@@kennylc2193 Lol... Anybody that showed up to our house back in the day unannounced very seldomly ever got in. I can still see my mother peeking through the corner of the blinds and then going back and sitting down.
One of TV best sitcoms ever to Sherman hemsley and isabel sanford and the other actors and actresses who passed away my thoughts are with your family you may be gone but not forgotten still after all these years later appreciate the memories and a good laugh the Jeffersons always a classic to watch on TV or my cell phone appreciate you guys thanks great job people you should be proud way to go very impressed !!!! Joe
The show was nice back then, but when I grew up I realized the show was just full of stereotypes. George was portrayed as a loud talking, loud laughing not from education man.
I'm sorry you don't enjoy the show anymore, but you clearly don't have the historical knowledge to realize that this series broke a number of black TV stereotypes
Almost all characters from sitcoms are stereotypes. The classy British guy, the meddlesome mother-in-law, the lazy maid etc. Archie Bunker was stereotyped as a uneducated white racist who thought he knew everything. It's what makes for funny characters
No, George wasn't a stereotype. Before his character. Black people were portrayed as maids, obedient, and other Jim Crow stereotypes. George Jefferson was the militant Black man who balanced Archie Bunker's racist "uneducated" character. George was a self maid man who rose to the tumor, escaping the Ghetto. The 70s was unique because it confronted the social issues from the Jim Crow era. It was the first time on television that we got to see Black people stand up to white people. In the end, what was noble. Turn into a stereotype.
Bentley: "I'm touched!"
George: "Look... Nobody's perfect!"😂
Sherman Hemsley was an AWESOME ACTOR 😂
💯
Yep... He was very underrated.
The competency of the secret service hasn't changed lol 😅
Your right there:)
I will love this sitcom forever!😀
Oh the days when folks just showed up at your house unannounced

Magic of movies/shows 😂😂😂 they don't think of these things.
George and Jimmy episode: Two secret service are amateurs. If I was in this episode, I would tell them to stop it already. They will hurt someone.

The issue is that your brain has been tumbling washed with all the woke mental bias of these days 😂
They were all loud they have to be so we can hear them!
