I just want the devs to sit down and honestly explain to all 10 of us remaining priest players what is going on with our class because I don’t know if it is all going according to plan to them or if indeed that have no idea what to do and just terrified of trying literally anything for too long before either abandoning archetypes or nerfing them into the dirt.
I would want the weaker cards played more.
Maybe quests maybe you get unearnable runestones by playing weak cards like whizbang or Nozdormu or all 30 cards in your deck are minions(shadow priest anyone?) or even forcing a murloc shaman. Roleplay as a bot day.

every normal being hates priest so they should keep it dead for the good of the universe.

Hearthstone is more fun when you can counter your opponents strategy. No secret removal, no steamcleaner, no theotar, no mutanus, etc is the problem. The only counter for locations or dormant is Reno...
I never get your guys' point that the minisets dont shake up the meta at all after talking how like 5 decks emerged with much higher efficiency, but since they did technically exist before. Pain Warlock, Lightshow Mage or Secret Hunter had a major shake up and them being good decks now IS shaking up the meta. I'm not sure what your benchmark for "sufficiently shaking up the meta" is, but you cant expect that a miniset will create an entirely new never seen before deck for every class just from 3 cards each and 5 Neutrals. This is an entirely unrealistic approach
Yeah, negative bias will always cloud how people perceive stuff. If you want to complain about the miniset, make it about ACTUAL PROBLEMS, like how mass production broke demon seed (Again).
One little tip. You could incorporate replicator inator in spell token when combined with that weird naga elemental with mana cheat from throwing spell when in hand. It has 5 attack so throwing two after replicator instantly fill your board.
Aa, Battlegrounds the game has updated the side content with a "Mini Set"
Today, you almost can't play funny cards anymore.
In both Standard and Wild the game is so fast that I'm not able to play Dorian or Replicator-inator in some funny way. Of course I didn't expect them to be good, but it took me 2 hours at Platinum 5 to play the combo with Dorian my deck was made for 😅
as a 'competitive' meme player since beta, we had some months that were worse than this (IE secret paladin was raping at all meta ranks), but I agree with you. At least now you can have fun in low ranks, but not having some old meme cards rotate back in core which such a small card pool is just sad
Do you not see how this can be translated to any set of cards in a card game?
If x is faster/stronger than y, then the people who want to play y will complain. If x gets nerfed, and y is now better/stronger than z, then the people who want to play z will complain.

I am a big fan of mini sets. It is the most efficient way to get new cards at a "cheap" rate. And I know that if they replace the miniset process they will replace it with something far more expensive given recent events indicating so.
There are currently 74 different archetypes that have a winrate between 45-61% WR. I call this a success.
i feel like temporary introduction of new core cards might not be the best because in the end when they return to wild, all the cards that you have crafted for that meta will be useless once again

My major point about the mini-sets is that they started with cards that shook up the meta by being unique or interesting enough to include, nowadays the deva just seem to say, okay these three cards per class are quite good, we'll release them later. This leads to most decks underperforming because they depend on those cards - this is especially true if we speak about the first expansion of a new cycle, because there tend to be much less worthwhile combinations to play. Eventually I need to rephrase this oneday.
I'm thinking that each legit expansion pack providing 8 cards per class is not really enough to create more than one new synergistic strategy per expansion for each class. So when you have a mini-set like this you can somewhat expect that the impact is on average 'less than 1 new deck per class', which is usually about the same amount of impact as a few overpowered cards getting nerfed.
Adding core cards for a while during miniset and removing them next expansion would be too confusing for casual players
Blizzard owes the continued existence of the game to this channel giving away free advice.

Pretty hard to vs secret decks with no flare/eater of secrets and so on. Annoying to just ram through the secrets. Wish they'd give us a tradeable secret eater card.

Well if you somehow top deck that damage spewing demon or other shopper it's gonna be bananas. Worth to try if you dont care about ladder cause seems extremely fun to watch what your topdeck brings to ya.

The mini-set did one thing good. It succeeded in not making the meta game faster and more powerful overall. It created fun cards like Dorian and inator instead of making some stupidly powerful cards for the meta game to shift around them. For me the meta game is fresh and exciting.

It might be a too grand idea, but i think most of the strongest decks and powercreep could be solved with a core gameplay change like going over 10 mana.
The idea: Make it so nothing can be reduced to 0 mana, everything stops at 1. It would kill a few decks but would allow so many new ones to thrive.

by breaking a set up in 2, they are essentially giving devs and players half as long to find a balance. the game needs to slow the fugg down, majorly. im still not playing bdcause of quests, but watching from the outside now its crazy seeing how toxic and chaotic the formats all are. blizzard is a joke though we all made an agreement coming on with them lol
Yes i think there a lot of cards in who never had the chance to shine but could be interesting to see again from time to time to make the meta more interesting and the game more alive
What's wrong is Hunter killing everyone on turn 5 or 6. Yet the only nerfs it received was 1 mana plus for Jungle Gym and Saddle Up even though these are not even essential to win.
It sucks like the last few mini sets lol they need to fire their balance team also

The problem isn't the mini set itself, it's bots and interaction with older cards that have plagued the game. Hs now has to deal with the power creep that doesn't exist and horrible botting problem. The cost, botting and lack of communication has cost this game money and fans.
All decks whipping out big minions by turn 4 and all decks have board wipe except for dh
Id rather not have reintroduced wild cards. If I want the madness of wild ill go play that mode.
mech warrior is better to run the 10 mana factory assimbly guy. you can cheat it out with 5 mana. and its just 6 atk firebolt that goes random place. its good on the 4 mana copy damaged dorment card as well. and you follow up with the 1 mana mini that spawn 6 atk fire bolt.

Brann bomb warrior was so impressive they needed it into the ground and with that also killed Hentai warrior, the deck that actually was fun to play, rip warrior time to not play my favourite class for the next two years when the next off meta strat gets strong and it can be Played for a month before some mainstream meta bop variant of it ruins it for everyone
The expanding of the set with wildcards would be the death of the f2p player.

Mini sets always suck, and when they don't they make sure every good card gets nerfed after a week

I think the nerfs helped, the game is better now that 90% games aren't against plagues as that was the only way to win brann.
It's sad I can't do anything anymore in hearthstone I would have mini set by now but because off the quest increases I can't so is no reason to play hearthstone until they change this

Most of this warlock nonsense should be nerfed. All giant decks are a problem, buff pally and DK should probably be nerfed as well.
Stop this annoying race to see who can plop down the most stats on the board first.
Hunter should be nerfed, warrior Brann deck should not exist. Tendrils should be brought back, even if they have to start at one mana spells after getting to 10.
Hey that's not true. With the whole aggro meta thing, handbuff dk was the breath of fresh air on this stale enviroment. Handbuff pally is toxic i aggree but dk is balanced enough to stomp opponent only after succesfull 10 turns. If in pinch, it's gonna put up a fight, but it's far from succesfull against high aggro or lightshow archetypes. I found it succesfull only against moderately aggro decks and control types.

And a 2/4 with 8 mana being playable it's a joke. You just play reno next turn and you win.
