Hi,bought 12v fr. relay and 2 fans on eBay for £22;wired up in garage and tested ok,works from about 15 metres away.will fit in van later on as not needed at moment and going away soon( in uk)Cheers Keith
@@keithbradley8737 Awesome. I am so glad you have been able to make a fan system for such a low budget. I am not that tech minded. The titan fan works well for me and much better than the dometic waste of money fan. Phil:)
Hello happy super cool fridge fans such a simple addition makes one wonder why it does not come as standard, but yes i remember the fridge getting hot ! From the oldies in retirement town
Hello Seaside Old Folks Home. It is a great product and it worked so well in Spain. Doubt I will need it the UK especially looking out of the window today. I need a wind turbine to get free Lecky. 😂 Cheers P&J (Asda Man). 👍🙂
Hi Phil. Thanks for posting the Titan twin fan video. As I explained previously, we also had the Dometic fan fitted but it dropped off it's sticky pad and it's too tight to get my hands in to refit. I have now purchased the 9cm Titan fan for our Swift. I measured the fridge vent and concluded that the 10cm & 12cm models would be too big. Our fridge is over the wheelarch on the nearside and the top vent includes the gas flue so the fan will be offset to one side like yours. Unlike your installation, I will be able to locate the controller inside the caravan. I will utilise the Dometic fan's 12v power feed as it comes directly from the fridge's power connection block. Regards, Barry.
Hi Phil. Just watched your video. Great to see you getting around and filming all different locations 😆 serious, tho great video on cooling the fridge. I must look into this as I've got the same set up as yours. Last year we used a fan on a bench blowing air over the fins, which did help but need something more permanent. Cheers Paul
Hi John. Hope all is well with you. It has worked well for us too. Very happy with its performance. Thanks and nice to hear from you. Phil & Juliet. 🙂👍
Very good video Phil, keeping the fridge cool even in the uk has always been a pain in my van , I always use a fridge thermometer and it’s quite worrying when you check the fridge and the temp inside is 10c, this is very affordable and one I’ll definitely consider, thanks Colin.
Hi Phil looks impressive, if we take van abroad I’ll invest in the kit. Thanks for the video I need all the caravan input I can get now the van is in storage wrapped up. 😁👍
Hi Colin. Thanks It's a great fan. I only have one more video till after Christmas so you will be without like me😕. Hopefully many more in the New Year. Cheers Phil.🙂👍
Hi Noorman. I was brave wearing them when I recorded it in Spain😂. Good system though shame Titan would not sponsor it but you can't win em all. Thanks Phil.👍🙂
Hi Phil, pleased the new fan kit is working for you 👍. When the fans aren’t running do you think they partially block the natural airflow? I think the Dometic kit had a faulty thermo switch. Changing that would have cured the problem. Cheers, Rob 😀
Hi Rob. Yes the Dometic one could have been a switch. It does seem to block the air flow. I have noticed that the intake air sometimes turns the fan. It works really well especially when it is very hot. Thanks Phil.👍🙂
Good info Phil, thank you. A blue tooth link to the controls from a phone app or control unit like you get with cheap LED lights would make it perfect- is there such a thing?
Morning Phil, Great vlog on a nice bit of kit. It's a shame you had to purchase a second one though, would expect dometic to do the job. Do the tabs on the outside interfere with winter covers. Could the controller go in the battery box. Cheers Paul 👍
Hi Paul. sometimes we like to show our ups and downs. This is a good fan system. I am not sure if it would effect a vent cover. I don't use vent covers as I cover up the van fully at this time of year. I thought about the battery box but I would still after drill into the firewall! This is something I have not worked out yet. Thanks Phil.🙂👍
Hi there. Our microwave has decided not to work in the caravan! Can you just buy one and fit it yourself or does it need to go to a caravan workshop to be fitted?
Hi, You can use a standard microwave but you need measure your current one and also make sure you buy the same wattage MW as well. Hope this helps. Phil. 🙂👍
I am going to use a 12v rf relay to switch it off and on with a zapper (like a car key) as and when required
Hi Keith. Sounds good let me know how you get on. Thanks Phil. Merry Christmas & Happy New year for 2025. 🙂👍

Hi Barry. Thanks for the update. I would have done the same. Enjoy a cooler fridge. Many Thanks Phil.🙂👍

Hi Paul. Thanks. I would recommend the smaller fan set as it will fit better in your fridge vents. Hope this helps. Phil.👍🙂
Great video might do this to our off grid static caravan thanks for easy to follow seems
A great
Solution!
Hi Sean. It works really well. I am very pleased with it plus its cheaper than the Dometic one. Thanks Phil. 👍🙂
Another great info video Phil, but I have a problem with caravan fridges, especially mine working on gas lol
Hi Marc. Glad you liked it. I hope you get your fridge fixed soon as they are not a cheap item to replace. Thanks Phil.👍🙂
We had Titan fans fitted in our van. Some times the weather down here really challenges the fridge. So far they have worked well for us.

Hi Colin. This has been a great investment. Yes even in the UK it can be a challenge to keep the fridge cool. This does a great job. Thanks Phil.🙂👍

Another informative and interesting video. I did think you were brave wearing shorts at this time of year😀

Another good informative video Phil - May look at installing on our caravan
Hi Andrew. It is a great fan system. If you are considering make sure you measure your vent cover first so it will fit properly. Thanks Phil.👍🙂

Having watched another video about kitchen lights on Proper DIY, there are such a thing. Amazon shows a variety of devices at a reasonable cost
Hi John. I will look into this over the next few weeks. It would be a great idea. Thanks Phil. 👍🙂

Is Bluetooth an answer to the issue with the controller.
Hi TT. This could be the answer I just need to find the right system that would work. Thanks for the tip. Phil.🙂👍
