This band could do no wrong back in the day. Don't care if I'm cast out as being stuck in an era (you have no idea how much music I discover daily), this era produced some awesome music. From Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder in the 70's to Archspire today for me), music IS life and everyone should get the chills and/or cry just once over a piece of music. Then you'll understand.

Bon Jovi and Richie Sambora co-wrote this with songwriter Desmond Child. The characters in the song (Tommy and Gina) were loosely based on Desmond and his girlfriend back in the 70's. He was a NY taxi driver and his girlfriend (Maria) was an actual waitress who was called Gina by her fellow employees due to her looking like Italian actress Gina Lollobrigida.
Tommy and Gina are also referenced again later in Bon Jovi's song from 2000... "It's my Life"
