A small tip, I would leave the nut threaded some and tap on the bolt then finish unscrewing the nut. Just small insurance against marring up any of the bolt thread and making it not want to easily go back together.

I just did mine, have a use trailer I just purchased, mine only had one bearing, is it supposed to have two?

So, where did you manage to find a new thrust bearing?

@@gunshinestateexploration7993 I thought you just greased the old bearing. Did you replace it?

Can you show how to remove it from the bottom while it's still welded to the trailer?

Our handle fell off the jack. The pin has fallen inside, but the bottom of the jack won't come out. Any suggestions?

Don't force it... USE A BIGGER HAMMER !!
People who "put as much grease on as I can" should check afterward to see how much of the grease they used now resides in parts of the mechanism where it can not (and never will) do any good AT ALL!! (Packing wheel hubs full of grease to keep the wheel bearing lubed is a fine example. 🤣😂

You basically showed how to remove the handle, and grease the threads. Nothing about the order of disassy of the internals or the hardware inside. My jack has the threads ripped out of the traveling nut, and I need to figure out the best method of repair...if possible. I just purchased a Curt 2000 lb jack, hoping to use the internals, seeing my housing is welded "massively" to the tongue. Doesn't look good.

I looked at doing to same thing but was unable to find parts any cheaper then buying a new jack. This did the trick for me!

@@gunshinestateexploration7993 After checking out the internals of my new "sidewinder" jack, (the original is not one), it appears I too, will need to remove my old welded on housing, and installing the new one. It's not gunna be pretty. I don't look fwd to it.

I know this is old, but you can replace the bearing, with a sealed type. Fastenal take it in and tell them you want the sealed one , 10 or less, or just Google, trailer jack bearings. Ace hardware may also have them, bearing is man made, it's replaceable. They just wanted your money.
