too somewhat get cliffs sound
Awesome cover and excellent tone dude!
thank you! I'm gonna make a live version soon
Andriy Vasylenko excellent can't wait to hear it!
I always wave to Cliff... every god damn time I hear "Everyone Hi Cliff, how'ya doing?"
You are amazing Dude

uff men my respect
\m/
Dude. You slap. I now appreciate this song more because I can “hear” the bass more now and not just in the intro. I especially love the pause and slide. Banger. Sexy. Lol.
sweet baby jesus this is a good cover! subscribed
Thank you bro! Welcome to our army \m/
Simply Awesome!
+Victor Aramis Thank you! \m/
Дуже добре зіграв! Так тримати
Andriy, What kind of bass are you using? Distortion Pedal?
Dylan Calkins Most of my videos I do with GuitarRig presets for guitar (not for bass!). It's more useful. Actually, I gonna use Boss ODB-3 Overdrive pedal for my "(Anesthesia Pulling) Teeth" cover, because that's an affair of honor=)
What kind of bass is that with that?
Dylan Calkins Ibanez Gio Soundgear N427
awesome
Franco Conchetumare Thanks you, man \m/
Different camera angles really helps to learn tabs. Thanks! 🤘🏻🤘🏻 \m/
Awesome ! Good job , man !
Hera Ioan Mihai Thank you)

+Tim Tittjung Thank you! I appreciate that you read my stuff \m/
Im picking up the bass because of this. People, wish me luck.
No luck needed. This is a simple song) Just practice
What Bass is he using?
If you still care, I think it's an Ibanez sr200x or something like that
I'm going to play this on the entrance exam to the music high school that I'm trying to get into. This and one more, can’t choose which one tho 🤔.
Do it!
Nice!
This solo was the first ever solo i've learned even thought i didnt had bass
That’s not a solo bro😂
The first part you fucking gentle kid
@@rockmetalhead7680 imagine being a grown ass adult and not knowing what a solo is and getting pissed at a kid cuz he called you out on being an idiot😂😬
