Yeah most of the fanbase didn't understand it... I remember people talking about him being drafted too high as a backup... I loved that pick because Wentz was thin glass.... It was the right move then and the perfect pick now....
It’s only because the eagles had just paid/extended Wentz before we drafted Jalen. It just didn’t make sense at the time. But now everyone is well aware

Its not that fans didn't want him in Philly, its that the pick didn't make sense at the time. They had just paid Wentz and they didn't have any WRs so picking a QB in the 2nd round was wacky.

The eagles fans thought Wentz was a franchise qb at the time and some people thought it was a waste of picks to take a qb in the 2nd round. That's what he's talking about.

KC don't have the same personel as the Niners, and the Eagles ran pretty well against the Niners, so Joe sounds crazy. So glad he's Not here anymore
I guess Eagles fan can thank Seattle for drafting Russell Wilson. To draft a QB in the second round after you've just given a huge contract to your current QB takes some kind of deep over reaction from missing out previously.
