When Criss Oliva was killed in the 1993 car accident Jon dealt with the grief of the death of his brother in the studio. He went into the studio with Paul O'Neill (yes that Paul O'Neill). Jon recorded every instrument, keys, guitar, drums and bass, all by himself with Paul doing the recording. Then Jon got Alex Skolnick to do the guitar solos, and Zak Stevens to do the vocals. This album was also the premier of what would become what would be their trademark in using counterpoint with Zak recording 5 different sets of vocals to be super-imposed over eachother. Amazing album by an amazing artist.
SAVATAGE are one of the rare bands that proved that live metal sounds better than the commercialized one when they performed live they played better than cds few bands achieved that and sorry but i don't trade olivas screams on Hounds for nothing i saw him in greece around 5 months ago he sang it better than cd the guy can hardly move but when he screams hes guts comes out needlessly to mention than i cried like a baby cause he devoted it to hes late brother God rest his soul
that's not this song he devoted to Criss Oliva but Alone You Breath (check, there's a part of Believe in the end, just because they worked together on that song taken from Streets)
Actually, you are wrong about that. On special versions of "The Wake of Magellan" there is an early version of "Alone you Breath" with Jon on vocals...wait for it....Criss wrote the song, proving that he knew about his death.
that's totally not the case honestly. The one he did for his brother is Alone You Breathe. Please go check any live of Trans Siberian Orchestra, each time John Oliva starts this song, he said it's about his brother Criss

He supposedly had dreams about it, he wrote Alone you Breath and Believe
well, i know for a fact that he wrote those songs, and that's thwe great evidence, but i've heard this divine lore from more than a few youtubeers
i am pretty sure he devoted it to hes brother

yeah, "supposedly" according to whom?
what the hell are you saying?! Criss knew he was going to die...in a car accident?! Are you really serious about that?
