Watching him code through the challenges on the twitch streams has become like watching a sport to me. This is a good video to encourage us to participate as well. I'm in!
I am just starting fresh on data science and already through myself into a Kaggle competition and I was latterly lost on where to go from there until I came across this video. thank you so much for these valuable information
Thanks Soo much for making this video, Also I'm a beginner in data science/machine learning and I'm looking for a team to learn together with and join competitions with as this will help me to learn faster , Thanks
When you submit a notebook it is just run on the private test set, but not necessarily made public for anyone else to see. Basically "submitting" does not mean made public.
This is great information Rob, this is my first video from your channel. Thanks for sharing. I was wondering, what does "entries" and "score" mean in the Leaderboard? how are these calculated?
Thanks for all the info! however, i clicked on the video expecting tips to winning kaggle competitions, but it turned out to just you reading the basics and explaining the sections with very little tips.
How much knowledge of ML and data science is required to start-off Kaggle? I am a beginner in ML and I want to do Kaggle competitions because they seem fun. But, is it the right time to do so?
In my opinion there is no downside to joining a competition. Read others work and attempt to understand their code. Worst case you’ll learn something new.
It would be great if you could make videos on feature Engineering part. Like, how you have created new features from tabular dataset. Sharing your strategies will be helpful for us. There are many youtube videos on feature engineering. But those are just basics. They don't show any advance strategies. There are not much videos on creating new features with groupby or aggregate commands.
I find it best to work alone until you are moving up the leaderboard, then in the last 2-3 weeks of the competition find people in your range on the leaderboard and message them to see if they want to team up. You can also post on the "finding teammates" thread that many competitions have.
I’d suggest starting a competition and trying to get a working solution. Then improve on that submission and learn as you go. You will need a basic understanding of how to code in python to start.
Hi, thank you for the information. It's really helpful. I am unable to download the datasets because they are huge. How can I solve the issue? My laptop is MSE - gaming laptop.
Hi, thank you for this video. I wanna know about if there are many files in the data set in kaggle competition. How can I use colab or Jupyter to upload that. Thank you very much.
I think you can actually just convert a Kaggle notebook into colab using the drop down menu on the three dots in the upper corner and “open in google notebook”
Thank you for all the informations !! I love your videos 😀 and Twitch livestreams ^^
Glad you like them! Thanks so much for your comment it makes me want to make more of these!

Rob helped me gain confidence to to participate in competitions, thanks
Thank you sir. My ML journey with Kaggle & Jupyter notebook begins!!!
Awesome! You won’t regret it.

Underrated channel!
Thanks so much! Tell your firends :)
Heading ahead for it. It's all about learning.
Many thanks for this explanatory video Rob!😊
Thanks I am a student this video help me a lot your channel is like heaven to me.
Thanks so much for watching!
Thanks for such detailed video. It was very informative. 😊
Where is the link to the Pog Series YT video, you said that it is in the description (3:40) but I cant find it.
thank you 😁😁😁😁
I'm confused. You said they submitted their notebook to the leaderboard. How is that not sharing information about your approach, etc...?

@@robmulla Thanks.
Thank you for the detailed instruction.
under "This is Code Competition" what does CPU Notebook
Really instructive , thanks you
Glad you enjoyed it!

Hey Rob when did you start kaggle and how much time did you dedicate for it ? Hoe much time did take for you to get a grip ? great video BTW

Have you found any clue.? I am also new to it.
@@sajjad17 nope.
@@psibarpsi oh if i know, I will inform you In sha Allah

Expect kaggle where can I find dataset again for machinen learning please?
Thank you! I still want to know should I train my model on Kaggle kernel or on somewhere else?
Use Kaggle notebooks until you find a reason not to.
Hello , may I know what's the best way to start joining completion ? Go in directly to at least take some courses first ?

How many times have u won ?

Thanks for the suggestion Towhidul! I'll add that to the list of future videos I plan to make.
how does one find a team?

Hello Rob i would like to know the skills that we need for these kinds of competitions

Hi Rob, how do we find the compute to paprticipate in this competition?
Thank you
so i can use any model? how to pick which one?
hi rob, you are perfect, thank you so much. i wonder: did you use datalore? and what about your opinion for datalore?
thanks a lot man
Hi, thank you for the information. It's really helpful. I am unable to download the datasets because they are huge. How can I solve the issue? My laptop is MSE - gaming laptop.
instead you can run in the kaggle notebook
Thanks for the video ◡̈
Thanks for watching!
Silly question but are there any comps that make sense for an aspiring data analyst ? (So no machine learning/prediction)
