Cheers Phil, I will be definitely trying out the Milton hack, I did notice little black bits when we first started using the toilet over the Easter holidays, thanks again Phil keep them coming, 👍👍.
Great tips Keith Had the same problem with our toilet. I did the same as you but eventually I had to get a new pump. Love the cork tip, will definitely try that one. Love the channel. 👍
Hi Barry. Yes the pumps do go after a while, like anything nothing last for ever these days😕. The cork works fine the plastic thing is destined for the recycling bin. Many thanks Phil👍🙂
Hi Glyn. Yes the cistern chemicals do cause most of the black gunk. We have stopped using them and just use water and a little zorflora . Thanks Phil👍🙂
Just having breakfast Phil and enjoying watching you working 😄. At the start of each holiday we are finding the black bits in the toilet flush a big problem and it seems to be getting worse. Gail is most eager for me to try your Milton tip. Great overall video with other good tips 👍. Best wishes to you both, Rob & Gail
Hi Rob n Gail. I hope breakfast was a hearty affair😋. The Milton does work we now have no black bits and we have now stopped using loo chemicals in the flush tank. Many thanks Phil👍🙂
Great tips, thanks for sharing. Especially for the windows as I was wondering what to use. 👍🏼 Re the freezer, again a good tip. Never thought of using a cork. I’ve got some of the grey pipe lagging that I wedge over the freezer box door to create a gap for air circulation. Also use it on the cupboard and doors over winter for same reason.
Hi MrsB. Thanks very much. Pipe lagging is such a great bit of kit there are so many uses for it. I use it on my ladders when cleaning the roof of the Van. Thanks for taking the time to comment. Phil.👍🙂
Great tips especially the toilet Keith going do that later. Just going order that spray our tops are white to always a worry of marking them so have mats everywhere 😂. Thankyou. X
Hi Keith and Alison. The Bar keepers is a great cleaning product with no after effects. Yes Juliet made 2 replacements this year as the bedding colour was changed so of course they had to match😂. Poor Keith am i giv ing him more work to do😇. Thanks again Phil🙂👍
Hi Phil. Could you put the Milton solution in the 5lts of water first then pour it in the loo tank? Just a thought. I’m going to have to get some Bar Keepers Friend. Thanks for all the tips.
Hi. Yes you can the reason I did it separately was the water container I use is for fresh water cleaning caravans. Also I could show the measure. Hope this explains my method. Thanks Phil🙂👍
Hi Martin. The sludge is a by product of using Loo Rinse chemicals. We don't use them now. We just use water and loo chem in the cassette. It works fine. Thanks Phil👍🙂
Hi Bill. It would appear you have a lot of condensation in the van. First tackle this. Try this for the curtains. A hard bristle brush with stain remover is a good combination, you should also consider machine washing and then air drying to try to work the worst of the mould off. Hope this helps. Phil👍🙂
Some good tips there. Can I ask ,did you ever get round to using that sun canopy? We're looking to get one, that's easy to put up and doesn't break the bank. Cheers
Hi Glen. Thanks for watching. Honestly I have not had the weather to record it. It's not the canopy it's my equipment that would be the issue. I have partly recorded. I intend to record the rest very soon. I am going to record at the storage yard in between the dam rain showers. Just give me a couple of weeks. Thanks Phil👍🙂
Hi Lisa. Thanks for commenting. To clean the window catches, may I suggest an old tooth brush. Spray some elbow grease on the brush and work into the catch. Avoid getting the Elbow Grease on the windows though as it can damage them. Perhaps protect the window with a damp cloth. This will do the job. Hope this helps. Phil👍🙂
@@lostweekendscaravan you generalise- I disagree- not @caravanmagic products which consistently receive great reviews and are used by many professional valets of statics, touring caravans and motorhomes.
I think we were both generalising. I was referring to Theftford tank cleaner etc. I use Caravan magic's outside cleaning products. The crud buster is one of the best products on the market and their black streak remover, as I have said in past videos. I still stand by bar keepers friend for white worktops and stainless steel (not endorsed). Thanks Phil.

Hi BB. The Milton has really worked. We now no longer use chemicals in the flush tank, just water. Glad it will help. Cheers Phil👍🙂
Great tips Keith

Hi Phil like the magic sponge tip. I use the ice tray to wedge freezer compartment open. 😁👍
Hi Colin. Thanks. We don't have an ice cube tray but a great idea. Thanks Phil🙂👍.
Nice one Phill the times I’ve seen those toilets gunked up usually when people have left a little pink stuff in , good film regards Glyn

Thanks Mark. I try my best. Phil👍🙂
Nice Phil, neat hacks.
Thanks David. Hope you and Lindsay are well. Thanks again Phil👍🙂
Once again thank you for your cleaning tips 😊
Hi Howell. You are welcome I am trying to just show alternatives to the Branded cleaners that really do not work. Thanks Phil.👍🙂

Love bit of WD40. As a matter of interest, what is it that causes the black sludge... 🤔

Any thing for mould on curtains liners Phil 🤔

@@lostweekendscaravanan old toothbrush - great idea! Thank you very much for replying. 😊
You are more than welcome🙂
'Hacks' are fine- but why not use a product specifically designed for the job in the first place for best results?
Hi JH. There is a simple answer to that question most of them are crap over priced and don't do the job. Thanks Phil.

Hacks are a cheaper way to do a job with similar or better results isn't the the aim ?
@@paulmorris8775 not necessarily cheaper, or better.
