I think Greece would be a great addition to the World Showcase. And Kristen's idea for food sounds incredible. OMG What about a Soaring type ride where you're riding on Pegasus' back around the ruins?!?! 😮

I agree with Greece. A roller coaster type on the back of a Pegasus and then plunge to the underworld with Haydes. And since the are not doing much with Morocco, put it there.
I've watched a ton about Epcot and your video is one the best presented and easiest to follow showing the history of cancelled country expansions. I'm really surprised that UAE has not put up the money to make a pavilion, as their investments into bringing in tourism has been going hard. TBH all of these pavilion ideas are awesome. A Scotland pavilion would be amazing, I love the shooter ride idea. Also, does Disney have any representation for India anywhere? You can replace the Morocco pavilion unless they are planning to add an attraction.
Also, the bathroom review is top notch, keep up the good work!

I’d replace the vaguely Africa/ refreshment outpost with Australia. You could even do another Nemo-esque dark ride where you are in the tank and given to Darla/ have to avoid going belly up
or bring back the submarine ride here.
That would be so cool!! Africa would probably be the only spot that would work, there’s so much room backstage for expansion there too!

The Mount Fuji Coaster seems like the biggest missed opportunity! Would like to see more rides included into each land before they add more countries
I’d get rid of every pavilion except Norway and replace the other pavilions with Norway pavilions with a Frozen attraction.

It’s overly themed to England though, would be nice to get some Scottish representation. Even just a haggis at the pub would be nice.

Unfortunately, I say replace Morocco since they have ruined it, making it a baron country in EPCOT. It used to be one of my favorites.

Hey Ryan! It was great seeing you and Ryno today. Thanks for taking the time to stop and say hi. The Star Wars shirts y'all had on were so cool. Retro World Showcase footage makes me think of that retro Epcot Mickey shirt where he's surrounded by all of the flags of the World Showcase countries. I wish Disney would bring that shirt back. I'd be down to replace Africa with Brazil, if only to escape the incessant beating of the refreshment outpost drums. Disney could do a meet and greet with José Carioca. They could also have a Samba show, similar to the belly dancer show in Morocco. And you know Disney will set up a caipirinha stand.

Hi Ryan! I like Kristen's idea of adding Greece to Epcot.
For Scottish food, Rumbledethumps comes to mind. Also, Haggis is a very traditional Scottish dish, BUT, Haggis is banned in the US, since 1971 (it frequently contains sheep lung, which is banned in the US).

Very interesting vlog. I really enjoyed it and thought both you and Kristen had some excellent suggestions. I hope someone takes a few of these ideas seriously. My favorites would be Greece(small scale island of Santorini with delicious cuisine)and a Korean “street food” marketplace. Spain(yes- paella!!)
This was a great video and I learned a bunch! Do you remember the Millennium Village around 2000 that had mini countries?
Yes i do remember it! I don’t have any solid memories of it from when I was a kid, but I know I definitely went in there. Looking back at pictures of the play during research really jogged the memories.
I think they could easily bring that back today 👀

Brazil is the largest country in South America and the 5th largest country in the world, not to mention that it is one of the international countries that most visit Orlando's parks. It would be really cool to have our culture represented at Epcot. It's even a little sad that our Brazilian Disney character, Jose Carioca, is represented only in the Mexico Pavilion, I'm sure a lot of people believe he's Mexican
That’s a great point! With the amount of Brazilian tourists that visit disney each year, that would make a lot of sense!
I will admit, I also thought Jose was Mexican because he was in the Mexico pavilion 😣 He needs his own country at epcot! and maybe a staring role in a new Rio sequel 😂

This is something I’ve thought about a lot. I love the idea of a Greece, Spain, and Brazil pavilion. My top choice would actually be Thailand for some cool architecture & good food. I’ve also thought Ireland, Turkey, and Egypt might work.
If I had to lose one that exists now it would easily be Canada. It’s just the least interesting pavilion.

I've been thinking that the countries in the world showcase really should be proportional to the number of countries per continent, which means there should be a pretty massive overhaul in the countries represented here now, considering it's overwhelmingly European and there's only one country from Africa (which has more countries than any other continent).
So if I were in charge, I would make the world showcase:
Mexico
Egypt
China
Brazil
Kenya
America
Japan
Morocco
France
United Kingdom
Australia

Sadly I feel that the Moroccan pavilion is the expendable one. It’s beautiful but really isn’t used to its purpose. Greece or India would be a good replacement.
Especially with the amount of 3rd party vendors that have dropped out of the pavilion post-2020, I agree that it’s kind of just a beautiful shell of a spot with no meat to it. They could also just spruce it up and make it better, but yeah 🤷♂️

GREECE AND SCOTLAND would be amazing. I love Merida and Hercules!! I think America could leave. (Hot take I know) We can put 2 different countries there. Keep the theater and replace America. We have liberty square that can serve the same purpose.
I always thought all the countries should have had some kind of ride to pull people in. It didn't matter if it was based off of a movie or character.
Yeah! That’s how i’ve always felt too! But now having seen what it takes to run a full park, 11 rides in one big “land” is a ton of staffing and a film here and there helps with that too i think 🤷♂️

The Greece idea would be just perfect maybe between China and Germany removing the outpost.. Scotland itself wouldnt understand as you already have the UK and yes sorry for the Scotish people but theyre part of the UK politically speaking at least. Of course they coud always improve the existing UK pavillion by adding Scotish-Brave references. Spain would be nice but what would be the icon or related IP? Thats a difficult one, at least they could try and serve real paella not the awful imitation they serve. Spanish food is not related to Mexican or Puerto Rican food at all...I see thats a relationship Americans do because they speak the same language but the cultures are totally different and Spain is a totally different continent (Ive heard that Americans think Spain is on Mexico..is that a real thing?) Anyway, I think theres room for new pavillions but I dont think they are currently interested on adding any. My god, mount Fuji would have been the most amazing thing

I agree with Kristen and would love to see a Korean pavilion. I have nothing against the American Pavilion; however, I think it should be elsewhere like they originally planned. The park is in America. You aren't leaving the country to go there. I would put Korea there. I would like to feel like I left the US when in the world showcase.
Especially with the liberty square land existing in magic kingdom with essentially the same theming! But also, because it’s america i think that’s the one they won’t get rid of 😅😂

Don’t be ridiculous! They can’t take out any of the current countries without more backlash than it’s worth. And at this point it would be cheaper to build from scratch, especially since much of the workforce is on an exchange program! But I would love to se Spain! Also Australia and Thailand!

The Christ the Redeemer statue shouldn’t be an issue because it’s mostly a symbol of Brazil and not religion anymore
I would love to see Brazil be added! I really only brought up the topic of the statue because while researching, that was a point brought up by others about the statue.

I understand Disney wanting to put an IP in each country but I prefer the countries without them,so Maelstrom was great and never had a wait longer than 5-10 minute,now with Frozen it has that permanent 90 minute wait that's the most annoying wait in Disney as the line barely moves.At France I loved that Impressions de France movie,now they only put it for like 90 minutes at the end of the day,that sing a long the rest of the day blows,I wont knock Ratatouille as it didnt replace a worthwhile attraction so technically I dont have a problem with new IP attractions I just have a problem with them if they replace attractions I liked that didn't require me to wait long times or retro 1982 films of France with awesome music that I loved.
I totally get that! As a diehard fan of old epcot, i prefer a lot of the older stuff. Disney just has to pump the IP IV into what they’ve got to get new kids into the parks and that’s the way it goes 😭
Hoping we get some new original IP soon with Joe Rohde re-entering the company 🤞

I knew most of this history, but you tell it in a very entertaining way that I will gladly act like I didn't know already. I'm still surprised they never added another country after all these years, but I also want that damn Fuji coaster! Scotland having its own country despite it being part of the UK would be very fitting since they want out of that relationship. 🤣
If I had to delete a country it would obviously be America 💁♀ and replace it with either Greece because I love Kristen's idea and also want to visit there, India because you make a great point about food or Jordan because Petra would be an amazing landmark recreation.

I hated your thoughts on the Christ the Redeemer statue of Brazil. You are showing your bias toward Christians. Will not be tuning back in.
My comments on the statue had nothing to do with any bias towards christianity.
I didn’t even know it was a controversial take to say that a statue of a religious deity maybe wouldn’t work in a non-religious theme park was a hot take.

I’m really glad to hear the UK pavilion bathrooms have authentic non-gappy stalls 😄 and I don’t want to offend anyone… but I’d remove the US pavilion and replace it with two other smaller ones 🫢
